Hi,
I have a problem that reads as such:
A 5 kg block is set into motion up an inclined plane with an initial speed of vi = 8m/s. The block comes to erst after traveling d = 3m along the plane, which is inclined at an angle of 30 degrees to the horizontal. For this motion, determine the friction force exerted on the block.
I ended up with the final equation (mgh-1/2 mv^2)/-x = Ff; Ff = umgcos30. According to the textbook, I'm correct, but why doesn't the force of gravity along the incline (mgsintheta) affect the block?

He had a pair of steel toed boots and a short staff (ua allows for simple support equipment) not to mention the fact that he stole a one pointers shield and he after he saved uraraka (who in turn saved him by helping him run away from the zero pointer) he passed with a good mix of hero and villian points (favouring hero points) like kirishima but he turned down the invitation to ua's hero course.
How would allmight feel when he see's the quirkless kid he discouraged from pursuing heriocs pass the entrance exam only to pass up the opportunity to do so and how would bakugou feel seeing izuku's name in the points board only to not see him in the class at all and for 1-a to have an empty seat and how would ochako and ida feel about it.
The catalyst for this scenario is a after allmight saves izuku and tells him to give being a hero izuku goes home and decides to immediately move away and change school's (because while he could accept allmight's advice he really doesn't want to deal with bakugou anymore) and in his new home he ends up meeting gentle criminal and ends up becoming a part of his team (mostly as a planner and strategist) and it's thanks to gentle's encouragement and life story that he actively trains to become stronger and it's from seeing la brava contribute heavily with her auxiliary skills that made him to decide to learn support engineering.
He basically tried the heriocs entrance exam as a test from gentle (he only needed to score more than 10 points) to prove he's ready to become a sidekick rather than background support. He didn't actually think he would pass (he expected ua to have more students who where as hardworking and talented as bakugou) and was surprised when he actually passed but after researching ua and learning that a lot of heriocs students tend to get expelled decided to stick to the support course and do more vigilante stuff with gentle.

Ok, Black Friday deals may drive me crazy. I'm looking to buy a better stick for around $100, but there are so many choices. Viking Valhalla, Lucky, Dufferin, Collapsed, Viper Sinister: all come in this price range. Also, a Player's Sneaky Pete is available for $125, and I'm kind of interested in the Crical Pro for $136. It's carbon fiber, but is it worth the difference? I want something that will last until I'm ready to upgrade; not forced to replace it. Are joints an issue? Tips?
