Hello! I'm currently too poor to see a mechanic right now, so I'm hoping for some advice on what to look for. I have an old gal I call Norma, it's a 97' ford festiva 1.5 and she's been acting up. If I'm idling for too long whilst in drive at a traffic light for example, it'll shut down the ability to drive, but the car still stays on, the oil light, brake light and fuel light will turn on, that's how I can usually tell it's happened. I can then usually turn it off and straight back on again without any troubles, However the other day when I tried turning her on, it would turn over but then instantly die out within seconds and it kept happening every time i tried, again the radio and lights are still on, but I couldn't drive and could barely get it into drive in time before it konked out.
I waited 2 hours to try again and it finally turned over and stayed in drive and allowed me to get home and then I didn't have any issues. I checked the oil, its fresh, the battery is brand new, I looked at the connections to the battery and they were all good, coolant levels are fine. No leaks anywhere, We put 98' premium fuel in it, to try and clean out any grime build up that might be in the fuel tank. It had been sitting in a workshop for years before I bought it, so it's got layers of grime and dust on everything.
The other thing is when I get to a certain high speed or hit the accelerator too fast it'll stay revving in a high gear, atleast that's what it sounds like to me and I can feel it's not right when I get past 80km/h up to 100km/h on the freeway.
Then again today, any time I was idling too long in drive and or when I put it into park it would konk out again, but I could turn it off and back on again and get going until it would do it again.
Anyone with ford festiva knowledge who knows what could be happening, any advice would be appreciated. It's giving me anxiety and I'm too scared to drive in case it turns off and I can't get it to start again and I'm at a traffic light on a busy main road, one of my biggest fears! đ€Ł

Achei sacanagem, né? E, sinceramente, não quero ficar com ele de novo por esses mesmos motivos.
Mas fiquei pensando... Primeiro, ele jĂĄ me apresentou pros pais e pra famĂlia, sempre faz questĂŁo de me incluir no contexto familiar (o que atĂ© acho fofinho, na real). Segundo, se ele quer sigilo, por que ele me leva pra lugares pĂșblicos, como lanchonetes, e me coloca na dinĂąmica da vida dele (tipo lojas da cidade, que Ă© pequena e tal)? SerĂĄ que ele nĂŁo percebe que as pessoas tĂȘm olhos e vĂŁo ver?
Enfim, queria saber o que vocĂȘs acham dessas atitudes dele, nĂŁo sobre o que eu deveria fazer, porque jĂĄ sei bem o que quero. Mas quero saber o que vocĂȘs pensam sobre ele e essas coisas todas.
P.S.: ele disse que nunca saiu com uma trans antes e sempre deixou isso claro (jĂĄ tivemos umas conversas sobre isso, mas nĂŁo vem ao caso).

unfortunately I personally I don't think RA had a fair trial even tho I was not there and am not privy to all the evidence. but I think not guilty. Confessions were under duress; the psychologist never disclosed her interest into the case and involvement in all the fb groups podcast etc. I mean how can you trust her credibility? I know she said she thought he was faking but idk how much you're faking if youre eating your own feces. For all we know she was feeding him your guilty and you just don't realize you did this rhetoric all day... also I know the psychologist had visited the bridge possibly several times; for all we know, Had she seen a van go down that rd (which is visible from the bridge) at some point one day when she was out there...? Did she feed this bit of info to RA? Then he included this small detail in one of his crazy confessions? I mean how can you trust any confessions he gave to her? Did she record her sessions with him, or do we just have to believe her word of what he said? Her credibility is gone in my opinion. Is it possible that somebody turned Libby's cell phone off... at 2 something then turned it back on at 4 something & placed it under Abby's body so it appeared it never moved after 2 whatever pm. Did the cellebrite expert ever testify & say if phone was powered off or on at certain times? Is there not such a thing as modern voice analysis? Even his seemingly coherent confessions to his family were to give them peace and he was broken and possibly brainwashed by that point. Too many questions, not enough answers. This case has never smelled right... maybe the guy talking to Libby off camera possibly the younger good looking guy everyone describes seeing at the bridge that day... plus they still haven't proved to me bridge guy was even actually the murderer I mean it seems likely but where's the proof.
