2024.11.25 21:29 Minimum_Promise6463 Annoying stuttering in every game after 15-20 minutes playing
Just like the title said, every game i play starts to get some massive stuttering after a while playing or afk time. I've been experiencing this in Resident Evil 4 Remake and Red Dead Redemption 2 mainly, games i've played for a long time (probably about 1 year) without this issue, both installed in an HDD. Recently it started to happen so i bought a second SSD and moved them there, and while the loading time drastically dropped, the stuttering persists. So i tried reinstalling windows and the problem just won't go away. I already scanned my pc for malware and added an exception to my game folders in windows defender, didn't work. So i started playing RE4 Remake again and noticed my windows SSD usage spiking from 0 to 50, sometimes from 0 to 80 or 99 on stronger stutters, while the gaming SSD usage remains on 0 to 5 or 10 mostly. So i alt+tabbed and took a screenshot of my task manager window. It looked like this:

DIsk 1 is my 120GB SSD in which Windows 10 is installed and Disk 2 is the other one with the games. DIsk 0 is the HDD. This problem started happening shotly after an nvidia update, but i rolled back the drivers and nothing changed. Already checked the control panel and there's nothing unusual there, tried many different configurations for different games, nothing worked.
My specs are:
A320 R4.0 HD
Ryzen 5 4600G
RTX 4060 8GB
16GB RAM

I had an interview today, and the interviewer was Indian. (I work somewhere in middle east). I was given a task for a UI development role, but no proper guidelines were provided regarding the technologies to use. The recruiter only sent screenshots of the UI that I needed to work on. Initially, they mentioned they wanted someone with experience in basic HTML/CSS/JS, as discussed during the call with the recruiter and the hiring team. I do have knowledge of React.js, but most of the projects I’ve worked on were web-based, and I mentioned this in the interview.
However, the screenshot provided is for a mobile app. How would you approach this? Could they be testing me because I mentioned that I’ve only worked on web-based projects before? The timeline is only 12 hours to learn a new stack. Huhu
Note: The recruiter sent the test project at the end of the day, so I probably won’t get a response for clarification until tomorrow, and the deadline is at 5 PM

To start I’m playing on mobile, I have 10 coasters that are all different types and all 7.00 and above excitement and also above the length requirement. 3 or 4 of them are prebuilt that fit the specs. Two of them I modified in ride builder from pre builds to be the correct length. It’s not showing that I beat the objective and I’m just wondering if anyone has any idea why? Is it because I use pre built ones?

 | Does anybody have any experience with having a book submitted to have restoration removal and it was actually accepted by CGC? I sent in a green lantern 9 (1961) because of a small piece of tape on it, my thought was that the grade would be lowered because of it being there so might as well pay to have it removed and get the higher grade. CGC told me it was rejected because “it wasn’t safe to remove it” and then I get the comic back and they put the actual reason on the sticker saying it’s “too much to remove”… it’s literally .25”x 1” in total. 2024.11.25 21:29 Tanstaf1 Black Friday advice for CIV VII experience improvement
Currently I have 3 PCs able to play Civ VII, but the question is how well. Do I need to spend limited bucks for a good experience? I only play turn based strategy games. I don't care if I see, or don't see fish swimming in front of my trireme and in any case I don't have, nor plan to get a 4k monitor.
The 3 are:
1) Razer 14 2021: Rizen 5900HX; 16 GB DDR4-3200 soldered; nVidia RTX 3080 8 GB GDDR6
2) Mini-PC: Ryzen 9 7940HS 64 GB DDR5-5600 w/ intergraded Radeon 780M
3) ASRock B365M Pro4 Desktop: i9-9900K 32GB DDR4-1060, 8GB RTX 2070S (Super) PCIe 3.0
Only the desktop (#3) is upgradeable.
Earlier I considered upgrading the desktop's GPU, but in view of its PCIe 3.0 and Gen 9 CPU does it make any sense to replace the 8GB 2070 super with a 3000 or 4000 series nVidia card? Civ VII is CPU multi-core intensive.
I am now thinking that getting a Rizen 5950x and new mobo (which one?) that would use my DDR4 RAM (Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200) and fit in my Fractal Design R5 case may be better choice.
What do you recommend / how much would you spend?

Hi there,
I took my first attempt of the GRE today. I scored 156 V and 162 Q (unofficial).
I was really upset with my result, particularly when it comes to Quant. I need a really high score (>167), and apparently, I managed to miss a lot of questions that I am not used to getting wrong. I had 1 month and a half to prepare (following the 1 month plan from Gregmat). I took Gregmat's PT1 and ETS's Untimed PP1 version. I scored 163 Q on PT1 on my second week of prep, and I aced the quant sections of untimed PP1 (I know this is untimed, but I timed myself accordingly). My perception was the questions I got in the actual test were much easier than the ones I used to practice (mostly from Gregmat's website, few others from ETS's books).
I am less worried about verbal since I only had time to memorize 10-12 groups of vocab. I am also not a super fast reader and great with the TC/SE questions, so I recognize that there is still a lot of work to be done there.
The reason why I am feeling puzzled with the quant, even though I did better than verbal, is that I don't know what I am missing. I literally knew how to solve all of the questions that were prompted to me. I didn't even have to experiment with multiple strategies to solve any of the questions; I knew right away what to do and got plausible results for all of them. I struggled a bit with time in the 2nd section, but still, I don't feel like I had to rush through any of them. The only thing that sounds reasonable to me is if I got caught up on a lot of tricky answers (like the infamous D alternative in quantitative comparison type questions).
I have a second attempt scheduled in 3 weeks from now. Any suggestions?
