I’m driving from Edm Thursday to Red Deer from 8-5:30 dropping car for service, any suggestions? I was thinking of killing some time & Starbucks and maybe watch a movie, within walking distance in this freezing weather.
Was here few weeks ago sat @ dealership from 11-5pm fell asleep 😴 while playing games on iPad…till I got annoyed another customer blasting loud metal music for 3 hours.
Thinking of catching a ride to Calgary but it requires so much Plan Ahead🤪

Art of Statistics by Spiegelhalter is one of my favorite books on data and statistics. In a sea of books about theory and math, it instead focuses on the real-world application of science and data to discover truth in a world of uncertainty. Each chapter poses common life-questions (ie. do statins actually reduce the risk of heart attack), and then walks through how the problem can be analyzed using stats.
Does anyone have any recommendations for other similar books. I'm particularly interested in books (or other sources) that look at the application of the theory we learn in school to real-world problems.

I feel like the timeline for the episodes is so odd.
I was watching the last episode and it begins basically where episode 2 starts off with Beth and rip, then shows Kacey and family setting up their new house which is past where they were last episode and the the death of John Dutton which I think should have been somewhere in the first episode.
Is it just me or is it weird. I stream episodes the next days so maybe that’s why

I have about 20 master sets. Mostly SWSH and SV, plus a couple vintage and mid-gen. All of them have at least 1-2 of the cards as graded slabs, some with many as 10-20 of the top cards in the set graded.
Will that make it harder to sell them in the future? I would want to price them higher given the higher value of the graded cards. Should I sell the slabs now and replace them with raw? Please share reasoning is possible 🙂

FTM currently visiting in-laws for Thanksgiving, and my sweet 13wo is managing the best he can with every loud, persistent family member who gets up in his face. I'm incredibly impressed with his patience so far, but I can tell he's constantly on the verge of strung out panic based on his wimpers and half cries, which just makes people swarm even more. I retreat with him often to go sit awhile in our dark bedroom, but I'm not sure how we're going to last the whole week. Any tips? How are we surviving the holidays?

I really don’t know where else to post. I feel like my life is just falling apart. I have severe stage 4 endo, it has ruined my 8 year relationship, my energy, my social life and my organs. I’ve had two laps and a hysterectomy within 12 months so it has also taken my fertility and I’ve no children. I’m in pain 24/7 and it’s continuing to grow in dangerous locations like both of my ureters. Now I found out I’m losing my job and can’t find another remote job, unable to work in office. I just can’t go on, how do you look after yourself when you feel this way, any advice welcome I’ve never felt so low
