two kids around 13-14 years of age were ruthlessly fighting almost an hour ago outside MPS Jawahar nagar and then one of them took out his belt and started hitting the other one on his face back and everywhere else so much that it started bleeding. I'm fed up with Altreno at this point. I have sensitive, oily skin that's prone to clogged pores but prior to starting Altreno at the end of September, I'd like to think my skin was looking pretty dang good. I finally had my routine sussed, my skin was relatively clear and my barrier was healthy, but then I got annoyed with the price of my ZO retinol and thought ... hey, tret is cheaper.
We know the situation for tret selection in Canada, so I took to reddit and found oodles of praise for Altreno, hailed as THE tret for sensitive skin. Emollient, spreadable, you don't even need to buffer it! I looked a little further and found skinsolutions on instagram and immediately ordered 2 tubes because how could I not love it?
I don't. I can't stop peeling and this is the first time in my adult life where I've had a tight, dry face. I've used retin-a before, I'm familiar with the adjustment period, but after trying various application methods (dry clean, moisturizer on top, sandwich method, twice a week, three times a week) and giving them weeks of trial, I'm over it. I know it's only been 2 full months, but I don't wanna give it any more months. I recognize I could be jumping ship wayyyy too early but I don't have it in me right now. It's so disheartening to read comments from tret users saying it's been a year and they're still peeling. I really, really wanted to love it because it seems like such a holy grail for so many others. 😥
