I am looking to buy a proper charger to charge my solar battery during the winter. I have a 12.8v 150ah Ecoworthy battery in my workshop out back. I can't get enough sunlight to make heating my battery a viable solution. I'd like to charge it from my home AC power and bring it back out as needed.
I know of the proper battery chargers offered by companies like LiTime. I could get a simple 14.6v, 20a charger from LiTime and use the Anderson connector on my battery box to charge directly to the battery. But I was wondering if it would be better to take advantage of my Victron 75/15 solar charge controllers higher voltage capabilities instead.
What I mean is that I could get something like a 48v battery charger and send it through my charge controller and theoretically it's well within spec. This could get me a cheaper and faster charger if it worked fine. I have done this in a pinch with a 19v, 6a laptop charger with an Anderson connector attached. It functions fine if I limit my charge controller to 6a.
Is it a better idea to buy a charger made to charge a 12v battery directly, or a charger made for a higher voltage battery, sent through my solar charge controller which would convert it to the correct voltage for my battery?
If not for my hack job with the laptop charger I wouldn't have considered charging in this way. But now that I know it's possible the idea of a 48v charger at 10a is very enticing compared to a much more expensive 12v 40a charger that would charge at the same wattage.
Let me know if you have any thoughts or information that could be helpful. I know this is an unconventional idea, but on paper it is the better value solution. Since I have Anderson connectors for both my panels and my 12v output, I can charge direct to the battery or send power through the Victron charge controller. Both options are available, so it's really a matter of which is a better solution. Unconventional doesn't always mean bad, but it could be a terrible idea. I just need some external guidance before I buy anything. Thanks!
P.S. I included pictures so you can get an idea of my set up. This is with the battery and some wiring disconnected, but it is a portable box with everything housed inside.

Hi everyone.
Short version: We are fitting a wet underfloor system. The bungalow floors are about 60% concrete, and the rest are timber. We are starting at the concrete end first. The concrete was done in 1970 and isn't insulated. Well the walls aren't insulated, so I highly doubt that the floor is...
Here is what I was planning on doing. First seal with SBR, then a self level compound, then fit the insulated overlay panels, then a membrane, then tiles. Is this the best idea? I've read that some suggest a liquid DPM instead of SBR, though the floors seem bone dry. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Long version: We bought an old bungalow in Scotland. It's cold, very cold. Single glazed windows and the only insulation is in the loft. We are planning on new windows, external wall insulation, replacement flat roof in the extension etc etc. The most immediate thing is windows and getting rid of the old radiators and corroding copper pipes. So, like I said above, we are adding a high output wet underfloor heating overlay system to the concrete floor part of the house, once that's done we will move stuff over and then do the timber floor side. We will be ripping up the floorboards, strengthening joists if needed, vapour barrier, insulating, then fitting OSB or similar etc to bring it up to the same level and then overlay. Is this what you would do? The joists are solid. Really solid. I could just overboard then and then fit the ufh over that. Is the added hassle of ripping up the floorboards something you would do?
Again, any help is appreciated.

I posted a few days ago about blocking myself out of my own base. I decided to gather guns, ammo and explosives and force my way in.
I play vanilla PVP without added loot with double base HP, so it won't be an easy task.
I went to a few bases and found basically nothing - aside from clothes and gun parts only one SKS + 20ish rounds of ammo, FX45 + 15ish rounds, 2 gun cleaning kits and 2 frag grenades. That's from looting Kometa camp + millitary base to the north, Nadezhda, Stary Sobor and MBVMC combined.
This way I will either die or get bored way before I get enough guns, ammo and explosives to break through a wall. Where is the good stuff? I thought MBVMC was enough inland to find at least an AK and a few mags worth of ammo...
