It's true what they say, nothing is cheap in Iceland but it is possible to do it on a budget and still have an amazing experience!
Here is the breakdown for 7 days, 6 nights with four adults.
We rented an SUV for the duration of our stay, driving over 1700 km! We were 100% self toured and did not pay for any tours. A lot of research was required to plan for this. It's important to note that we didn't purchase additional insurance but had coverage through a credit card. Be mindful of the bag capacity of your rental!
We stayed in a different accommodation each night with the exception of our first and last night's in Reykjavik. Night 1: CityHub Reykjavik - microwave, fridge available Night 2: Old Cottage Reynivellir II (near Diamond Beach) - full kitchen Night 3: The Barn (in Vik) - full kitchen Night 4: Expedia Hótel Laugarvatn (along the Golden Circle) - microwave available Night 5: Grundarfjördur Hostel - full kitchen Night 6: CityHub Reykjavik
We splurged and went to The Blue Lagoon. This was our biggest expense.
We ate out only one night and went to one pub for a single drink (may have had more if they weren't sooo expensive!). We took some snacks and basic meals with us from home (mac&cheese, noodles soups). Our first day we went to Costco and got a big pack of Croissants and a rotisserie chicken, which lasted us a good while!

Hi all I’m new to the community because I’ve just come to terms with my drinking problem. I didn’t know that I had one because I didn’t drink every day, don’t need it, but when I do drink I often black out and act completely out of character. I just had a baby 3 months ago so I was sober for 10 months due to the pregnancy and I wish I had just never started drinking again but here I am realizing that this is a problem and starting my sobriety journey. I’m feeling tremendous guilt about things I’ve done while drunk and I’m just so embarrassed and ashamed. Will it get better?

Hey everyone, I am having a technical issue with fellen empire ships when they are on screen, I have a suspission that it has to do with their exust particles, becuase when I have the game paused and go into a system with fallen empire ships there are no exust particles and the the game runs smoothly but when i press play they apear and the fps drops from 120 down to 2-4. I also play on a mac, and it could be an issue with how the game is written for the operating system. are there any mods that flat out remove the exust particles for ships in the game? Hi, throwaway account here. I’ve seen a lot of posts on here about male therapists being predator-like and crossing boundaries with clients. As someone who is currently dealing with transference towards my therapist (we’re both women and queer) I’ve debated on transitioning to a male therapist because of it, but reading a lot of posts on here about male therapists has freaked me out and makes me think by default I cannot trust a male therapist even if I do present as queer. Especially because I would be transitioning to a male therapist to talk about my previous therapeutic relationship which worries me. I’m not sure if I’m generalizing or overreacting I just truthfully have not seen a lot of good posts about male therapists in here and it seems damaging to some of the clients that are women.
