2024.11.25 19:50 Fuzzynumbskull I dumped someone today
Not sure why I'm positing but figured it might help me process. TLDR: someone asked me out, didn't put much/any effort in and hung out with their family, so I dumped them.
So this guy I worked with had asked me out a few months ago. I said sure but I had some things I could not immediately table that we're absorbing all my free time. He was busy with work so we let it go for a while.
About a month later I wrapped everything up and let him know. He was travelling for work for a few weeks more but I was under the impression that we would finally go out when he got back. Long story short, when he returned he had made plans to spend his free time with family (sister, nieces, nephews, brother in law, mom) the entire first weekend.
I was fairly disappointed and politely told him that I didn't think it was good if we continue talking if it wasn't a priority, basically poop or get off the pot. A friend of mine recommended he might be playing tit for tat because I couldn't immediately make time but I don't think this was the case. He apologized and made a big to do which ended up on a date after work the next week, had a beer a few days later. I got the feeling interacting with him that his family was monopolizing his time, work was demanding and that he wasn't good setting boundaries with either. Honestly I didn't know him well and was just trying to figure out if I should even bother.
Shortly after he went on another trip and the same thing happened again on his return. Claimed he wanted to see me but his family got all his free time. If it was his own children or some sort of like filling in for a non-existent parent, I would understand but it wasn't. He claimed this was not normal, but I have two occasions of this occurring now.
I ended the attempt at a relationship today and have very mixed feelings. Part of me says "better to be done and not have to deal with it" and then the devil advocate tells me "you should have been more patient."
What do you guys and gals think?

About me: 4th year at USF med school, former Kaplan tutor, involved in interview process at USF's med school, and been doing teaching/mentoring in various forms over the years.
I can provide help with planning for :
application
guidance through the process for any stage, whether just started college or about to finish
MCAT tutoring/MCAT planning
writing or editing applications
discussing extracurriculars
The only caveat is I probably can't provide any students currently applying this cycle to USF's med school with current cycle interviews/application as it's a conflict of interest, but preparing for any future cycle I'm comfortable with.
To be clear this is for paid advising/tutoring but if you have specific circumstances I'm also happy to provide free advice in free-er moments. Rates are variable but not going to be over 30/hr and willing to work with you.

I had zero issues with my old setup, and I have a quality PSU (EVGA 1000W)
Anything I can do to get rid of this? Seems to go away under heavy load, but that may just be fans downing it out. Happens at stock Bios settings and expo ram + CPU PBO.

Hey everyone. I have a client that is based in Brooklyn while I'm from Philippines. Based on the post that I've read in from a fb group: if I'm the one that would be posting the videos in my client's Tiktok account, it would only be shown on my location and not in US (unless it goes viral).
They also said that most VPNs don't work on Tiktok. I'm not sure if it would be the same outcome if I schedule the videos through a scheduling platform like Metricool. I can't ask my client to do the postings since she is busy with handling her business.
What are your thoughts on this? Is this true? If yes, is there any workaround for this situation?

2024.11.25 19:50 Triton_7 Flares disappearing in Antarctica level in TR3?
I noticed that all the flares in my inventory disappeared sometime during the Antarctica level in TR3. I started the level with about 250 in my inventory and when I reached RX-Tech Mines, they all disappeared. I'm pretty sure I didn't use all of them. I think they disappeared around the time I got the third secret. This is the second time this happens to me. Did anyone else experience this? Is this a known bug? I'm playing on the PC.
