I(22M) was talking to this young lady(21F) for about a month(Not sure whether you guys would call this casually dating or talking but i call it talking). We met at a parking garage near the nightlife area of our city, ended up hitting it off and exchanging contact info. We went on a couple dates, things were going smoothly although there were some red flags(She doesn’t take school seriously, not very ambitious, hasn’t been in a stable relationship). On our third date(Friday), we ended up going out to eat, went to the arcade, and watched a movie at her place. We fooled around a bit during the date, I gave her oral and she came a few times. Throughout that process, i asked her if she was comfortable doing this and she said yes. She reached in my pants a few times but I backed off and didn’t want things to go that far as I was really trying to not make it seem like I was using her and just wanted the pleasure to be focused on her. I assumed that would make her feel more comfortable around me and show her I care about her. At least according my past experiences, I know a lot of men don’t really satisfy or care for the needs of women in the bedroom so I was hoping she’d see that I do care for her needs and want to make sure she’s satisfied without feeling obligated to return the favour.
The next day(Saturday), I had plans to go clubbing in a city an hour and a half away with a few friends. She was aware of this and during the night she sent me a photo asking if she looks good(she also went out with her friends). I tell her she looks nice and she asks, “just nice?”, then I reply, “ofc you look better than nice. Thought my actions and how crazy I am about you have proven that.” She replies, “you’re just horny.” I didn’t see this specific text when she sent it but we continued our conversation afterwards for a bit. The day after the club(Sunday), I reread our texts(just something I do) and see the “you’re just horny” text. I ask her if that’s how she really feels about me and why? She tells me that’s how she really feels and goes on to say that she’s not used to having a guy please her like that after such a short amount of time talking. It made her a bit uncomfortable and feel like she was being used. She feels as though we’re rushing things, doesn’t want to feel like I’m using her for her body and she would like us to refrain from things like that until she’s more comfortable. I apologize for making her feel that way and promise her that we’ll take things slower. She continues and asks if I can be more communicative in the future. She doesn’t feel like I’m texting her enough and would like me to check in with her more and put more effort in communication. I didn’t text her till about 3 PM the day after the club because I was drunk and didn’t get home till like 10AM and she didn’t like that I texted her so late. I tell her I’ll work on it from now on.
She opens the floor to me and asks if I’d like to discuss anything we’ve been speaking about. I tell her I don’t think that’s for the best because I don’t think she’ll see my point of view. She promises to try to see it from my perspective so Im just like screw it. Im a bit annoyed and in my eyes the red flags are really starting to pile up and I say to myself I don’t really have anything to lose, might as well get a gauge on her emotional intelligence and if she’s as level headed as I’m praying to seven heavens she is, I’ll continue this conversation, seeing where it leads and hopefully it won’t lead to an argument. I say “It’s kind of strange that you think I’m using you for your body when 1. The pleasure was focused on you 2. Anything that could have led to you doing anything sexual to me, I shut down. It’s like if you gave me head, didn’t ask for anything in return, made me come 3 times in a row and then the next day I say to you, ‘I feel like you’re using me for my body and we should take things slower.’’ Although id have every right to draw that line in the sand, it’s still a bit silly and it’s hard for me to take this conversation very seriously, I think this is a bit comical. Also I asked you before hand if you were comfortable with things going that far and now you’re flipping the script on me, that’s very weird and honestly a huge red flag. How am I certain in the future you’ll say you’re comfortable with having sex, then text me the next day and say you were uncomfortable with it? That would be me playing a very dangerous game with you and I’m not sure if I like my odds. But at the end of the day, if you feel uncomfortable, it is what it is and I’ll make sure we take a step back from anything sexual from now on. To address your issue with my communication, I was really drunk last night and didn’t wake up till 3PM so that’s why I didn’t text you earlier. You know I have a busy schedule. I call you nearly everyday and text you often. Anything more would be like we’re boyfriend and girlfriend. I don’t understand why I have to check in on you like you’re my girlfriend when you’re talking to other guys and you’re not leading by example. I don’t see you checking in and telling me where you’re going. There’s nothing wrong with you talking to other guys, we’re not dating and because we’re not dating, I don’t think it’s a reasonable request to expect me to check in and constantly message you like we are dating(to me dating is boyfriend and girlfriend). I also took the day off work on Friday(when we went on our third date) to spend time with you. But again, if that’s what you want me to work on, I’ll try to do it.” The conversation didn’t go exactly like this, but this is the gist of it. I know I was a bit rude but again, at this point I’m already annoyed. Doesn’t justify it, but I’m not perfect. She ends up saying I’m making her feel bad for being uncomfortable and says she has no problem not texting other guys. I tell her it’s not about her texting other guys, it’s the principle of her expecting boyfriend duties from me when you’re not leading by example. Shes not checking in with me and telling me what she’s up to. She was also at the club with her friends, I didn’t get a check in and the only things we talked about while we were texting that night were trivial. She says she’s not really asking for much, nor is anything she said weird. She didn’t like the fact I used the word “silly” to describe the way she was feeling. In her eyes, I was making a joke about what she was saying and invalidating her feelings. I reiterate that I was going to do what she asked but at the end of the day, you asked for my perspective, and I have a right to my opinion on the matter the same way she has the right to draw a line with what she’s comfortable and uncomfortable doing. I do understand that it’s equally about what is being said as it is about the way you say it. So I’m taking full responsibility for my rudeness.
Long story short, she ends up getting mad and says she’s done with me. Apparently, I have a problem fulfilling these simple needs of hers, so in her eyes, it’s a waste of time to move forward. Im not really mad about it, I think I dodged a bullet. I’m just wondering if what I was saying really that outlandish? Let me know guys, and if anything doesn’t make sense or if you want more details, I’ll try my best to cater to that.

So it cost me 600$ if I do it on enterprise so if I use my Amex Plat will i get 600x5X = 3000 points as Amex Plat is 5x if you book the rental on the company website directly and If I am using a cashback site like Rakatun which is 5X now so I will get 600x5X = 3000 points from there as I am getting Amex Points from Rakatun. I'd never played this TCG since I downloaded the app. Since then I've learned how to play, and almost completed all of the challenges of the Expert Solo Battles (I've beaten all the battles, but not all the challenges).
The next logical step seems to be PvP, but I assume any real person is going to be a FAR better player than even the strongest AI opponent.

I'm devastated to receive the results of my soil test and learn that I have high levels of lead and copper. I'm in the Paris suburbs, it's not terribly surprising, but my garden plans are crashing and burning. Anyone have resources on how to get rid of the lead and copper? I know some plants extract them, and I know that some amendments can help, but I'm not sure if there's any real hope in ever having a garden here.
I was planning to have a mini permaculture garden... now what?

2024.11.26 15:40 dadoftriplets Is there a problem with supply of Goodyear tyres at the moment?

Bit of an odd question but does anyone know if there is a problem with the availability of Goodyear Vector 4 gen 3? My usual go to place (Costco) says they are out of stock with no restock date available and searching online for other physical locations, no-one seems to have any Goodyear vector 4's listed (in the size I need at least - Goodyear Vector 4 G3 205/60/16 96V XL) The problem I have is my drivers side front tyre has a slow puncture which I've been told cannot be repaired due to the location of the puncture, and so will mean I'll need replace of both of the front tyres primarily because they are all season tyres and a different in tread depth will affect the aquaplaning resistance BUT I can't find the right size and speed/weight rating for my car.
What do I do if I can't find the right tyre anywhere? Keep pumping up the old one every day/other day until they come in or can I mix the Goodyear rears with Michelin Cross Cilmate 2 as they are an all season tyre as well?
