I can't really believe I'm writing this, because I'm rather ashamed of how I feel.
I don't know if it's worth detailing the relationship I had with this woman, because I would assume from a logical perspective that this is merely a reflection of myself and not her or the connection we shared.
I've always been a logical person, I had never felt anything close to love before I met her at the age of 25, I had absolutely no idea that I could ever feel that strongly or that connected to someone. And even though I know that heartbreak is a universal experience, somehow I can't comprehend the idea that going through this degree of suffering is a common thing. I'm not sure I'm equipped to deal with it, I don't know how anyone could.
I have tried to get over her, I moved country.I made a whole life for myself filled with wonderful amazing people, I've had happy memories, I've travelled the world. Not one thing was better than spending time with her. Not one thing was better than laughing with her. I have not developed romantic feelings for anyone else, nothing even close. It's not that I'm incapable of forming close friendships anymore, or that I'm not capable of connection because of some damage to my attachment. I can't separate the concept of romantic love from her, it started with her, it belongs to her. That's how it feels.
I feel completely undone as a person. She had everything I could ever want, she was like me in so many ways that everything I loved before her is now bound up in her memory. I can't enjoy anything without thinking of her. The pain is getting too much. It always comes back.
I don't want to live with this anymore, it's not worth it for me. There's still this part of me that desperately wants someone to tell me what to do, but I'm not if there is a solution to this. I've been in therapy for a year but it hasn't helped even though my therapist is great at his job. He's the only therapist I've ever been able to open up to.

Hey all, I’m trying to upgrade my car to a dodge charger (hopefully scatpack wb) I don’t care if it’s lightly used or not, but now that Dodge is making their cars electric (morons) should I be careful on spending too much on my purchase?
Should I expect to pay over 60k? Or are they mainly worth around 50-45?
Any info would help since I’m not too educated on this stuff. (I live in southern California idk if that’ll affect anything)

As with most things, the opinions expressed in this post are my own. Consider this as just one data point, and not as a guide to your career.
I've been working in the Data/AI space for 5 years now and I've seen hundreds of starry eyed people wanting to work in A.I. because they want to work with the latest and coolest cutting edge technology. But I want to share with you a few reasons why A.I. is not a good career choice.
- A.I. positions could end up like the "data scientist" position. Looking at the history of the data scientist position, in 2010-2020, the hype around data science made it so that millions of people flocked to that position. Companies eventually realized that most them actually didn't need data science, and the impact of the position didn't always help them profit. The demand of the job has plummeted in recent years, leaving millions of aspiring data scientists unemployed or needing to pursue a different career.
- A.I. positions will be less than .0001% of tech engineering jobs. In the next few decades, the demand for software and data engineering roles will be much more needed at most companies that A.I. roles. Only a small group companies will a be pursuing A.I. initiatives, while the majority of companies will still need software and data engineers. But because 90% of tech news is A.I. related, there will be a massive influx of people trying to enter the space.
- The barriers to entry are huge. To pursue a career in A.I. and machine learning. A person's understanding of statistics and software engineering need to be extremely high. To get to that level of knowledge requires much more dedication and studying than most people imagine. Becoming a decent software engineer or data professional is already difficult for the average person.

Also have a ton of Wyoming ranch horse footage from the last job with them, headed to South Africa and France next. Might tack on Patagonia just because it’s close to where I’ll be for Antartica. I’m thinking between lexapro, Prozac or trintellix. But the potential nausea on trintellix makes me nervous, Prozac can be a bit activating though I was on it before, and lexapro can potentially give you lethargy which makes me cautious because I already am lethargic

I used the mobile app to select and upload the model for printing, ran it on the default precision setting which had the nozzle temp at 190 and the bed at 60. 2024.11.25 21:30 EmptyStrings AAC apps with Personal Voice
My MIL was diagnosed with ALS earlier this year. She is 62 and unfortunately it seems to be fast progressing. She is now bed-bound (very little movement in her legs), she's about to get a feeding tube, and her voice is pretty severely affected.
We live across the country and we were just able to visit for the first time (we had a baby this summer right after they told us about the diagnosis). We are trying to help support them however we can but it's tough since we aren't there to interact with the doctors in person. My FIL is her main caregiver.
I want to get her set up with an AAC app but not sure where to start. She already has an ipad mini. I'm not sure if it's too late to get the Personal Voice on the iPad working. She can still talk some but it takes a lot of effort and she can pretty much just say a few words at a time, and the consonants aren't that clear. So I am hoping she will be able to complete the recordings over a few days and it works.
But what do we do after that? Which apps do we use it with? She can still use her hands okay. Typing on the phone is hard but she plays mobile games still so she could use an AAC I think. I've looked into it some but some of them are really expensive and don't have trials so it's hard to know if they'd work.
As a side note I have seen here on Reddit that the ALS organization could help. But I'm not sure how they get plugged into that. I asked FIL and he said they have monthly local meetings but he hasn't been to one yet.
Thank you for any advice. This disease sucks so much. Our son is her first grandchild and she is such a grandmotherly person. It's devastating that all our dreams of summers at grandma's house, first Disney trip, seeing her with our future kids will not come to pass. I am thankful she was able to hold our little one next to her in her hospital bed and he just learned how to belly laugh while we were visiting them. Small mercies.
