2024.11.25 21:30 sad_moron Iâm mentally exhausted
Iâve been working on applications while balancing school and work, and Iâm tired of it all. I still havenât finished my SOP and my first deadline is December 1st. Iâm thinking about not applying to that school anymore.
This semester has honestly been hellish. Both my parents lost their jobs, my grandmother was diagnosed with a brain tumor and and had to go through surgery, and I was diagnosed with a disease (that I donât want to get into), and my grades arenât the best. Iâve been dealing with all of this and I feel like Iâm going insane because Iâm keeping it all to myself. I donât have good enough friends to talk to, and my boyfriend is also exhausted with applications and work so he canât listen to me complain forever. With the recent election Iâve been only applying to places that are in blue states where abortion is protected. My friends think itâs pointless but I really donât feel comfortable with the idea of living somewhere where birth control can be banned. Unfortunately, due to some medical conditions, I rely on birth control in order to regulate my cycle properly. I donât want the added stress of having to worry about it being banned. Iâm also really scared to live alone in a red state as a brown woman. But just the thought of being alone in a new state is also terrifying. On top of all of this, I also have to worry about what research I want to do for the future in grad school. I feel like I have a general idea, but itâs a specific topic so Iâm not able to get into a school with that subject of research, Iâm kind of screwed.
All I feel about grad school is dread. Iâll be spending so much money to apply. I only got a couple of fee waivers. I am really hoping I get into a school that does research in gravitational waves. I wish I could just skip to March at this point. The uncertainty is killing me.
I guess writing this out helps me feel better. All I can do is keep going. Hopefully this helps someone know theyâre not alone and that I am also suffering with them lol

Iâve been taking a small hiatus after working up to chapter 3 and am gearing up to review and pick it back up.
Itâs a lot of work and takes a long time but it provides amazing insights ideal for beginners who want to improve their results.
Iâm 34 and Iâve always struggled with my own creations coming out flat, boring, inconsistent, etc. Iâve tried a lot of ways to breakthrough this but I feel like this is the method thatâs actually teaching me how to break that with not just skills or techniques but understanding the purpose for them.
Get to lesson 3 and itâll start blowing your mind. Iâm excited to get back to it.

So I recently built my first watch everythingwent good and I managed to do it in first try. I was thinking to get a high quality movment! So I worked on a NH35 and now for my second watch I wanted to buy an Swiss made ETA 2824 which cost around 400$.
I want to ask you guys with more experience, do you think it's a good idea??? I'm a going to be able to make it or should I just stick with a 70$ ETA movment instead????
