2024.11.26 03:38 witbirds Looking to upgrade from HD598
Budget: $250-300 max
I’ve had the 598’s for so long, they’re really beat up now, looking to upgrade. I’ve just mostly plugged right into my pc motherboard but I’d also be interested in any possible upgrades from that that aren’t too pricy. I like the soundstage for gaming (play CS2), open back is so much more comfortable for me, as well as the design of the headphones themselves feels really comfy for me. Mostly to be used for PC gaming and listening to music and some movies - listen to a lot of rap, indie folk, alt rock. I’m interested in what my options might be from seinheiser just cause they’ve done me well in the past and I like the design but love to hear all suggestions. Thanks so much!

2024.11.26 03:38 Commercial_Ease8053 Hot take: you shouldn’t be allowed to complain about your food if you order deliver or get drive thru and eat at home. Dine in, it’s an entirely different experience!
When you eat it dine in fresh, it’s literally like night and day. No soggy lettuce or squished tortilla or mushy cheese or etc. It’s so good!!!
Pictures in order: Gordita supreme, meximelt, double stacked taco +beans, and green burrito.

2024.11.26 03:38 Bishop-Boomer Bible Study From The Daily Office for Tuesday, November 26, 2024
The Collect:
Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your well-beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Readings:
Psalm 121; 122; 123 Reading Zechariah 11:4–17
Gospel: Luke 18:31–43
31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them,Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying,What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him,Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
Commentary:
Of the verses selected for today’s study, many versions of the bible separate these verses into two parts. The second part is the account of Jesus healing the blind man at Jericho, while the first examines how Jesus told his disciples what was about to happen.
“Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.” (vs. 31 – 33)
As we have often noted, the entourage following Jesus consisted of far more than the 12 disciples, including disciples other than the core 12, as well as a large group of people that had determined—for various reasons—to follow Jesus until the end; like the core 12 disciples, none expected the end to be that which it was.
“Then he took unto him the twelve…” Luke tells us that he had taken the core group aside, away from the others, to tell them of his intentions. “...we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.” Throughout the Gospels, the point is made clear that, Jesus and his ministry is the exclusive fulfillment of the ancient prophecies foretelling of a Messiah, the anointed one, sent to God to reestablish his kingdom. Overtime, the retelling prophecies had been twisted in the minds of the people so that they expected a “King” in the mold of David or one of the other great Hebrew Kings of antiquity. Even the core 12 disciples, had it in their minds, that they were on their way up to Jerusalem for the purpose of establishing Jesus as the rightful king of the Jews. But here Jesus tells them; “For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.”
However we find Luke writing: “And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.”Again, they are expecting grand and glorious things, not the arrest, torture, and execution of their beloved teacher and friend.
As the story of the healing of the blind man opens, we are told that Jesus was approaching Jericho. Jericho was already a very ancient city, located about 8 km west of the River Jordan and about 25 km north-east of Jerusalem. In Jesus’ time, the Jericho of the Old Testament was largely abandoned, but a new city, south of the old one, had been built by Herod the Great. It was the last main stop for Jesus before arriving in Jerusalem.
In Mark’s version, Jesus is leaving Jericho, but here Luke has Jesus approaching the city. Mark has Jesus leaving Jericho on the way to Jerusalem and his passion, and the blind man becomes his follower. Luke has Jesus going into and through Jericho on the way to Jerusalem because he wants to bring in Zacchaeus (a man whose eyes are opened by Jesus), a story not mentioned by either Mark or Matthew.
The story begins with a blind man sitting beside the road begging (in Matthew’s account, there are actually two blind men, see Matt 20:29-34. Mark tells us that his name was Bartimaeus). As we have mentioned before, the ‘road’ is the Way to Jerusalem on which Jesus has set his mind to go, keeping his appointment with a cross. When the beggar hears that Jesus is passing by Bartimaeus begins to call out in a loud voice: “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
It was common in those days to make reference of the town or village a person was from, e.g. Jesus of Nazareth, however, by addressing Jesus as ‘Son of David’, he implies Jesus’ role as Messiah-King, the savior of Israel the prophets had promised would come.
Bartimaeus instantly knew that this was his window of opportunity. Jesus was passing by. Soon He would be gone, never to pass that way again. Like a halfback who sees a brief opening in the line, Bartimaeus plunged through. He began to shout at the top of his voice, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Those near him said, “Shut up, old man! We can’t hear what Jesus is saying!” He shouted even louder, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” The ones leading the way yelled, “Tell that beggar to be quiet! The Master has more important things to attend to.” But Bartimaeus wouldn’t be silenced. This was his only chance and he wasn’t going to miss it.
This story (which is Luke’s last miracle) and the next (about Zaccheus) are examples of how the nation of Israel should have responded to her Messiah. Bartimaeus and Zaccheus compare with the publican in Jesus’ parable (18:9-17), who cried out to God for mercy. They stand in contrast to the Pharisee in the parable and the rich young ruler (18:18-27), who both tried to approach God based on their own merit. The Pharisee and the rich young ruler were likely candidates for salvation who missed it because they trusted in themselves and refused to acknowledge their sin. Bartimaeus and Zaccheus were unlikely candidates for salvation who obtained it through faith in God’s mercy, apart from anything in themselves. Thus Luke uses this unlikely blind beggar to teach us that when Jesus passes by, we should cry out to Him in faith and He will be merciful to us.
Bartimaeus knew the business of begging; he wasn’t shy! He cried out for all he was worth, and when people told him to shut up, he yelled all the louder! He kept shouting until he heard that Jesus was calling for him. His bold, persistent faith obtained what he was after. This blind beggar teaches us seven lessons in faith:

2024.11.26 03:38 augustsIippedaway Can someone confirm this for me? Question regarding home internet promo.
I was given a free trial of home internet in October. At the end of October I swear I saw that there was an offer for $200 back when activating the home internet. I meant to call T-mobile to ask why I wasn’t offered but some personal stuff happened and it completely got away from me. Upon checking, there is now a $150 offer, however that won’t apply to me because I believe it went into effect this month. I want to call them and still ask why I wasn’t offered the October promo and see if they will make an exception for me but I can’t find any proof of this promotion. Can someone help me out here?

2024.11.26 03:38 No_Produce5341 Possible to submit letter of reference on various university applications?
So basically I am looking to apply for engineering after taking a gap year. My grades are pretty mid (90 average), but I have lots of other experiences that could hopefully make up for my grades such as a co-op placement I did at the University of Waterloo mechanical engineering department. I was told that they were pretty happy with the quality of work that I did, meaning that I could probably ask for a letter of reference. For most universities, is there somewhere where I can submit a letter of reference or something similar for applications? Thinking of applying to Guelph, Western, McGill, Waterloo and Queens.
Thanks for responses in advance.

2024.11.26 03:37 Feisty-Try-492 New player (d2 fan) question: is SSF viable?
Wondering whether it's feasible in Poe in general to just play ssf or if trading is so important that ssf is made way more tricky. Considering 36 end classes at some point I'd guess that means a ton of gear is irrelevant to any given SP character. I do love to get inspired to make a new character when I find something I can't use, but, is it realistic I'll be able to achieve similar builds as if I was trading?
