Sowieso ein sehr interessanter und erschreckender Artikel; zusätzlich bemerkenswert aber, dass sich diese abgründige und leider auch sehr reichweitenstarke Bubble offenbar vorzugsweise aus Typen wie „Vermietertagebuch“, „Aktien mit Kopf“, „Politik mit Kopf“, „Steuern mit Kopf“, „Oli investiert“ oder „Kettner Edelmetalle“ rekrutiert.
Mein Eindruck ist schon seit längerem, dass es zumindest teilweise folgende Entwicklung gibt:
Good case:
Start: Ich habe keine Ahnung von Finanzen, der nette Onkel von der Sparkasse macht das schon
→ Hm, Finanzen sind ja irgendwie schon ein wichtiges Thema → Ich sollte mich mal informieren was eigentlich hinter Aktien, Versicherungen, Altersvorsorge usw. steckt → Holy Shit, das ist ja total spannend, und was der Onkel von der Sparkasse mir angedreht hat macht ja gar nicht maximal Sinn → Hey, ich glaube wenn ich mich da ein bisschen reinhänge kann ich meine Finanzen tatsächlich selber managen! → Gral! → Juhu, ich habe Verantwortung für mein Leben übernommen und freue mich auf die Erträge in den kommenden Jahrzehnten, vielleicht ist ja sogar ein früherer Renteneintritt drin! Das mit den Steuern ist schon irgendwie blöd, aber wie sagt man so schön: "Ich zahle gerne Steuern — ich kaufe mir davon Zivilisation".
Bad Case:

Ich bin doch nicht blöd! Die fließen doch zu 99% eh nur in Politikergehälter! → Neues Social-Media Profil: "Nicht links, nicht rechts, benutze deinen eigenen Verstand" → Auswandern nach Malle/Zypern/Asien/Südamerika → DiE BaErBoCk WiLl DeN DrItTeN WeLtKrIeG StArTeN!!!
Ok, die Abfolge im Bad Case macht eigentlich keinen Sinn, ich scheitere einfach daran dass ich mich nicht in die Köpfe dieser Tüppen versetzen kann.
Aber irgendwas läuft da gewaltig schief.

I've been at my current job (civil eng industry) for a couple years now and I think it's well time I left this place due to poor management and lack of professional development. I'd really like to find another job, but I'm also planning to travel next year for 6-8 months. Does it make sense to join another job only to take such a long leave so soon, or power through until I plan to travel then come back and look then?

I really hated this feature on Facebook at the best of times and I was sick of getting triggered every time it would “remind” me of a memory of us. Turns out there’s a way to turn it off!
In your “Memories” settings, scroll down and you’ll have the option to not receive memory reminders from a set date range, for which I’d set the duration of our relationship.

...Gillette Silver Blue, that is.
I decided the Persona Permasharp wasn't for me. I have a family dinner with my mother's partner's people coming in. So might as well have a clean shave. Nothing else will be styled or groomed... So I loaded up a Gillette Silver Blue from the sample pack. I was going to try a Bic next. But a local barber supplier carries Blues instead.
I managed to put it in my Henson without the comical mistakes I am known for. Sorry folks. But try the veal.
My impressions compared to the Persona was "smooth". The Blue glides where the Permasharp grinds. It left far less residual stubble on the WTG and XTG passes. Possibly too smooth. I got complacent. There were a few tiny dots on the side of my jaw and one little bleeder right under a nostril. Likely more a technique than equipment issue.
I will say there was much less stubble on my jawline compared to the Permasharp. Stubble there drives me nuts. So I might shave too much there. The Blue did well enough that I did not have to do the equivalent of plucking blades of grass from a freshly mowed lawn like a Florida retiree ready to haul out the shotgun when Karen's shih tzu craps on it one more time--
There was less sting from the alum on the jaw. Though I had to hold it on the bleeder under my nostril to avoid the anime-protagonist-walking-in-on-his-waifu-naked look. There is certainly a fair bit of tingle on the jaw when I went outside. Although that could just be the menthol in the Proraso Green reminding me that it is a Montreal winter.
Definitely a contender.
