I ordered an item for next day delivery. Unfortunately it’s sold by 3rd party, ships from Amazon.
When the item did not arrive next day I attempted to cancel in the app. Cancel was denied because the item “was about to ship” and would arrive the following day.
When the item didn’t arrive the day after that I contacted chat thru the app to cancel it. They said the request was “escalated” and that it would be cancelled within 24 hours.
24 hours later the item still had not shipped and was listed in the app as “delayed”. It was still not cancelled. I contacted chat thru the app and again was told that they would escalate the cancellation and it would be cancelled within 24 hours.
Now yet another day later the item is still not cancelled, it’s still on my orders as delayed.
Attempts to contact the 3rd party seller have not gone anywhere. How can I get this item cancelled? How can I get Amazon to stop telling me to wait another 24 hours?

Ok, so a post came up recently asking about bedding, and I wanted to share what I've found. Please add any input if you feel called to do so...! Hoping to create resources/solutions for those who feel overwhelmed. I'm also hoping to get this out now since there are a ton of sales happening, and considering how expensive bedding can be, it's worth it to purchase now if you can!
- With sheets, I opt for **undyed cotton, wool or linen** that have the Made Safe certification. This is incredibly important, bc the GOTS certification still allows for flame retardants and other chemicals many of us may react to to be applied to the bedding. So don't be fooled into thinking that certification means it's MCS-safe. There are a few companies that have undyed sheets, and googling "undyed bedding" and "made safe certified bedding" was how I started my journey. Oh! Lyocell is a no-go for me. Don't fall for it. I also avoid anything that is wrinkle-resistant or described as buttery smooth.
- For duvets/blankets/mattress protectors, I tend to reach for wool/cotton blends. Because wool is naturally flame retardant, you can usually assume that a product with wool will NOT have any flame retardants sprayed onto it. Again, this is very important, because as someone pointed out in that last post, organic sheets that are GOTS certified are still sprayed. And while wool is more expensive and difficult to launder, it's a great investment: it lasts a long time, is naturally resistant to mold, and is paradoxically more warm in the cooler months and more cooling in the warmer months. Some people (including myself) also believe that it encourages better sleep.
- Avocado Mattress. This is my favorite for sheets because of the price point. Note that their percale sheets are NOT Made Safe certified, but their organic cotton sheets are.
- Sheperd's Dream. A store located in the PNW that carries different companies' products. They have excellent resources on their site; worth a look.
- Rawganique. Clothing, bedding, etc.
- Coyuchi. One of the overall best. Expensive, but trusted.
- The Wool Room. Mattress protector and topper were excellent!
- Boll & Branch. Tbh, I've heard conflicting things about them, but I've had luck with their natural (i.e. undyed) sheets.
- Sleep and Beyond. Their merino wool is excellent.
2024.11.26 04:12 SaiyanVizard Help needed on ghosting video - Atomos Shogun Flame | Davinci Resolve
 | I just filmed several interviews where the image looked great on the Atomos Shogun Flame, this was the case for the live view when recording and as well for the playback as shown on the left image. However, when brought into my computer and in Davinci resolve there is a ghosting effect making it unusable. It looks as if there is a second copy of the video playing ontop of the original video at partial opacity and shifted slightly horizontally. It is not a still image but rather a continuous thing as the video is played through. Because the playback appears normal when I check the SSD in the atomos I am optimistic that the footage is not permanently damaged. I hate it when people say they envy how no one cares about me. A lot of people I know are these born to win types. Born into rich families who adore instead of resent them and love them as much or more than their siblings. They’ve got the brawn, the beauty, the brains, the charisma. They’re useful, people instantly like them and they don’t have to put much effort into anything in life. My polar opposite. I’m a ghost, most of the time people don’t even notice I’m there. My presence makes no difference in anyone’s life and they envy that. “You’re so lucky,” they tell me, “I wish my life was like that. I’d rather be treated like I don’t matter. To be loved and cared about by another is a huge responsibility. People need me. I can’t just disappear.”
Do you know what I’d give to have someone who cared enough to notice when I wasn’t around? It goes deeper than a typical nobody-loves-me type shit. I was in a hostage situation a few years ago. I had no contact with anyone I knew, no access to phone or internet.
No one came for me. I sure the entire neighborhood heard me screaming when they attacked and nobody cared. Didn’t even send over the police to figure out what was going on. You don’t know what it’s like to be trapped like that to the point where all you can do is scream for help and make as much noise as you can, knowing someone must be able to hear you but waiting there hour after hour, day after day, sometimes not even being given food or water, shit up in a dark room unable to move around much or know what time of day it is only for no one to come at all.
People had even witnessed this person attack me physically the few times they let me outside. Nobody cared. Nobody asked what had happened. They just watched and at the time my health was poor I was too sick to put up much of a fight.
Eventually they just left. I don’t know why. But when I returned to the world no one seemed at all bothered by my absence or like they noticed at all. It was then that I realized all my so called friendships were built on lies. None of those people cared about me.
I could be a ghost and no one would know the difference. And they want to matter as little as I do? Be my guest. I’d trade my life for having an “annoying” boyfriend who asks about me if he doesn’t hear from me in a few days, clingy friends who always want to hang out or for parents who didn’t forget to pick me up from school all the time and gave the largest helping at dinner to my brother, only leaving me whatever was leftover. You don’t know how good you have it. And if being loved is a burden it’s a burden I wouldn’t mind taking.
