I have been trying to learn to write with my non dominant hand for four years now and I failed at it. Of course I write but it's never as quick as my right hand and it's only little bit better than children's hand writing. I have practiced that just because I thought left-handedness is cool since a little kid.
Fast forward now I don't care about writing with left hand but I want to learn spanish and I am dedicating 1000hrs to be fluent (i checked the minimum requied from CEFR) but I fear what if I fail at it like i did with left hand writing training? So please what do you think? Unlike our hand muscle; is our brain guaranteed to learn what's given in certain period of time.
By the way I just had the fear, I don't have any normal learning problem. In fact I am clever student, am good with grammars; I am fluent in English and its my second language but then I have learnt that since grade1 and school subjects were given in English.
Sorry it's long, but if you ever learnt a foreign language to fluency; were you able to achieve fluency accurately by your timing?
Fluency for me( being able to express yourself fluidly without having need to translate back to your language).

How hard is it to get insurance to cover something - weird whining noises from front end for instance - after getting car back from extensive body work?
Someone swerved into me and I hit a concrete barrier head on at about 30mph. Rebuilt of the front body parts and no mechanical damage, I drove about 50' after the collision to get vehicle to safety and avoid blocking a major road.
The work is all complete as of today, I just noticed some weird noises coming from the front.
Should I just be taking it to an independent shop and getting an opinion on it first? Insurance guy honestly didn't know what to do.

I have been making the mac and cheese for my families Thanksgiving for years now following/tweaking a recipe online, and it had been pretty good. But the recipe is skimpy on the herbs and spices. It only has 1/2 tbsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper and 1/2 tsp paprika. This is fore one pound of pasta and 6 cups of cheese. I feel like a lot more spices could be put in. Any suggestions based on what you make?

hello! i (21 m) am a flight attendant based in california ysa and i've always wanted to visit vancouver.
what are some fun but budget friendly things i can do in vancouver this time of year? i've tried to look on google, facebook, and on this subreddit but i haven't found many results posted over the past few days.
i have a 32 hour layover coming up soon on dec 1-2 and this will be my first time here, i'm so excited! my hotel will be in richmond, and based on a quick search on google maps it isn't in vancouver (?) but as with any city i go to i'm always willing to take transit to get places.
i love thrifting, dive bars, quick trips to the beach, and trying out attractions and small businesses. to the locals: what are some fun but budget friendly things to do in vancouver on dec 1-2?
edit sooo i've found out that vancouver is one of the most expensive cities to live in in canada. so budget friendly might not be an option i guess but i'm still open to reading any suggestions lol
