2024.11.26 09:29 PsychologyFar9780 Haven't changed my transmission fluid in 5 years, 100ks
I have a 2002 Toyota caldina automatic and I've never changed or flushed the transmission fluid. It's my first car, brought it 5 years ago at 180,000ks, still running fine with over 300,000ks on the odometer now.
Should I even bother charging or flushing the transmission at this point, I'm scared to touch it. đł
Thank you.

2024.11.26 09:29 Severe_Impression898 AITAH for ignoring my family and becoming independent
Since I was little I have had problems with my family, my mother had a drug problem and because of that she abandoned me and left me with my grandfather. They have taken care of me for a long time, the problem is that he has a "curious" character. My grandfather gets angry at everything, as if he were a little child, ignoring me and blaming me as if I were the cause of the problems.
On the other hand, my mother now calls me almost every day, bothering me and insisting that I tell her my life, but I simply don't want to, even though I do hold a grudge against her for many things, I don't mind, but I just don't want to. having to explain what I do or why I do it every day.
A few weeks ago I moved with close relatives since the university I wanted to study at was too far to go from my house. Here I feel much better, with less pressure and getting very good grades, but I really want to become independent and have my own house and my own life.
The problem with becoming independent (apart from the fact that I don't have the money to pay rent for now) is that my entire maternal family thinks it is wrong to leave.

2024.11.26 09:29 Sum1Uused2Kno Looks like its a wrap on the ol marriage.
Without goin into detail regarding the disturbing, heartbreaking news that got this wretched ball rolling...I (41m) am having--bar none--the worst week of my life. Wife and I are "seperating" the carrot dangled in perfect position--but I know whats up.
Now I gotta move in with my alcoholic, crazy mom...I love her but this is gonna be hell.
Thinking dark thoughts. I dont think I can do this. I dont want to. I love and want my wife but I guess im just a nothing. Man. This is torment. 2 weeks ago I seemingly had it all. Smh
I do everything right but im always wrong. God help me.
Thanks for listening to my vague, desperate rant.

2024.11.26 09:29 OktayAcikalin Immich cannot see local pictures on Android
Some time before immich would show local pictures and movies within the timeline. But now it won't. Even the local albums section is empty. I've given full filesystem access to it.
Any ideas how I can change this? Or is this intended behavior?

2024.11.26 09:29 mrbearteacher I copied Duolingo's style to teach speed reading
I'm a big fan of Duolingo and I've been building educational apps for a year now. Almost all of my users complained about UI/UX on my apps. So this time I wanted to use Duolingo as a reference. I've been teaching speed reading for years so I had the teaching content ready. Even the app name is Speed Readingo :)
The app is completely free, no ads and all data stored in device. I wanted to test out if its useful for people. If you're curious about speed reading I'd be super happy to teach one to one and get some feedback about the app

2024.11.26 09:29 PuddingComplete3081 I Don't Like When People Say 'You Should Have Everything Figured Out By Now'
Thereâs this phrase that seems to pop up every so often in conversations: âYou should have everything figured out by now.â And every time I hear it, something inside me just cringes. Itâs not that people mean to be hurtful, but the weight of those words carries a silent assumptionâthat by a certain point in life, we should have reached a place of certainty, of completion. But what does it mean to have everything âfigured outâ in the first place?
Maybe itâs the idea that adulthood comes with some kind of checklist, and once we tick off the boxesâcareer, relationships, financial stabilityâwe've "arrived." But is that really the goal? Is there a finish line to this journey?
I donât think so. Iâve come to realize that the process of figuring things out is the thing. Life is fluid and ever-changing, and so are we. Our dreams, values, and priorities shift over time, and thatâs okay. Itâs not failure to still be in transition, still exploring, still seeking meaning. In fact, Iâd argue itâs the most human part of usâthe continuous unfolding.
I donât like when people say âYou should have everything figured out by nowâ because it undermines the beauty of growth and learning. Weâre all on different paths, moving at different speeds, and maybe that's exactly how it should be. We shouldnât rush to have all the answers because in doing so, we might miss the most valuable lessonsâthe ones that come from the uncertainty, the not-knowing, and the willingness to evolve.
