...it's okay to not feel that instant love for your baby, and it's okay to have panic, fears and regrets for being a new parent.
If I could go back and give myself advice for the start of my parenting journey then it would be to go easy on myself and stop expecting things. When I had a newborn I spent so much time expecting to love him instantly when in reality it took a lot of time to grow that love to where it's at now where my boy is my whole world. I expected the next stage to be easier than the current one each time I reached a new stage when the reality is that the stage isn't easier, I just grew into my maternal instinct which I didn't know I had. I expected to be glad to be out of the newborn phase but now, looking back, there's so much I actually loved about it (I still having a mobile and interactive baby by far though!). I expected to be much more stoic with my emotions when in actual fact, I have days where I sit here and cry because I feel a failure - something I've not felt in years, and have always been able to shake off. I expected to understand how to juggle his needs and mine, and that managing relationships would be so much easier as my baby aged when the reality is that there are always good days and bad days with every relationship, and juggling needs is always tricky no matter what.
I didn't expect to love so hard, or to be an emotional mess a year on, or to be so okay with not having eaten properly for several days, or to really dislike my husband as much as I have sometimes. But somehow, I now accept it all. Parenthood is hard for any human, despite what social media can lead you to believe.
Whatever stage you're at, you're doing an amazing job if you're giving it your all or If you're worrying about anything - that's signa of a great parent. If you don't feel that love yet, don't worry*, it takes time sometimes. If you look like crap for weeks, don't stress. If you have an emotional meltdown in a baby class or when someone asks how you're finding it because you're burnt out, that's okay.
You're 'normal'. You're human. You're doing incredible.
*Although please reach out to a medical professional if you're feeling dark thoughts, suicidal thoughts, or deep negative feelings towards your baby, just in case it's something more than blues or general parenthood struggles. P.S If you need to vent about your struggle, please feel free in the comments - no judgement here.

I'm back with another free Zoom session series for Sec 3 students going to Sec 4 next year who are taking Chemistry. This is aiming to help you revise during the holidays and to prepare for your Sec 4 next year. I will also share some advice about what you can expect especially for Sec 4 next year.
If you haven't seen my previous posts, just some background about myself, have graduated, have been hosting free ZOOM crash courses and revision sessions for sec 3 and 4 students to help you (esp those who are weaker in your concepts or need to clarify your doubts)

In this session, I will also be sharing some tips on chapter for Acids & Bases as this was highly requested. Please note this will be the last session I am running for this round due to time constraint.
This is a completely free-for-all Zoom session for Sec 3 (in 2024) going to Sec 4. It is suitable for both PURE Chem and COMBINED Chem students. I have prepared a set of slide with questions (of increasing difficulty) for the lesson!

In need of some help, my laptop did a major update and install to windows 11 and I also bought a new phone and I transferred codes to my Google Authenticator so I went from using a Galaxy phone to a Motorola and guess what? The freaking Google Authenticator won't work, it's not taking the codes. Could it be that major update in windows 11? Or maybe because I switched to a Motorola phone? Or the transfering of the codes? Please anybody help!

 | Okay so I‘m a little bit lost here. These are autoflowers, I planted them on 2nd of November. From the get go these were rather slow growing, however the leaves have been turning yellow, curling down and dry since like week 2 or so. Soil is BioBizz Light Mix. Fertilizer is also BioBizz, I started fertilizing a week ago, with 50% of the recommended dose. I’ve also added CalMag. pH is around 6.0-6.5, watering schedule right now is about 500ml per day, every second day with fertilizer. Temperature around 26 degrees, humidity between 55% and 70%. Lighting schedule is 18/6, DLI around 35-40 right now and a ppfd of around 600. Also why is one of them triple the size of the other two???
