I could NOT solve this. I had CORS enabled and working as long as the POST returned void (ASP.NET 4.0 - WEBAPI 1). When I tried to return a HttpResponseMessage, I started getting the HTTP 405 response. Based on Llad's response above, I took a look at my own references. I had the attribute [System.Web.Mvc.HttpPost] listed above my POST method. MethodNotAllowedEquivalent to HTTP status 405. MethodNotAllowed indicates that the request method (POST or GET) is not allowed on the requested resource. The problem is in your enpoint uri is not full or correct addres to wcf - .scv Check your proxy.enpoint or wcf client.enpoint uri is correct. I have a very simple API created using ASP.NET Core 2.1. When a client page calls the API from localhost:8080, the API located at localhost:5000 returns HTTP:405. Why? Note that the HTTP GET test method in AuthController.cs works just as expected. It is only the HTTP POST request returning HTTP:405. Controllers\AuthController.cs As some others pointed out, you aren't just allowed to just forward data to other endpoints with a post request. On non hacky way around this without any plugins is to use the rewrite method. Basically all this method does is rewrite part of the URL however it also has the property that it doesn't throw a 405 on POST requests. Any header I add (except the content-type header) causes the same error: "Response for preflight has invalid HTTP status code 405." This is true in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc. Specifically, I need to add the Authorization header for account validation for a service I need to connect with. I've been trying all the suggested workarounds for ASP.NET to be able to address my REST web service by HTTP Methods PUT and DELETE. However, none of them seems to work. (i.e. removing WebDAV handl... "the 405 status code is sent in the response to the OPTIONS request, not your POST request" this part I knew, but I was under the impression that browsers send pre-flights for all post requests. "if the Content-Type header has a value other than the following:..." this part I didn't know. Im getting this error: HTTP Status 405 - Request method 'POST' not supported. What I am trying to do is make a form with a drop down box that get populated based on the other value selected in another drop down box. The 405 you were getting was due to the fact that you've only defined @GET on the method. As for not returning anything, what are you using to test results? Perhaps you'd like to use TDD for this since Jersey has its own test framework. Also, I think you're using an older version of Jersey. – I've had this happen (405 method not allowed) when the web api post method I was calling had primitive types for parameters, instead of a complex type that was accessed from the body. Right, here goes…please bear in mind that I’m remembering something from 45 or so years ago so may not be totally accurate.
When I was young, I had a small picture story book that I loved. Each page had beautiful illustrations and a small amount of text. I don’t think the text was particularly big font and looking back, it feels like the book was aimed at those who were reading already - not those who were new to reading. Being small, the book wasn’t designed to be shared as large picture books for toddlers etc might be.
The story was about a boy (possibly called Kevin) who’d gone on a camping trip with his family. Every time he tried to help or join in, he’d make a mess of things and the others would get mad at him. For example, he tangled his dad’s fishing tackle. So he spends a lot of time doing his own thing and observing nature. When they go on a family hike, they get lost but because he has been taking note of his surroundings during their trip, he is able to lead them back to their camp - winning their praises.
Although I wouldn’t have noticed it at the time, looking back, it had the feel of a family living in the US and the clothes they were wearing were from the 50s or 60s maybe. I would’ve been reading it in the mid 70s.
I don’t know if this rings any bells with you but if anyone can suggest a name/author, I would be really grateful. Thanks!

My boyfriend of 2 years is a closeted degenerate and I confronted him about it today. When we first met, he truly seemed normal and we bonded over anime and games. Little did I know that he was a fan service anime enjoyer, watching things like Rent A Girlfriend and Highschool DxD. He also played Genshin Impact, which is fine with me, but then after going to his house, I found out he has a pretty sexual mousepad of one of the characters and he also had her saved as his phone background before we started dating. Months after dating though, he decided to get rid of the mousepad and changed his phone background, as well as stop playing Genshin entirely, up until a few days ago. He told me that he missed playing gacha games and told me that he was thinking about playing Genshin again. I was not happy about him getting into the game again considering I literally found naked images of the girls he plays in the game on his computer, so I confronted him and told him that I didn’t want him playing a game he “goons” to. He told me that he doesn’t think like that anymore and that it was because he was single at the time. So whatever, I give him my permission to play but then as of recently he’s been playing with a friend that’s new and I guess he’s been super thirsty for the female characters. So much so that my boyfriend thought it was funny and kept telling me things like “wow I didn’t know (friend) was such a degen”. It was getting so bad that today after playing with him again, my boyfriend said “I can’t believe he doesn’t understand that they’re just pixels” and I replied with “You’re one to talk, you literally obsessed over those characters too and other anime girls” He got mad at me and told me how he doesn’t do that anymore and that it’s not respectful to do in a relationship, but it still doesn’t excuse that he was a degenerate before and engaged in that behavior. It just sucks because him and I used to make jokes in the beginning of our relationship about things like this, but now I only see him as a hypocrite. I told him all of this and now he’s apparently “hurt” that I think so low of him, but I feel like he’s the asshole for trying to judge his friend for the same things he used to do, and just because he’s stopped doesn’t make him any better than his friend since he’s had the same mentality in the past. Am I the asshole for lashing out at him?

I'm about the finish painting my first 1k army and want to slow do expanding to 2k. Before I start the slow expansion do you think this is a good list to aspire to? The 1k list is the one I already own. I got that one mostly by just getting models I wanted to paint for fun, but now I want to make it a bit more competitive. Due to 40k being more expensive than gold I want/need to slow down my collecting. I just don't have enough table top experience to judge if the 2k list is good yet. I fully expect that I'll get more ideas as I play, but I think I'll get more models before I get more experience due to the holidays. This just means that I'd like to know if I made any grievous mistakes on my list before I buy that mistake
