Hi!! Been on Zoloft for 4 years, wellyb for 3. The Wellbutrin always gave me headaches & episodic migraines (never had before) but now I have chronic light sensitivity so it’s time to switch.
Any hope for less side effects on Effexor? Are migraines or photophobia/light issues a thing people have experienced here on an SNRI?

Out at a park I stumbled across a rooster. My best guess is he’s a black laced gold wyandotte. Based on the park and surroundings I’m fairly confident he was abandoned there.
I know next to nothing about chickens nor do I have a coop set up to take him in.
Is it more humane to let him be or catch him and put him down? I know some domesticated animals do relatively fine in the wild and for others it’s cruel. He’s not hurting anything where he is, I just dislike animal cruelty and genuinely don’t know which is lesser wrong here.

Hi there! I want to apply to a computer science master in Bristol and to prove my math proficiency, I'm planning to do a GRE math subject test. However, there aren't any ETS centers in my country and I'll go for the home edition. I'm wondering though, if these exams will lack credibility in the eyes of the university admission judges. I know from reading on this sub that that home test is ruthless and that they're extremely strict. But I'm still wondering if the uni will see it that way.

I’m really struggling right now. My mom called me today about Thanksgiving and sounded super nervous, walking on eggshells. She mentioned that whenever they get together with my husband of 15 years (with 2 grandkids) that they feel he’s disengaged. They want him to try harder to connect with him. They have mentioned this a few times over the past few years. It hits me like a dagger each time because I’m reading between the lines that they don’t like him. My response to them is usually to downplay it and tell them that it’s his personality and not whether or not he likes them.
I say that because my spouse is hearing impaired and also a bit anxious/OCD and while he can be hard to connect with (he doesn’t sit still for long and even with hearing aids he misses things and get fatigued easily in conversation). This is something that I struggle with too in our relationship. He can be hard to pin down but when I do request his attention, I get what I need. It’s just not his natural way.
This issue isn’t going away and I’m just not sure what to do being in the middle. (1) Tell him about the conversation and ask him to be more engaged, (2) Tell my family that they’re overstepping, defend him and tell them to never bring this up again. (3) Something in the middle?
My parents are hurting me by bringing this up, but he’s also not trying hard enough. Help!

Say anything outside the pro-life lifescript and you will be silenced; this has happened to me multiple times. This is a huge barrier to normalizing assisted suicide -- how can we do that if we can't even discuss suicide from a nuanced point of view? How can we reduce suffering if we can't even speak about it? Let me know what you think about this topic.
