wondering if anyone struggles with this. i also have chronic migraines but this doesn’t occur only when i’m having a migraine. its been increasingly constant over a period of time. ill just be minding my own business and ill get strong phantom smells like burning plastic or cigarette smoke. it’s nauseating and has been driving me nuts. i plan to see a neurologist about it when i eventually get insurance but was wondering if its maybe a POTS thing

2024.11.26 04:50 alourasgoldwing the tvd writers missed an opportunity at an EASY redemption arc with katherine
 | redemption arc meaning villain to anti-hero…maybe nonchalant/apathetic anti-hero hear me out. i need to make a list of points lol: 1) this show has a redemption boner already, so this is why i believe this lol. they basically play in your face the whole time while trying to convince you that both damon and klaus are good people by the end of their respective series right? however the characters have done so much bad stuff to the other characters, consistently (key word), that it doesn’t even make sense for other characters to even want to be around them. a lot of the bad things they did weren’t to solve something or to accomplish something (that didn’t involve gaining more power for the sake of it) it was just because they were reckless and did it because they liked it. at least most of the time unless klaus was trying to make hybrids or damon was trying to get someone off his back in the worst way possible lol. not saying that they were irredeemable…damon mainly, but their reasons were kinda weak at least half of the time. 2) i’m not talking about end of season 4-season 5 katherine or season 8. i’m talking about katherine in seasons 1-3. while she did do bad stuff to all of them, it was for a REASON. and she wasn’t being reckless and doing things just for the sake of it…for the most part. she still did some snarky stuff for the sake of it, but you get what i mean lmao. even if one might not agree with those reasons, she had pretty cut and dry reasons. to stay away from klaus, and to survive for as long as she could. that was the reason for all her scheming. in pursuit of something or trying to accomplish something. that being said. this would’ve been the easiest and most natural redemption arc in the world. by season 4 maybe…mid season 4…katherine has no reasons to run anymore. she doesn’t have to scheme/plan because klaus has given up his revenge vendetta. so…literally the most natural thing for her to have done was to just…STOP SCHEMING. BECAUSE SHE HAS NO REASONS TO DO IT, AND IT WOULDN’T MAKE SENSE. that’s like her whole villainous persona. she lies, manipulates, and schemes. she was underhanded. underhanded BECAUSE she was trying to cover her tracks and keep running. she could’ve went from villain to anti-hero so easily and it would’ve made the most sense and would’ve been the most natural. but no…she had to become a cartoon villain who wants to destroy everyone because…what lmao. you could blame it on the fact that she was just stuck in her ways in the later seasons, but she was mainly just stirring the pot between some college kids. it didn’t make sense for her character at all. it’s said that she doesn’t turn off her humanity, leading you to believe that it’s important to her. she’d rather just deal with pain. the show contradicts itself for the thousandth time by having her say a line earlier that “sometimes i let it”, referring to letting her humanity in. leading you to believe that she does turn it off…but she lets it back in…either way you get the point. i’ll just run with the point that she never turns it off lmao. she was deeply hurt from losing her family and daughter. her daughter later becomes important to her…idk such missed opportunities. i’m not saying she’s the only character that deserved redemption, but i think it would’ve been the easiest to write honestly and most effective/believable if done the right way. simply just required her to stop scheming lol. i actually like katherine for the entire show despite my frustrations and quite simply believe that she’s the most interesting/complex character on the show from seasons 1-2 and a little of 3 (the originals show up, so it then becomes tied lol). so this isn’t me trashing her. i just dislike what she was turned into and that the writers wanted her to be a villain who wants to destroy them all just because. and to make some other characters look better…in my opinion. submitted by alourasgoldwing to TheVampireDiaries [link] [comments] |

I have a pure pyromancer caster type character, and a cleric type character that only uses heals, buffs, and holy magic (not lightning). Without spoilers, in your opinion which spell type gets better spells in the dlc? Pyromancies, or holy spells?

2024.11.26 04:50 ssasharr [s2 spoilers] cried so hard I threw up
I just finished Season 2, and holy shit. Wasn't expecting that. I expected to lose Viktor, Vander, and even Jayce. But somehow I never expected to lose Jinx. I cried from episode 8-9, and somehow ended up throwing up. That slammed me so hard in the gut, the fact that there was no neat, bittersweet ending, but instead an abrupt and harsh, but not hopeless conclusion...it was such good writing, but my heart hurts 😭. I wanted so badly for Vi and Jinx to become family and work together again. Jinx's final hurrah, staving off her end for Ekko and decorating herself and her ship for a funerary sail absolutely killed me. She was my favorite character in the LoL franchise, and to see her reach her end is devastating. But she died happy for Vi and encouraging her to reach for her own future. And that's better than dying bitter and alone, I suppose. I know there's been som controversy around the ending, so what are your guys's thoughts? And did anyone else cry as hard as I did lmao. A few years ago my parents separated for a year. They ended up getting back together for a couple years, then last winter she got diagnosed with cancer, and she died from cancer this fall. Two months ago. Last week my dad told me that he cheated on my mom. But that’s not why they separated. He kept it to himself. And then when he couldn’t live with the guilt anymore he had a come to Jesus moment, broke it off with the mistress and told my mother. After my mom processed it, she decided to get back with him because at the end of the day she loved him. They didn’t want to tell us because they thought it would break the family apart. I don’t get along with my dad and our relationship has been very rocky so I understand why she didn’t want to tell me. But my entire perspective on life has been shattered. My parents have always been extremely honest with me even when it hurts. Honesty and loyalty were who my parents were. Now I learn that they lied to us? I’m not even mad at my mom I’m just crushed. I am pissed at my dad. And we have met the mistress she was his coworker. I am disgusted and angry. Then, tonight, he tells me he’s going to start dating again. It’s been TWO MONTHS. What the fuck. And guess who he’s going to ask out? The mistress. He’s already reached out to her. My heart is broken and my chest hurts and I feel like I’m going to throw up. Who is he? I genuinely never would have taken him as a man to cheat on his wife. I would’ve given my left foot to that. My mom and I felt that his “friendship” with his coworker was odd but we both didn’t think he’d ever physically escalate things. My image of my father is destroyed, my image of my mother has changed, my intuition and judgment is shattered, my perspective on good people is broken. I can’t believe he would do that to my mother. I don’t want to talk to him or look at him.
