I was going to attempt to attach an image but I don't think I can.
10 year old cat. About two to two and a half months ago I noticed her having a lot of pain around her back end. Didnt want her tail touched, etc.
Got her into the vet. He scratched his head and prescribed her gabapentin for a few days, told me to see if it helped.
I felt like maybe she was very slowly improving.
About a month and a half ago she had this random episode of projectile vomiting like 3-4 times in a row. I got very worried but she then was able to eat and hold down her food just fine. I had switched her (wet) food to a different brand about a week to ten days before that so I brushed it off as a tummy upset.
Around this time (I can't recall before or shortly after the vomiting episode) I had switched her litter from Tidy Cats to World's Best after reading about how the clay clumping litters can cause issues.
Then I gradually started noticing her having different behavior. Low tail, meowing, seemed miserable. She's a naturally anxious cat and has these days so again I didn't think too much of it.
Flash forward about two weeks ago. She stopped eating, became extremely lethargic. She seemed to hunch to walk and stood but hunched to use the litterbox, poo or pee. I thank goodness happened to have a vet appointment lined up for her (a follow up from the gabapentin visit). On my way there I had to hit the brakes going like 25-30 mph because some person suddenly stopped in front of me. The carrier didn't fall but she did slide into the side. :( When we arrived there she did seem okay, was walking fine, but the vet noted that she had a 104 degree fever and the vet injected her with an antibiotic.
Well, that helped. Her back end doesn't seem to be in pain, she's eating well, and is alert and not lethargic.
But since the day immediately after the vet she's in incredible pain and doesn't seem to want to walk. She seems unsteady on one of her back feet and also limps on her front paw. Her toes are a little pink (not red) and her feet are a tad warmer but no cracks or anything crazy like that. Her left front paw and right back leg are the worst. Her right back leg toes seem puffy and most of her pain seems to be in between her toed or the space between her paw pad and toes. She's in so much pain I have to carry her to the litter box and stuff.
The vet prescribed her more gaba on his day off, enough until she's scheduled to see him, and he had me drop off her urine—urinalysis came back completely fine. This was due to the hunching and standing litterbox behavior, but he noted no crystals or UTI. Rare red blood cells and rare white blood cells was all he mentioned, and slightly low gravity but that likely had to do with me syringing a ton of water down her throat.
It's now day 9. I got the idea to switch her litter to grass seed in case maybe she has a random corn allergy and her food back to her old stuff (Merrick's grain free wet food). I take her back into the vet on Saturday. I keep feeling down her spine and her legs and front legs for injuries, can't feel anything and she doesn't seem to be in any pain until I touch her toes/paw pad area.

2024.11.26 04:29 pnwpowderhound Second attempt at a smoked brisket
 | Smoked my second prime brisket from Costco on my Traeger 34. Post trimming came in around 16lbs. I feel like I probably should’ve trimmed more but got worried I was doing a hack job so I tossed this puppy in the smoker around 9pm @225. Woke up around 7am, bark wasn’t quite set so I let it ride for a few more hours until internal reached 170 and the bark looked good. Wrapped in butcher paper with some beef tallow and pulled @203 internal. Opened the butcher paper to release some heat for about 15min or so then rewrapped and put into the warmer for 3 1/2hrs monitoring the temp to avoid dropping below 145. I know smoking is a journey but would love some feedback on how to get better. My wife and kids said it tastes amazing. I know briskets are forgiving in a sense but always looking to improve. I take her out of her cage a lot and make sure she has things to do. I just need ideas for toys and thinks hamsters can do to entertain them. I have looked on Amazon for hamster boredom breakers but am not sure on what actually works and is used by them. I have had a few toilet paper rolls I have folded and put food in, but she seemed to have kept pushing them up against her water bottle and then it’d get the roll wet. Because it is so big and gets moved around lol. So I’m just wondering what has worked for your hamsters? Thank you!

I mildly tried to manifest someone a few months ago, disappointed and stopped talking. We decided it was best since it was a one sided friendship.
Anyways, my emotional permanence kicked in and i lowkey forgot about them. But now, I’m seeing their name consistently. For the past two hours, facebook has notified me of their exact account that I had never looked up prior and suggested I follow over 6 times??? I send the notif away each time
I see their name at work, etc.. its not a matter of selective attention when i no longer give a damn. I forgot about them but im curious why their name is randomly appearing. The hell kind of sign is this when I let go of the outcome?? It feels like a weird message at me and I’m not sure if I should pay attention to when I see it or not.
