 | My experience with this product is extremely negative. The installation and setup were not flawless, requiring manual updates before use. Afterward, there were issues with the nodes, which also needed to be manually updated after being set to controller mode. Subsequently, everything had to be reverted to the original setup. The speed is nowhere near what is advertised, and the performance is poor in relation to the coverage area around and from the nodes. I cannot recommend this product in any way, nor the Predator T7. If you use the 6GHz band, you'll face even greater coverage issues. There is minimal logging available, and there are numerous errors in the software visible in the little information provided. Regarding the app, it often fails. It doesn't always indicate when nodes drop out, and there's a 50/50 chance of receiving a notification if a node does go offline. Firmware updates cannot be rolled back, so if the product is damaged, you won't be able to do anything about it. There's no page providing information about what the firmware updates include. There's also no information from the manufacturer about when the next version will be released or what changes it will include. The security solution you can enable within the controller cannot be updated. There’s no option to manually update the signature file it uses, meaning it will only be secure for a short period until new threats emerge. QoS offers no improvements. Network traffic performance is poor. The ping over the network, even when wired, is at least 3ms response time, even with Cat6A cables and a fiber WAN. Backhaul with Ethernet (Cat6A) also provides no improvement. However, if you connect directly to the nodes with cables, you get slightly better speeds. So if you’re interested in having loads of nodes and cables everywhere for your devices, go ahead—otherwise, avoid this product! This product is far from deserving 4 or 5 stars. It should be rated 1 star and removed from the market. Customers are being misled, and I would have returned mine if the return period hadn't expired. The attached image is using a WIFI 7 Laptop, that is confirmed to run 1Gbit on another network. So I did a full clean and water change of our hot tub one week ago — the full meal deal: A big hit of chlorine then ahh-some in the pipes, full drain and filter change, washed the shell top-to-bottom with vinegar solution, etc. etc. etc.
Then I refilled and the did the chemicals. Then in the six days since, I've tested the water twice a day and the total/free chlorine levels have been at "normal" or just above. Never once has it even dipped a tiny bit into the "maaaaaybe just add a little more" zone.
And yet, my sister (who uses it once a day for about 40 minutes) got a rash. The rash, like previous ones she's gotten from our hot tub, is right where the water line is (neck and shoulders).
Any ideas what's going on here, especially given:
- The water is only one week old.
- I've kept on top of the chlorine levels twice a day.
- The water looks very clean.

2024.11.25 17:35 ilovegoogle33 Need some help with Monitor and MQTT Broker in Home Assistant
I’m getting an error that I can’t connect to the MQTT broker. I can’t find anybody else struggling. My mqtt_preferences are correct (I'm assuming), my usernames and passwords everywhere match, I can ping my home assistant instance from the pi that I’m running monitor on. I published from the pi and then opened another shell and subscribed to the topic and can see the message. I just can't get the pi to see the MQTT broker itself. Any ideas?
I also did a full removal of monitor and installed it again, along with removing and reinstalling the Mosquitto Broker add-on and the MQTT integration as well.
