2024.11.25 18:01 loyewl First time playing with a band (gig) hesitation.
My friend invited me to a gig with his rock band but don't know if I should accept it or not. I am not really confident in my playing and the thought of playing Infront of people gives me chills.
For the context I'm only playing trombone for 1 and a half year in a college marching band. And also, I actually have jammed with his band before 2x during the summer. They are great but I feel out of place since I'm the only blowing in the band and I am not familiar with the band stuff.
I'm really glad to have this kind of opportunity, like playing with a band stuff is so cool but I feel like I'm not great enough to play for them and it's frustrating. Maybe finding some other blowing's to accompany me might help? but dang I'm really being hard to myself huh. Any advice?

I was thinking about how Billy told Eddie to cover up his arms because they were distracting him, something along those lines. I could totally be overthinking this, but that line just seemed intentional to me. Respectfully, the line was pretty corny and felt like it was put in there for a reason. I feel like it may be foreshadowing Eddie being Hulkling in the future. Saying someone has hulk arms is pretty common. The name Eddie, the interview that Miles gave the other day, and the weird excuse they came up with for Eddie’s choice of name being so similar to Teddy? I really feel (and hope) that they are trying to throw us off their tracks and that Eddie will be revealed as Hulkling in a future project. I also found that he was entirely too chill when Billy was confessing that he has strange abilities and took him on that goose chase to meet Bohnerific69. I think he has some strange abilities of his own 🤔
All I’m saying is, Marvel really doesn’t seem to put clues like this in for no reason, and they are also bad liars 😂

Had them removed last year. My entire life I’ve been suffering with moderate to severe abdominal pain. I’ve had imaging done, I’ve talked to every OB I can, and it’s been over 7 years with no answers. These just look kind of wonky to me. At this point I’m tired of being told to take some ibuprofen and suck it up.

Had my follow up with my doc today. He removed the jp drain, and deflated me. Everything was fine until he went to deflate me. That was some serious pain, the pump was right behind the stitches so it felt like he was pressing right on the stitches. Aside from that everything is cool, I’m realizing the dull ache I was feeling was likely from being inflated for so long. As soon as I was able to catch myself after being deflated I recognized there was very little feeling in the area, no real aches or pain, aside from the residual soreness from being deflated. Doc was surprised by the lack of bruising, said that everything seems to be healing really well, wants me to follow up in 2 weeks.
