2024.11.25 19:46 Next-Emu4301 Friendship feel impossible for someone like me
I never really had a lot of friends in high school because of social anxiety and with the pandemic, it only worsened it. I lost a good chunk of friends when I came back senior year and its been a struggle ever since to make new friendships.
I was so optimistic of making new friends in college but I am so socially anxious that I felt as though anybody who seemed interested in being my friend was instantly put off by my awkwardness so those connections never went anywhere. I even tried going to a club but felt so isolated that everyone knew eachother and didnt know how to even talk to people or get them to like me.
I was so determined after I transferred colleges to really try getting out of my comfort zone that I tried initiating conversations with people, asking questions to others in class, and joining clubs but nothing worked!! I met people of course but nothing blossomed from it and they felt very very surface level with little connection. The constant failure of trying to make friends has been increasingly weighing on me and I feel like there's something wrong with me that makes me feel like everyone doesn't or won't want to be my friend. It feels like everyone knows that I am different from them or something and that I'm not worth trying to get to know. Its gotten to the point where I feel so negative about myself and I really try not to be so self loathing but just constantly seeing people at college having friends makes me feel horrible about myself.
What's worse is that I only have a year left of college before I graduate and I already feel hopeless of finding a friend before then. Even online seems like a challenge for someone like me. The thought of all my attempts at trying to have a real friendship and failing had made me really depressed and I feel like college is my last shot of even having a friendship. I just wanted to get that off my chest, I just feel so bad about myself.

The old system had a bad evap coil in the attic air handler, so the handler needed replacement. We opted for a new system with a new condenser unit outside as well. This new system is the new refrigerant and gets a tax credit this year.
That being said, the owner of the company said he is a Bryant dealer and only sells Bryant systems.
The installers just left and there is a carrier handler up in the attic (all scratched up cause they didn't remove the springs for the attic stairs), and a Bryant condenser unit outside with some crushed fins behind the grate, a dented access panel, and the compressor in the venter is leaning to the right about 20° from upright (is that normal?).
Shouldn't a brand new system match and not have so much dings and dents?

2024.11.25 19:46 TaurusMoaner Onkyo HTX22 5.1 replacement
Looking for a bit of help / advice / options please.
I'm replacing my old Onkyo setup. It's long overdue.
I was initially looking at the Denon X1800H with Wharfedale DX-2's.
The 5.1 system I can accommodate but I'm too tight on space for the receiver (would have been sitting on an open shelf in my TV unit).
If I want to go separates rather than a soundbar setup, are there any current Atmos all in one receiver / subwoofer combo's in the same style as the Onkyo box?
I've had a look and haven't come across anything.
My budget for the Denon / Wharfedale setup was ÂŁ650.00. I don't want to exceed budget, if possible.
If there's nothing currently available, any recommendations for an Atmos 5.1 soundbar / subwoofer setup?
Room size is approx 5.5m x 3.5m

As an autistic individual with experience in IT (including certifications and practical knowledge in Microsoft 365, VMware, and support roles), I've encountered significant barriers in finding meaningful work due to traditional interview processes. Despite my skills and experience, the standard hiring processes don't accommodate people like me, which makes it incredibly difficult to progress in my career.
This issue is even more pressing for neurodiverse individuals, like myself, who often have the skills but can't get through the interview process, which is designed for neurotypical candidates. The challenges faced in interviews, the lack of flexibility, and the exclusion from remote work opportunities are just a few of the obstacles preventing neurodiverse individuals from thriving in their careers.
That's why I have created a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for a project aimed at promoting inclusive hiring practices and creating accessible work trials for neurodiverse individuals. Instead of relying solely on interviews, we want to offer work trials that give individuals a fair chance to showcase their abilities in a real-world environment.
