Disappointed in you guys

You can, apparently, be "disappointed of" some expected result, which can include the actions of some person. However, to me this sounds formal and somewhat archaic , and I would never use use it. As far as I know, "disappointed from " is not an idiomatic complement, although it may appear in an adjacent adverbial phrase: Here disappointedly means in a disappointed manner/tone of voice and this use is much more natural. This is only an intuition I have, but it seems that walk away is being used in a "linking-verb way", like the verb sound for example. They walked away disappointed. They sounded disappointed. Here is a very good way to use disappointedly: I am disappointed in you, son; I thought you could get better grades. I am diappointed in you; I never expected you to lie to me. When speaking of an event, I would use "by." I was disappointed by what happened to you. I was disappointed by my poor performance in the race. I was disappointed by the concert; it was boring. Disappointed with (object) - an object of neutral gender. E.g: I am disappointed with your service. Disappointed over - an incidence. Disappointed in/with - very similar but slightly different connotation. 'In' is more personal and conveys reflection on the individual. 'With' is more used for disappointment over an isolated incidence. Now, this leaves me wondering which one is correct. Is it disappointed by/in/at/with/on? For my context, my friend and I planned to meet up last week but for some unknown reason, he didn't show up. I then decided to send him a message that reads " I am so disappointed with you, we already planned this yet you didn't show up. I am really disappointed at what you did. I am very disappointed in you. They were disappointed in the outcome. In which situations should I use IN or AT or WITH ? Is there any difference in meaning? 2) disappointed by Jack. Jack does something once that lets her down, on one particular occasion. "I was disappointed by Jack last night". "I'm sure I'll be disappointed by Jack". 3) disappointed with Jack. It is a general feeling of disappointment, Jack has done a number of things that have left her feeling that way. 4) disappointed in Jack. How idiomatic is the phrase strongly disappointed? Would you use it? I was told it would be better to use e.g. bitterly dissapointed. Even collocation dictionary shows adjectives like: bitterly, deeply, desperately, extremely, greatly, hugely, really, sadly, sorely, terriby and very used with the word dissapointed. It doesn't show strongly though? In general in American English, people tend to use "disappointed in" with reference to a specific person or group of people. I am disappointed in his failure to get the job done on time. Whereas, again in American English, people tend to use "disappointed at" with reference to a situation. I was disappointed at not being able to join you. Disappointed is tricky: it can occur with any of several prepositions before the source of disappointment. Roughly: disappointed in someone: This suggests someone did something wrong or let you down. disappointed at: To me this suggests a hint of surprise (like surprised at). disappointed with/by: Fairly generic ways of saying something ...

I jokingly discussed a Gizamon (formerly Modoki Betamon) line for a hypothetical partner digi and this is what I came up with, dark evo included. Both lines are "Wikimon canon" (i.e. via v-pets or TCG, definitely not anime or even games).
I think her standard line is her figuring what she WANTS to be despite her flimsy Adult stage and her dark evo line is the frustration of not amounting to much and settling on what others wants her to be.

Since I was 10 years old, I have been friends with Chloe. Chloe and I did everything together and were inseparable all throughout school until we graduated. We did sports together, went to each others houses everyday, and were the best of friends. Chloe’s family is pretty big and she has 3 younger brothers and an older sister. Her older sister, Abby, would hang out with us sometimes since she was only two years older than Chloe and I. Her younger brothers were all still in elementary school when Chloe, Abby, and I were in high school. So, I felt like their family was my family. Fast forward to after school. Chloe and I graduated and went to different colleges. We still messaged and met up sometimes to hang out and catch up. This is how it was for the next 5 years. I got married to a wonderful man that I am super proud of.
I made a long post one day about how proud of him I was and how he works so hard at his job and that’s he’s the best blah blah blah. Well, my best friend’s brother, who is now I believe 17 or 18, commented on my post basically saying that’s my husband isn’t all that great. I was so upset by this that I did not hesitate to reply “ you can’t say anything seeing how you’ve been arrested several times for drunk driving.” In the last year he has been arrested 3 times for DWI and it was posted publicly on social media with his mugshot. I felt slightly bad that I commented that since his sister is my bff but mostly felt good since he said those things about my husband. The next day, my bff’s older sister, Abby, sent me a long message saying that she hated my guts now, that I was no longer welcomed in the family for what I said about her brother, that he’s been going through a hard time lately and I used that against him, that my family is trash and always has been. I messaged her back and forth saying that if she didn’t like what I said then he shouldn’t have gotten on my post and said what he said about my husband first.
A few days later, I called Chloe to hash this out and she said she didn’t want to get in the middle of it but that what I said was hurtful since her brother has been going through some stuff. I told her that it isn’t an excuse for drinking and driving though and that he could have killed someone by doing that stupid crap. I did tell her that it was petty of me to respond to him with that, but he shouldn’t have disrespected my husband on my post and that he was basically asking for it. Then I brought up what her sister messaged me and how the things she said about my family were messed up and not true. She just said again that she’s staying out of it and that her older sister is very protective of her brother.
Since then, I haven’t heard from Chloe.
Am I the AH for what I said to her brother? Did I lose my bff over a stupid thing?

The campaign:
Barovia lives under the oppression of the Devil Strahd. The mists that surround the valleys not only bring unwilling travelers from distant planes but also trap them in the cursed land. According to legend, the only way to escape is by killing Strahd von Zarovich...but would it really be enough to break the curse? There's only one way to find out...
Curse of Strahd - Extended edition
This is a gothic horror adventure focused on roleplay, however, with lots of dangerous combats and encounters. Think of it as a 'less quantity more quality' equation, there are fewer fights than in the regular a-monster-on-every-corner dungeon but they are more meaningful and exciting.
Every GM likes to tweak their modules to better suit their tastes and the players', in my case I decided to create this extended edition inspired by the incredible expanded universe that the community of Curse of Strahd GMs (mostly on Reddit) created. That's why the adventure goes up to level 16th instead of the regular 10th.
However, I took care to NOT change the adventure to the point of becoming something else, my changes come more from the point of building upon than replacing things. After all, if someone agreed to play Curse of Strahd, they deserve to play Curse of Strahd right?!
+ Extra Content: House of Lament (1 extra level + magic items)
Adapted to higher-level characters and incorporated within the lore of the campaign, the players will experience (and hopefully overcome) the horrors of The House of Lament.
Using their strength, courage, and wits (including an interactive spiritual board to contact the spirits) the character will be able to solve the mysteries of the haunted mansion and free the tormented souls...or die trying and get trapped along with all the others before them.

Hopefully your future DM! My name is Rafael (you can call me Raph) and I'm an English teacheProfessional GM from Brazil with +20 years of experience with the hobby.
In an RPG we are players, writers, actors, and the audience, all at the same time! Which for me is just fantastic, that's why I love this hobby so much!
As a GM, I want to forge together with the players a great story (emphasis on the word 'together' because I take players' agency very seriously, I think it's essential for a good RPG). So expect a great deal of agency and consequences to the characters' choices.
Playstyle:
- Focus on RP without leaving the G behind, less in quantity but more significant and dangerous combats.
- Only house rules previously approved by the players.
- I Like to RP with voices and acting (sometimes even using voice modulators), but I don't require it from the players. I encourage everyone to RP the way they feel more comfortable.
- I try to enhance the players' experience with music, images, and visual effects.
