2024.11.25 19:50 Lordofthefluffs Getting my baby to fall asleep on his own
My baby is about to hit 9 months. He slept amazing until the 4 month sleep regression and has just got worse and worse ever since. He used to wake 1-2 times a night until that point. Now he's waking at best every hour or at worst every 20-30 mins. He transitioned himself to less naps without my help at each stage. I follow his lead. He's currently doing 2 naps absolutely fine. I've tried changing the lengths of the naps and when they are many times to see if it helps his night sleep but at the moment he's doing about 1.5 hours for the first nap and then 1 hour for the second. We generally do the 2/3/4 or 2/3/3 for wake windows. I don't want to do any kind of cry it out method. But I would like to see if I can get him to fall asleep independently. Since 4 months he has basically only been able to get to sleep if I rock him in a very specific way or breastfed to sleep. I have read a few things online and as he's in his own room I'm thinking I could put his cot mattress on the floor, feed him to sleep (as I know this works cause we bed share sometimes to get longer sleep) and then he's waking up in the same place he fell asleep and may sleep longer. Then once he's falling asleep on his own I can put the mattress back in his cot and see if it still does the trick.
I'm at a loss but I'm desperate for some sleep as I'm going back to work soon, but we also have events coming up where we would have to leave him with our parents and I can't leave him if he's still waking up to 10 times a night.
Any advice would be amazing.

2024.11.25 19:50 Hailey4874 Consistent double P-wave in lead 3 on personal 6-lead EKG?
not looking for medical advice, just opinions on what this could be/ if it's even significant at all! This has NOT been reviewed/ interpreted by any medical professional. I recently bought a Kardia Mobile 6L EKG because I have been having some cardiac issues (palpitations with loss of vision at rest, continuous palpitations with rapid heart beat up to the 140s and my entire body shaking, etc). I just finished wearing a holter monitor for a month as well, because my cardiologist wanted to see if we could catch anything. The only known cardiac issue that I have is POTS. Mom had a SCAD when she was 40 so I take my cardiac health pretty seriously. lam a 23 y/o F. I took literally 10 EKGs on here in a row and even switched between resting it on my knee and my ankle and in every single one I have this weird consistent double P wave in lead 3. The device only detects if you are in afib and does not measure anything so it would not tell me if this was abnormal or not. Attached are a couple of screenshots from various EKGs I took today. I am a (new-ish) ICU nurse so l found this interesting and wanted to know what you people would have to say! submitted by Hailey4874 to askCardiology [link] [comments] |

2024.11.25 19:50 gotthelife4u Tailoring SLC Jacket Arms
I took advantage of the recent fall sale and picked up an XL Black SLC Jacket and I have a question about tailoring. The arms a long and I know I need to break in the coat some more but has anyone had good or bad experiences getting waxed tin cloth tailored? Other than that, I love the jacket and the smell of crayons when I wear it lol.

2024.11.25 19:50 AdvertisingStreet896 BCMA test in an hour
Hey all -
Just patting myself on the back for working hard to get to this point. I have a weird relationship with my employer and so I'm not only paying for the cert myself I have not notified anyone I am taking it, as I see the main professional benefit being a resume boost for my next job, and know that in my current situation it's essentially meaningless from an increased pay or respect standpoint.
Whether or not I pass being an arborist has been an important development in my life. It gave me a path towards a livable income despite dropping out of college. It taught me that I love the natural sciences, and, importantly, being an arborist led me to ecology and a massive appreciation for the natural world and what I want from the cities I live in.
This is a tough industry. All industries are tough, but not all industries are mine. This is a tough industry. It's often thankless, to do the right thing is often far more complicated and costly than doing the easy thing (I hesitate to use the word "wrong," you all will get what I mean), and the work is grueling. Most of the respect that comes with our job comes from other industry professionals who know how demanding the work is.
There are not many times we get to enjoy a strong sense of social solidarity. At this moment, as I strive against my own dumbassery, feelings of incompetence (real or imagined) in a world with increasing uncertainty, from the depths of that struggle to survive and find meaning, I tip my hats to the other tree loving arborists out there, and also to those who don't give a flying fk about trees but have found themselves in this industry.
Wish me luck.

2024.11.25 19:49 divergentspliff Help for my son
Hello! I am raising a son (10) whose father is half Lumbee. That makes my son a quarter Lumbee. His biological father is not a part of his life at this time. Are there books or activities I can share with him, for him to learn more about his heritage? Any information about enrolling him in the tribe would also be appreciated.

2024.11.25 19:49 hennyis1 No matter what pit level, clear time is always roughly 2 mins :/ (SB QV)
Howdy!
I'm running a SB quill volley build but whether I run pit 70 or 110 (or anything in between), I can't ever seem to get my time under 2 minutes. I've followed the various SB speedfarm guides out there and have all the right gear, aspects, affixes, and most of the required MW crits, but I can't seem to figure it out. I guess I just need to get gud, eh?
Open to any tip/comments/thoughts! Thanks!

2024.11.25 19:49 Remarkable-Use-9557 Anyone know what these are?
Unsure if these are warts or some form of follicle irritation, anyone got any ideas? They're raised, feel like very small bumps, they're also painful and it feels like burning when I'm going about my day to day. Seeing my GP tomorrow, but thought I might get an idea of what they are on here. Of note: 1) the burning sensation goes away with sudocrem/hydrocortisone 2) I have a strain of HPV already (hence the assumption of warts, I'm so grateful to my ex gf) had a bout of genital warts when I was 15, had one on my finger a couple years later and then nothing else until these, which are nothing like I've seen before. 3) I'm generally fit and healthy besides being a bit overweight and high blood pressure from mental health medication (which is now under control) 4) I've just had a baby, so the over tiredness may have made my immune system less effective (I'm the man) Any advise would be appreciated :) submitted by Remarkable-Use-9557 to Warts [link] [comments] |
