2024.11.26 15:36 emilianna555 Was up scrolling this sub in the middle of the night. Are my sxs chronic gastritis?
I have an apt with a regular Dr. in 2ish months. I have a burning sensation off and on throughout the day and sometimes night. It’s in the upper middle part of abdomen in 3 different spots. Depending on what I eat I will get shooting pains in upper middle. I unfortunately could probably compete in a belching contest. Sometimes bloating, depending on what I consume but not all the time. The symptoms are daily and I’m guessing for about 6 months now. No nausea though.
I’m definitely lactose intolerant, but this happens with drinking alt. Milk lattes, fried food, sugar, and just a lot of stuff. Do I need to start the bland diet before I see a Dr.? Hoping someone will provide their opinion, which I realize is not medical advice, but appreciated by me anyway.

Hello fellow Colorado Springs residence!
As many of you may know natural medicine is a talking point at today's city council meeting with a majority of the energy behind that to be to restrict access and deny the will of the people the opportunity to reclaim tomorrow.
While we have several people seated who are fighting for our rights to find a better tomorrow there are those with their own agendas hell-bent on ignoring the changing tides. There are several things on the agenda today and the natural medicine discussion is hidden in there under topic 11. They should be addressing this at about 10:30.
If you have found any healing through natural medicines or know somebody who has been able to find a healthier version of themselves please come out and let your voice be heard. I'm encouraging people to show up at 10:00 so that we can make sure our presence is seen and our voices heard.

A couple years ago my team was subcontracted for one specific regional part of a global project, everything went well and once our work was delivered we never interacted with them again.
They just won a major prize for the project as a whole, which is fantastic, but got me wondering if/how we could represent that in our resumes - if at all?
I assume we can't just list the award itself, but maybe could as "part of an 'xxxx award' winning team responsible for
Thoughts?

Limit turkey size to <15 lbs, if you need more meat buy two birds. Two 15lb turkeys fit on a Silverbac (Google says 507 in^2 cooking rack)
Spatchcock Turkey, including removal of breast bone. (Reserve neck, giblets and spine for stock)
24 hours before cook start dry brine the bird using 2/3c Kosher Salt, 1T Black Pepper, 2T Garlic Powder, 2T Brown Sugar.
Remove bird from cooling area 45-60 minutes before cook start.
Rub marjoram butter compound between the skin and the flesh.
350 degrees 10 minutes/pound, target breast temp 150 degrees.
Rest bird under double sheet of aluminumum foil.
Regarding pellets, I continue to rely on the PitBoss Competition Blend that is cheap at Lowe's, works for us, but you do you.

I used to watch PBS Kids a lot when I was a kid. Around the time I stopped watching it and the torch was passed to my younger sister (which was around 2019 or 2020), I remember a new series being constantly advertised that I never was interested in. Here's what I remember:
- It was a puppet show similar to Sesame Street or something like that. I don't think it was made by Jim Henson, though. I never watched it, so I don't know if they incorporated people with the puppets as they do in Sesame Street, but I never saw people in any of the ads.
- The title was one nonsense word. Probably had some double letters in there.
- There was a panda involved somehow. Either there was a panda puppet, or the title sounded like the word "panda", I don't know. The show is associated with pandas in my mind even though I'm not sure why.
- One of the characters was a purple puppet that I think was part hand puppet and part marionette. That thing was featured in a lot of the ads.
- I think the characters lived in a Candyland-like world. Something bright and colorful with spirals.
- The ads were quick and numerous. Basic formula: a character from the show would appear, and then to a montage of clips from the show say "I'm (CHARACTER NAME), and I'm from (NAME OF THE SHOW), which is going to be on this station starting (DATE). Stay tuned!" The date was always the same, of course. I think it was in December.
- You could easily see the puppet's strings, which was a frequent point of mockery for me. I remember thinking, "Wow, Don't Hug Me I'm Scared looks better than this, the 'real thing'."

She's apparently been there a few days and the neighbour has been checking in on her. What can we do to help? Reluctant to alert social services and get her stuck in the cycle of being punted from horrible place to horrible place, but with temperatures dropping again soon I'm so concerned for her.
