For context, i am a minor. Im choosing not to disclose my age for personal reasons. But basically i am stuck in a household that i dont feel safe in. And i have nowhere to go or any kind of an escape route. I have no outside relationships (being homeschooled and isolated is so lovely ya'll), and i live in the middle of timbuktu.
My household regularly consists of gaslighting and arguments, my father is manipulative and a lwwch on my mother, and my brother is aggressive and...violent, at times.
This may sound a bit rash, but i think there's something mentally wrong with my younger brother. The rest of my family is refusing to talk about it though, even though he had to get sent to a hospital for trying to harm himself and has repeatedly broken things in his room and stabbed holes in his walls. I dont really sleep with my door unlocked anymore, because im honestly scared that he might try to kill me in my sleep, or worse. I am a 5'2 shortie, he is nearly 6 feet, i dont feel safe.
I dont know what to do anymore honestly. My parents are blatantly ignoring it and saying that he's just being a ridiculous teenage boy. I dont agree.
So what can i do?? How can i get out of here? My mom is withholding my social security number from me, so i cant make a bank account without it being under her control. Which if i was able to have my own untouched bank account, id at least be able to do some kind of commissioning for cash..
I dont know what to do at this point and i feel like calling the police might be too much. Or it would get me in trouble. Plus i dont want to risk being thrown in a foster home / having my parents go to jail.
Sorry if this is a bit of a mouthful, i just really want to leave and i feel trapped and afraid. If you need any clarification feel free to ask.

2024.11.26 02:50 dshuffl3z Potential first time WRX buyer needing some advice.
As the title states, I'm looking to potentially purchase my first WRX. But I've been on the fence about purchasing. I've had 2 other opportunities to scoop one up, but passed for "practical" reasons. However, now I am in the position to get one at my local Carmax.
It's a 2020 WRX Premium with 44k miles for $27k. Test drove it and it felt great.
I'm coming from an 06 Scion XB pushing almost 300k miles, and have been looking for something a bit more on the fun to drive on my 35 min commute to work, as well as roomy for my toddler and wife, which the WRX fits both of those boxes in comparison to what I've been looking at.
My concerns however, are the unknown of reliability with these motors/transmissions, as well as the unknown of modifications that may have been done to it. Part of me wants to say it probably hasn't been modded, but the STi shift knob has me skeptical.
Just looking for some advice on if this is worth the price, what I should potentially be looking out for with it being used, or if I should just spend more on a brand new WRX (despite how much I hate the ungodly amount of plastic on the exterior as well as the touch screen climate controls lol)

Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience as well as some advice/tips for those of you starting your journey. This post may be long so I apologize in advance. 😅
I graduated Dec 2023 and due to many unforeseen circumstances I kept putting off taking my exam. Being it’s been almost a year, I felt like I had forgotten everything from nursing school. Now a year later, I was finally in a good place and decided it was time to start studying.
I studied for approximately a month from mid October up to the day before my exam which was on Nov 20th. I studied about 6 hours a day more or less and I tried to study everyday including weekends but realistically it was not possible. My studying was constantly interrupted as I have a toddler and am also going through a difficult pregnancy. We all have different experiences and things in life so do your best to study when you can. I know people say it all the time but if I can do it SO CAN YOU! If you’ve made it through nursing school you got this!
My studying: - I started by freshening up on content through YouTube videos. For this, I used mostly Nurse in the Making and SimpleNursing. - I cannot speak for other platforms but Bootcamp is the way to go!! Bootcamp has a similar interface to the NCLEX. The vagueness and the explanations are spot on. 100% recommend. - The topics I studied in order were Pregnancy/Maternity, Pediatrics, Basic Comfort/Care, Body Systems, Psych, Pharmacology, Delegation/Prioritization. - I did all 4 readiness exams from Bootcamp with all 4 being “very high”. My scores were 72%, 77%, 72%, and 72%. I completed about a third of the case studies and half of the questions. - I watched a few prioritization videos with Dr. Sharon and watched the 10 pharm videos. I tried to watch more Mark K videos but I ran out of time.
The day of my exam, I tried to be calm but I was dying inside. All I could hear after putting on my ear plugs was my heart beating. I told God that regardless of the outcome I wanted my computer to stop at 85 because I was just mentally and physically exhausted that I wanted it to be over. I took 2 hours to complete 85 questions and after hitting next on question 85 it stopped! The NCLEX makes you second guess yourself and I walked out of there feeling like I didn’t know anything. Next day on Nov 21st I decided to look at my pending application on my BON and saw that the application was not there. This immediately made me think I had failed. I signed in again and there it was my license number!!! I’m honestly still in shock and cannot believe it. I’m questioning if I truly passed but then I see my license issued and it’s just so surreal.🥹🥹🥹
My advice/tips: - Create a studying plan/schedule. You may not follow it 100% but organization is key. - Try to really rule out what you 100% know and what you need to study. Do not focus too many days on one topic. If you truly know a specific subject move on and focus on your weaknesses. - Take the readiness exams very serious and try to do them around your scheduled exam time. - IMO do not do the PVT unless your board takes forever to update. I think it’ll make you even more anxious and I cannot imagine the heartbreak if you get the good pop up and fail or vice versa. If your board takes too long then I understand doing it. - Also hold off on purchasing the quick results as your board may issue your license before the 48 hours. Save some money. Again this only applies if your board is quick. - Write stuff down and take notes on the videos you watch. - Do watch all 10 Dr. Sharon Pharmacology videos and the prioritization. She breaks it down nicely so you know who to assess first! - When testing think about the safest answer. Use common sense and go with your gut. Try not to change your answers and absolutely only pick answers you know are 100% correct for SATA. - Make sure you know what you can/cannot delegate and how to prioritize!!!! Bootcamp has a category called “Management of Care” which is awesome for these topics. - Remember, if you do fail not all is lost, use your 45 days to study and try again. Please do not get discouraged.
With all of this, I wanted to say whether it’s been a month, a year, or 5 years you can do it. Whatever your obstacles are you can push through them. Do not compare yourself to others. Try to ease your anxiety, breathing techniques helped me during the exam. If there are moms out there struggling I empathize with you all and trust you will be successful. I have seen weapons that scales off of 2 stats (Like the thousand pounds bow scales from str and dex). I wanted to know weather it better to just go all in one str since it scales more with that or should I invest equally I'm both stats? It's not just about the thousand pounds bow.
