Hello everyone, I read a book several years ago that I believe is in the young adult supernatural genre and I can not remember the title for the life of me.
It follows a boy and he finds some sort of artifact I believe is an orb and some sort of reaper starts to haunt him. A few scenes that stood out was him running through a school in the summertime and this entity chasing him. He then goes to stay with his friend and this reaper or entity haunts him the whole time that is around this lake house setting and town while the main character gets close to a girl he ends up having a relationship with. I believe there’s also a significant scene in the woods where they think they find someone with information then this person ends up dying and the main characters get in a serious car accident.

I have known of this show because I was looking for a series like Cruel Summer. It has high review on Rotten Tomatoes so I said why not watch. I like how the series starts but became so dragging on the last 3 episodes I skip a lot of scenes because Rebecca was so fucking annoying about the case and how they focus on Warren being a victim of circumstance. How could she write a book in favour of the killer? This book shouldn’t be popular in the first place and it really sucked that it became a series. My heart goes out for the Virk family. You don’t deserve this.

2024.11.26 15:40 kaiser1025 New iPhone 16 Pro user here. My brother [iPhone 8] had physical access to my unlocked iPhone. He's 4 months clean, and I would like to know just how MUCH I can trust him again, before I just fully reset the iPhone. I've checked several settings listed in this thread, but could there be any others?
When I got my phone back, it was in my text messages, with no other apps launched. I'm aware that the TYPE of sound doesn't matter, as these can all just be changed to whatever somebody wants. Have I missed anything from this list?
- Checked for VPN profiles, changes to saved wifi networks
- Checked the following accessibility options:
- Assistive Touch
- Switch Control
- Live Listen
- Guided Access
- VoiceOver
- Checked bluetooth settings, made sure it was only me who was logged into my Apple ID account
- Checked call settings such as call forwarding and recent calls
- Wifi settings; I forgot and reconnected my phone to wifi
- Checked my Google account and nothing new had been logged into
- No new emails in any of my inboxes, including spam
- Nothing in my "trash" texts. No numbers blocked.
- No new mail accounts added. No mail settings changed. No forwarding enabled.
- Obviously, changed my password, PIN, etc
- App usage report is useless in this scenario, since I had messages on anyway
Am I missing anything? I'm not going to go into a backstory because this isn't the sub for that. I am 100% aware that I can simply reset all settings. I would like to do my due diligence as to whether his excuse of "he just wanted to hold my brand new iPhone 16 pro max because he still have an iPhone 8" is legit. I know how to resolve this with a guarantee, but I would truly love to know that I can trust my brother, as he is a recovering addict. (no judgement here. We are very supportive of him. I would not yell at him or even confront him. I would like to know just how MUCH I can trust my family after his 4 months of sobriety.)
My guess - the powering down sound was my music in the background being stopped. But this likely occured when he swiped away all of my notifications, including what he may have opened.
The only thing that really comes to mind now is obtaining a 2FA code for something. Anybody have any other ideas? I would love it so much if his "I just wanted to hold it" reason - albeit extremely sus and lame - was true.

Hey y'all, basically the title really.
I don't like how slow and unresponsive the base UI is and I mostly use retroarch anyways, so wanted to figure out if there's a way to just go straight into it from boot. Couldn't find any solution online.
I know there's no option in the base Crossmix, but maybe using a modified boot script would work? Idk how this all works, really.

So, after much searching through here and the DTG forums for a potential solution to my issue, I am utterly stumped. First off, my pc is as follows:
Ryzen 5600x Amd RX 6750 XT 32 GB DDR4 3200
The issue I’m having is that upon installing the windows store gamepass version of TSW 5 running DX11, I encountered significantly reduced performance compared with TSW4 (which used DX12 until an update earlier this year). We’re talking 6-7 second long freezes with frametime in the 1000s, and fps performance in the teens and 20s no matter my graphics settings and resolution.
Decided to buy and test the steam version using DX12, despite having most of my collection on Xbox and windows store, and found that the freezing was nearly completely eliminated. I could crank the graphics up and performance was very solid and along the lines of previous windows store versions. Easily an extra 30 fps on average over the DX11 version.
This is extremely frustrating. I don’t want to have to rebuy my entire collection on steam. I can’t afford that. I can just play on series x but I built a gaming PC after buying most of my routes and was thrilled to find they were play anywhere. I can’t run the windows store version in DX12, as command line parameters don’t work. There seems to be nothing I can do.

Flying to London from Mauritius on MK42 and nervous not least because our seats are right at the back of the plane - I heard that you feel the turbulence more there but praying that’s not true?
