Hi all, looking to replace my current PC that's served me well for over 10 years. Unfortunately it's on its last legs now and I can't game on it at all. I'd like to replace it with something that can handle high fps 1440p gaming. I also need to get a monitor to go with it and would like one that can make 1440p gaming shine.
- New build or upgrade?
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
- WiFi or wired connection?
- Size/noise constraints?
- Cololighting preferences?
- Any other specific needs?
I'd also like to have 2 m.2 drives if possible (1tb for a boot drive and a higher storage drive for everything else), but if it's not possible I can just get a 2nd drive in the future.

2024.11.25 22:33 _Ross- [Urology] Left testicle - Dull ache, scrotum hanging lower than normal, hx. of hematuria
History:
Age: 31
Sex: Male
Prior history: Hematuria earlier this year, diagnosis was E. Coli. Was prescribed 2 different medications (I believe macrobid was the one that finally fixed it)
Other history: Addison's Disease Primary.
Medications: Hydrocortisone and Fludrocortisone
NKDA
Upcoming CT for Abdomen/Pelvis (I believe), as well as a cystoscopy, both in early January.
Complaint:
I have been having dull aching specifically on the left side of my scrotum, with extra sensitivity to my left testicle. It seems like my scrotum hangs lower than normal, and today even when fully flaccid, my penis feels as though it is very slightly more stuff than it normally is when flaccid, but not so extreme that I would suspect a priapism. I *may* see slightly enlarged / engorged vasculature on the left lateral / posterior side of my scrotum. It seems to feel more noticeable when walking/laying down, and less noticeable when sitting. It isn't a sharp pain, but more of a dull ache.
No pain with urination, no discoloration of my genitals, no lumps that I can feel, no hematuria, no frequent urination.
Is this something that I can likely safely wait to have investigated by my Urologist in early January? Or am I at a significant risk of something that I should be seen much more quickly?

And to avoid farming there are many ways to approach it, minimum of turns, playing a minimum amount of cards, etc, that can control it very well.

2024.11.25 22:33 daria_here My pc is shocking me
Hello! This is my first build and I’ve had it for two months. Whenever I touch my USB ports, the screw in the back of the case or any unpainted part, I can feel the electricity running through my fingers (so I’d say it is not static energy). I tried using two different extension chords (can’t use the outlet as it’s too far away) and the problem persists. I will buy a surge protector, but I unfortunately can’t call an electrician.
When I first built this pc, I completely forgot that I had to screw the motherboard into the standoffs, NOT THE ACTUAL PC CASE (I know how stupid my mistake is but in my defense I was underslept and excited). In result, my motherboard bent, see the picture above. I installed it correctly and after that my pc started shocking me. It also makes a faint buzzing sound, but I can’t tell if it’s coming from the motherboard or it’s just coil whine.
Should I just get a new motherboard? Could it cause a serious problem (starting a fire or shorting the other components) if the bent part is somehow touching the case?

 | i have had this golden pothos for years, she's been through a lot. when given to me it was in a hanging vase of water and i'll admit i didn't take the best care of it. the roots would rot away then grow back, over and over for years. a few months ago when i decided to actually learn how to properly care for my plants, i took cuttings of the remaining healthy stems to propagate and plant. once it acclimated to the soil and started growing, i noticed it was growing super funky! it has clusters of leaves growing from what looks like the same nodes, the leaves are all different sizes too! it didn't grow like this while it was in the hanging vase, what could have happened to cause the odd growth? none of my other pothos have ever grown like this either. i'm excited to see how it looks as it continues growing, especially if it keeps shoving five or six leaves out of one node! submitted by neatcats to pothos [link] [comments] |
