2024.11.26 00:50 TopCatAlley Jupiter Dark Spot Mystery
Can anyone help figure out something in this photo of Jupiter that I took on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:10 PM (Nov. 23 04:10 UTC)? I have been unable to confirm what the dark spot or shadow is just above and to the right of the Red Spot. I thought it might be a transiting moon shadow, but I can't confirm that. I checked and no moons were transiting directly in front of Jupiter at that time. Could it be a glitch that occurred during rookie post-processing or could a moon cast a shadow on Jupiter's atmosphere even though it was not directly in front of Jupiter from our perspective? I would appreciate any thoughts on how to solve my mystery.

I'm running the numbers here and at least for me with collision coverage it's $60.50/month for a $500 deductible or $67.83/month for a $50 deductible.
So if I have just ONE claim in a 5yr period the lower deductible and slightly higher premium would actually me save money.
With comprehensive it's 28 months of claims free to see a savings with a higher deductible.
Why is the discount so lacking?

Here’s a quick recap: Between 2007 and 2012, Weatherford made false financial statements that overstated their earnings by more than $900M, violating accounting rules. As a result, the company had to restate its financials three times, and investors who suffered losses over this filed lawsuits.
Now, Weatherford has agreed to pay a $140M settlement through the SEC Fair Fund. The big news is that even though the claim deadline has passed, late claims are still being accepted for those who were affected.
