Hi all,
I've spoken to Harrow Health by phone before, but as of lately haven't been able to get through at all. I've sent three emails and phoned five times, currently been waiting 45 minutes on the phone, no luck. I'm a bit worried because they never confirmed receipt of my forms and now seem to have gone dark (and also raised their estimated waiting times without notifying us). Seems kind of bad for an NHS provider? even my GP would pick up the phone if I rang 5 times!
Has anyone got through to them recently? Any suggestions?

A vet has already drained it once, and they want $3000 for a whole other lump, even though this one hasn’t healed almost a year later. Could this be his microchip or is it possibly a cyst?
WARNING! This will be quite a long post because I want to give proper context, so please bare with me. This is my childhood dog (cocker spaniel, 10 year old male) and he lives with my parents in GA. A while ago he started to form a small lump on his shoulder, and at the time they were not too concerned because that’s where his microchip is, but then it grew bigger over time. They live in the middle of nowhere, so they took him to the next closest vet to them. According to my parents, the vet cut it open and drained it. They thought the problem was fixed, but it never healed and the lump came back worse. My parents took him back to the vet for a follow-up to see why this happened. My dad asked them about his microchip because it was located around the same shoulder blade. They brushed him off and said they didn’t see one, and completely disregarded that his lump they cut into has still not healed. The vet proceeded to “inspect” a lump near his chest that we are not nearly as concerned about nor asked them to look at, and had the audacity to ask for $3000 to cut into that one. The vet did not offer my parents a solution for his now worsened lump, and my parents pretty much told them to fudge off. My dad loves this dog too much to put him through that again just for them to mess up again and make it worse. I feel like this vet thought they could rob my parents from thousands of dollars, and would rather worsen things for more money in their pockets. After that experience, my parents have been too scared to take him to another vet because they don’t want someone else to make it worse. My dad has taken care of it at home for almost a year now, and cleans the area every time it bleeds or leaks. I didn’t know it looked this bad until my dad brought him to FL to stay with me for the month while he’s out of town. I realized while I cleaned the area that I do not feel his microchip anywhere, and I specifically remember it on his right shoulder blade, EXACTLY where his lump is. I asked my dad about it & that’s when he mentioned that it’s something he brought up to the vet, and they claimed they never saw it. The thing is- we 100% would’ve noticed his microchip come out of his skin, and not once did that happen. We’re worried the vet didn’t actually check for his microchip before they cut into + drained the lump. The other possibility is that his microchip moved to his chest, which would explain the second lump located there. I’ve seen a couple post about dog cysts that come back unless properly removed by a vet. I know this is an issue for a vet, but that’s when the problem worsened. I’m actually very fond of the vet clinics in my area, and would love to get him an appointment to one. Unfortunately, they’re all booked over a month out and he will be out of my care by then. I’m going to try to convince my dad to let him stick around until I can take him to one of the clinics here. Has anyone else been through this experience? I just want to know what my possible options are, and if it could be something else besides a cyst or his microchip.

How do you feel about situational SFXs for narrative purposes (environmental sounds, laughing, sounds of interaction with objects, etc.) in VNs? Is it something you must have in the game for a better immersion, or does it do quite the opposite for you: breaking any immersion? I’m currently making a game (some of you might have noticed it by certain posts I did), and there’s a certain number of standard SFXs for different situations. We’ve got some feedback for the game: some people wanted more SFXs, and some criticized the SFXs that were already in the game. So, I wanted to get a specific discussion concerning SFXs. What do you think? How many or few effects should there be? Etc. Anything you can contribute is welcomed and would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Le seul hic c'est qu'elle a 145 000 km. Ich hoffe Flair und Kennzeichnung sind richtig.
Jedenfalls war ich gestern Zeuge eines Wildunfalls und ich komme gar nicht drauf klar. Das Fahrzeug vor uns hat ein Reh angefahren welches dann verletzt aber noch lebend auf der Gegenfahrbahn liegen geblieben ist. Wir sind angehalten und ausgestiegen, die Fahrerin die das Reh angefahren hat, war erst Mal richtig erschrocken. Die Fahrerin hinter uns ist auch ausgestiegen und hat sich dann um die unfallfahrerin gekümmert und die Polizei gerufen.
Ich wollte das Reh von der Straße holen. Mein Partner wollte dafür noch schnell Handschuhe aus dem Auto holen und jetzt kommen wir zu dem Teil der mich nicht loslässt: ein Auto kam entgegen und ich hab noch gewunken damit dieses anhält. Hat es auch. Nur um dann mittig über das Reh zu fahren. Weil sein Auto aber nicht hoch genug war, hat er es noch mit geschliffen. Danach hat das Reh immer noch gelebt.
Ich weiß nicht wie ich so ruhig bleiben konnte, aber als der weg war bin ich hin und hab das Reh von der Straße geholt. Danach kam zum Glück ein Jäger und hat das Tier erlöst.
Ich weiß nicht was ich hätte besser machen können. Selbst wenn ich direkt Handschuhe gehabt hätte, der Typ hat ja nicht Mal mit mir kommuniziert, er hätte nur noch ein paar Sekunden warten müssen. Der hat mich nicht Mal angeschaut.
Jetzt kann man sagen es ist nur ein Reh aber wie der da drüber gefahren ist und das unten am Unterboden hängen geblieben ist, die Geräusche..... Das lässt mich einfach nicht los. Wie geht man mit sowas um?
