I was seeking advice or help on my situation. When I was 16, I met my girlfriend, who was 14 at the time. Despite our two-year age difference, our families supported our relationship. Six months later, we moved in together and enjoyed a wonderful three and a half years of life together.
However, everything changed just before her 17th birthday and my 19th birthday. After a date night, we were pulled over by the police. During the stop, they found drugs on her and began harassing her, assuming the drugs were mine. As a result, she was taken to juvenile detention, while I was arrested for some traffic tickets.
While I was in custody, I discovered that the arresting officer had searched my phone without my consent. I didn’t realize they had the authority to do that, and I assumed there was nothing on my phone that would raise concern. A few weeks later, I was arrested for possession of child pornography due to pictures of my girlfriend. I was shocked; I never imagined this could happen to me. Ultimately, I received a five-year prison sentence and was released on parole, required to register as a sex offender. This situation has devastated my life.
Years have passed, and I recently found out that I may be eligible for relief under the Romeo and Juliet law. As I sit in prison typing this, I seek advice on how I can pursue justice and possibly undo the harm this has caused. I have statements from my girlfriend, her parents, and my parents, and I wonder if the system can truly be fair in such cases. Can it really ruin someone’s life like this? Has anyone else experienced illegal searches or similar situations that have drastically affected their lives?

Earlier this year I was planning on ending it, it was the night the album came out, i told myself I was gonna listen to it before hand and then kill myself, i got through each song, and was listening to what i thought was the final song i would listen to on earth, Hardstone national anthem, I have never had a song speak to me as much as this one did, that fucking song, SAVED my life, it was because of that song that made me realize that I had to keep pushing, and now this year has been shit, but I’ve met beautiful people, and made amazing memories, and to think that would’ve never happened, without Hardstone National Anthem. My ex n me dated for 6 years, she’d do things that would make me feel extremely suffocated n everything, she had turned our relationship so toxic that each time i managed to fix us, she would find a way to mess it. Today morning, i found out she has a man apparently n that she treats her right. You see i probably im not a man thats always correct, right, but i did put efforts to shape us. Now that i see her treating the other guy “right” puts me into so much self doubt n hate. She wouldnt even click pictures together, and there she .. does. And they look happy.
I do not miss her, i just dont. I dont like her but i dont hate her either but… only if… nvm.
Im a very nostalgic person n everything hurts me so much that where n what did i do wrong? I am doing alright lately but… i did the best w her, although she hurt me so much, i would push pass my limits to be the guy for her, now i just do it for the sake.
