2024.11.25 19:50 Cr1stian98 What is the best way to get rid of a mechanically totaled car?

I have daily driven my Acura tI for about a year now, and I now need to get rid of it because it has too many issues. It runs and drives and the ac works, but The transmission is going out, the timing belt needs to be replaced, there is an oil leak, a tire blew out and there's now some front end damage from that and one of the quarter panels had a bondo job from an accident by the previous owner. This was my first car so l wasn't smart and handed the seller the cash without doing a pre purchase inspection, and now I regret this purchase because I even have it posted if Facebook marketplace for $1500 and no one wants to buy it, maybe some low ballers giving me rediculous offers. What should I do at this point to get the most money out of this money pit so that I can make the down payment on my next car?

Hey liebe PCBaumeister-Community,
ich bin aktuell auf der Suche nach einem Upgrade im Bereich CPU und GPU.
Zunächst einmal mein aktuelles Setup:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Mainboard: Asus PRIME B350-PLUS
RAM: 2x G. Skill 8 GB DDR4
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB
Da sich AAA-Spiele mittlerweile gar nicht mehr spielen lassen und ich selbst in CS 2 nur noch mit 120 FPS spielen kann, wird es endlich Zeit für ein Upgrade.
Ich hab mich bereits in einigen anderen Foren nach ähnlichen Fällen umgeschaut und festgestellt, dass ein Wechsel von CPU und GPU fällig sind.
Bei Mindfactory habe ich als CPU, passend zu meinem AM4 - Sockel den AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (ca. 80€) gefunden.
Als GPU wurde in mehreren Foren die RX 6600 empfohlen. Die habe ich bei Kleinanzeigen für 150€ gefunden.
Das Upgrade würde in mein Budget von ca. 200-250€ passen.
Macht das Upgrade Sinn?

2024.11.25 19:50 Dry-Use-272 Mardi Gras parade best random act of kindness I’ve ever seen

This happened just before Covid. My husband and I were in a college town to watch a Mardi Gras parade. There were a couple of college age girls next to us, let’s just say they’re dressed for the occasion, and a boy about 10 with his mom in front of the girls. The kid was very excited and obviously intent on collecting some beads. The parade starts, beads are flying through the air, and the kid is having no luck catching any. The college girls notice this, and they start flashing the floats for beads and of course they get lots of attention and beads. The girls start dropping all the beads around the kids neck. He looks up at them in shock, but absolutely thrilled. He kept looking back at the girls, then at his mom, like “is this really happening”? Mom is laughing, the girls are laughing, and the kid walks away with probably 100 bead necklaces. It was a sweet and funny moment and I hope the kid shared all those beads with his friends.

Pic of my sleepy boy for attention.
I’ve tried everything I know of to try and desensitize him to it but it’s becoming a problem when I take him out and he pulls me to go back inside due to one loud noise. He’s my perfect baby and he’s still a puppy (9 months) so I get that he’s still learning about the world but I would so love some advice if anyone has any! Thanks!

I received an email on the 20th of November that I was shortlisted for a position I applied for and I'm required to send some documents and confirm the test taking place on 26th November (tomorrow). I have uploaded the documents immediately and confirmed my attendance, however I haven't received an email ever since both from recruiter and testing platform.
Is it possible that I receive the email tomorrow just before the test? I was really excited about this opportunity, and now I dont know what to do :(

Hey there;
I’m a member of an adult amateur Korfball Team. For anyone unfamiliar with Korfball it is a mixed sex sport and normally requires 4 men and 4 women to make a legal squad.
My team have been getting by so far with only 4 women for the past few months whilst we can field 4 men with several subs to spare. This leaves us in a position where our female teammates are constantly playing full matches with no sub options and if any of them get sick or injured we would have to forfeit matches.
Does anyone have any general recruitment tips that might help? (the more the merrier always regardless of sex) If anyone has any tips for recruiting women especially that would be appreciated!
