I’ve been looking at the Air 2 Pros (and Vitures) and was curious if anyone here has had experience with the prescription lens inserts for the air 2. My eyes are bad enough that any built in correction won’t work on any AR glasses on the market right now.
Was the procurement process easy?
Did they work well?
Were you able to use one of the European lens companies?

Hi, I bought a native water purifier from Urban Company costing INR 14K. Within a day of receiving I raised a request to their customer support that I want to return the product. The product is still packed. The reason for return is I no longer need the product. They are straight away denying my request and saying they do not have a policy to return the product and refund the amount. This policy is not mentioned on their product page. Their customer support is giving me advice to keep the product as it is not their problem.
Is this something acceptable for a reputed company like Urban Company. It is good amount I have paid and I can not just waste the money on something which I don't need. On top of it their customer support team is extremely rude and not at all helpful in giving me any kind of resolution. Is it something I can take to consumer court to get my refund?

This issue randomly started on my son’s laptop. The bottom third is cutoff/ compressed in the band. Not sure where to start, feels like potentially a HW issue. Switching resolutions doesn’t help. But dropping the display to 60hz does make it look better. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

Hello all, I've been doing 1099 and other side work for a while now part time separate of my job at the local hospital. I was asked by a GC I know to do some demo, removal, forming, and pouring of a house extension as most of the summer help has left and I have all the tools needed. I've never quoted anything like this before so any advice is helpful! It's a unique one. I'm happy to do any and all math and I'm by no means expecting others to do my quoted for me. Only looking for advice on ballpark guestimations or suggestions so i dont risk cheating the customer or myself. Thank you all!
Some info on it. If I think of anything or anyone asks for additional info I'll also put it here.
It's a building extension 20ft x 20ft. It is being expanded into an existing concrete pad. Footers for said concrete pad are 19" thick, 1 foot wide. Regular of the pad is 8" thick. 3 of the 4 sides are directly in the concrete pad, with 1 being all dirt excavation. 1 foot wide trench was cut and excavated through the pad for the 2l3 sides of the expansion. 1 side butt's up against a fence that has a 20" deep footer for it along with the inside half of the trench being the footer for the concrete pad.
2 guys, 200 man hour each across 2 weeks. Working 12 of the last 14 days.
No heavy equipment access, barely a track wide enough for wheel barrows. In city limit, 2 hour parking strictly enforced. Nearest restrooms were 5 blocks away. All work was done in below 30°F weather in the shade, snow on multiple days.
During demo and removal, it was 2 guys running 2 demo saws and 2 jack hammers. Demoed and removed 3.5 tones of concrete, hand loaded into wheel barrows and carted out into a dump trailer 500 ft away. Free disposal through local contacts. 3 days to complete.
During excavation. Excavated 34" deep trench, under concrete was 2" of gravel and then fill dirt that was primarily bricks and rock. We also had to undercut the existing foundation by 2" for some required water proofing and foam. Excavated 5.5 tonnes. Free disposal at same location.
Forming was 3k in materials as lumber and everything else is extremely expensive where I live (downfall of rural life). A sheet of 3/4" ply is 83$ and it's $32 for a carbide bit for example. Engineer also called for 21 sticks worth of #5 rebar. It was insane but a great workout. Even the inspector was like Jesus.
Pouring is 6.5 yards of concrete for the footer and stem wall, $280/yd, plus we have to get a pump truck which is another 1400. It's also snowy and cold so concrete blankets and heaters are used
