Hello mga doc, I just want to ask opinions po on what specialty yung relatively madali ma establish after grumaduate ng residency? My choices po are IM, OB, Anes, Derma but I’m also open to other specialties since super undecided pa po talaga ako. I’m planning to do residency next year.
I’m a first gen doctor po pala kaya wala akong mamanahin na practice + wala pong stocks parents ko sa private hospitals. I just want to help and give back po to my parents but I’m worried na baka after residency is mahirapan ako maghanap ng stable job.

I know this is a complete hail marry, but I love the infinite dungeon mode. I just wish there was a mod that allowed me to access my item vault more often, and also one that made it possible to reliably get AM / Psiblade tree.

about a month ago i vented here about my bestfriend walking me into the woods to tell me she was in love with my boyfriend and he is her soulmate. thought i would update you guys on the aftermath.
layla took me home that night and stayed with me and the next day finn and i went with layla to her house where her and a few of our other friends live. i told them all what happened and one of our other friends, i’ll call her niki, said she did notice julie acting a little off toward finn on a couple occasions, like inching closer to him on the couch, videoing him doing things that weren’t all that interesting, etc. so it seems to add up.
after we all talked about it my other friends convinced me this girl was an actual danger to me being so obsessed with my boyfriend. so i decided to not talk to her. three days of radio silence go by and i decided since i was going to distance myself from julie i should probably give her back her guitar she left at my house for me to use.
also since it was our birthday, my sisters gave me a tiger ring to give to her. so i texted her, “i need to bring you your guitar. and my sisters gave me a present to give to you. let me know when would be a good time to come by” she texted back that i could come that evening, so me and layla went to her house together to give her the guitar and the ring.
we talked a lot and i honestly can’t remember it all, but i basically told her that she was really important to me and i was just worried about her drastically changing all of a sudden. she agreed she’s been different and apologized for ruining our friendship.
she put the ring on, and it fit a little bit too well. we all took a picture together with julie holding her hand up with the ring on so i could send it to my sisters, and as she goes to take the ring off and it brakes into two pieces.
i thought it was wild, and told her i had no clue it was so fragile. she laughed and said she didn’t mean to break it, but didn’t seem to mind too much.
after layla and i left i texted her to let her know ill always love and care about her and she’ll always be more important to me than any guy ever will. we texted for awhile, wish i could include it all, but the conversation was on a good note.
and then i asked her if she was still wanting to come with me to see one of our friends the next weekend who moved an hour away. we had these plans for weeks. she told me she probably won’t be able to so she can get caught up on school work. so i asked why she told me she definitely wanted to go.
she flipped out on my with a long paragraph starting with “oh my god.” basically telling me her priorities in life are more important than plans she has with her friends. i told her i get that and just asked why she insisted she was going and told her she was not the same julie ive always known. i told her she’s a totally different person now.
she said she seems that way cause she is a different person. and she’s on a spiritual path. and her higher beings have told her i’m out to get her and i’ve been a fake friend all these years.
a lot of words were exchanged, but she basically ended it on we aren’t good friends for each other anymore and im holding her back from the journey she’s meant to go on. so i stopped texting her and haven’t talked to her since. she still texts layla sometimes but hasn’t hung out with any of our friend group since the birthday party.
sorry if it’s not a good update, but yeah, our friendship is toast

Right so, with Black Friday, I've got these on my wishlist, but here's the thing: I plan to buy TWO of them.:
FFVII: last FF title I played was X, ages ago. Never played the original and kinda wanna wait whatever years there are for the third and play it all in one go. Also I have the first from Plus, so maybe I can save some by just buying regular instead of the pack.
Avatar: loved the films, loved the world, but not sure how repetitive the gameplay loop can go. Also, not sure if the DLCs are worth it and might just jump the gun on basic and get the pass cheaper later. How does it compare to Cyberpunk? Instead of the usual, and obvious, Far Cry comparisons.
Outlaws: same as Avatar, but probably the lowest on my list, due to continuous patches, price, and overall reputation.
Alone in the Dark: itching for a new survival horror after SH2R, but the overall presentation, being a AA, kinda makes me wait for a cheaper price. But I've heard the story its the strongest thing from the game.
Rise of Ronin: don't know much from this, but gameplay looks fun. Don't know how much it can compare to Tsushima and Sekiro, which I finished but I'm in a bit of a Samurai craze after the Shogun series.
I'll probably get the top recommendation for Rebirth of course, but not sure about my second purchase.

I'm feeling pretty torn.
My(nonbinary, any pronouns) fiancé(he/him) and I are in our 20s. We got engaged mid-summer '23. We have always planned to have a private ceremony with just us, officiant, witnesses, and a photographer somewhere beautiful outside and then have a big reception/party with friends and family after a honeymoon. I told my parents of this plan shortly after our engagement. They seemed supportive.
Initially, we decided to just plan it how we want it and then wait until we could pull it off, but life got in the way... and kept getting in the way. We realized there's just never going to be a "right" time, and the longer we wait the less I care about having a "wedding" and the more I just want to be married to the love of my life. So, screw it, we're getting married at the local courthouse next month. The date is set.
I brought it up to my mom over text (she lives 6hrs drive away from me) as a hypothetical to guage her reaction. At first she said, and I quote "I support whatever you want" and I was so relieved and kind of surprised. She's since made it clear that she does NOT in fact support what we want. Our convo went exactly as follows;
Me: " [fiancé's name] and I have been thinking about just getting married at the courthouse sometime soon. We still do want to do a reception but it would probably need to wait until like next fall."
Mom: "I support whatever you want- and I think it would be great if you wait until next fall for the wedding and reception- I would be able to help then. And you could do something small but nice outside somewhere"
Me (not realizing she said wedding and reception): "I was thinking maybe a fire on [name of family property] if it's cleaned up enough and w the burn ban lifted of course"
Mom: "That could be really nice"
Me: "We think so too. We'd want food and drinks and music too of course"
Mom: "Yes- it's going to be a wedding & a celebration!"
Me (now realizing she's said wedding twice): "We don't really plan to do a public ceremony, so more just a reception. I love the idea of celebrating with family but I personally don't find the need for or like the idea of making the ceremony itself a more public affair"
Mom: "You can still do them on the same day- you could even go to a court house in a small group and then head to the reception- "
Me: "I think we'll do it here before we move with just us. We'll probably pay for witnesses to keep it 100% neutral so nobody feels personally excluded. Eloping was always the plan, the only difference now is that the reception will be longer after the 'ceremony' than we originally planned."
It has been five days, and she has not responded. Four days ago, she responded to my snapchat story (video of my dog) with "awww" and I replied with "yeah he's cute. I hope you're not too upset about the wedding situation." Two days ago, she finally opened that message, was "typing" and then also never responded. She's been active in our family group chat and on her social media. It's very obvious I'm getting the cold shoulder.
My fiancé and I may or may not go to her place for Thanksgiving (other circumstances dictate if we do or do not) so we might discuss it then. If we don't though, and she doesn't open up to me on her own, I plan to just get married without bringing it up to her. I feel it would be a fair and natural consequence of literally ignoring your daughter after they tell you they're probably getting married soon. I don't think I should cater to my mother's petty decision to ice me out because she doesn't agree with how I choose to get married. My fiancé agrees with this.
To be clear, I am NOT questioning how and when I am getting married. I am 100% confident in that decision. I am not 100% confident in how to deal with my mother. We've had a difficult relationship in the past, and how it is now is the best I can remember it being. I don't want to ruin that, (I'm sure she'll be hurt and upset if leave her out of the loop) but my family has some dysfunctional, sometimes toxic tendencies and I also feel the need to protect my own peace and be sure they all know I won't be taking their BS now or ever.
So, would I be the as*hole if I get married without telling my mom?

I’ve been on it for about a year and thought I was just getting older Then I went off it for a few days and had a complete meltdown over something small for the first time in a year …
I think it’s a meltdown but it’s like a nervous breakdown where it’s the end of the world and I’m spiraling and everyone hates me and I should end it
So I went back on it and am fine again I’ll also feel more like my husband doesn’t love me when I’m off it I’ll overthink and get super sensitive compared to when I’m on it
Honestly I don’t know if this is an autism thing or something else
