I am a grade/year 12 student studying abroad and will be joining Uni at the start of 2026. I have always been confident in my choice for studying economics and philosophy either as B.econs/BA philosophy or PPE/something quantitative at ANU since I have interests in fields like public policy and in topics like investing and private equity. From my knowledge economics is a common degree to pursue finance related jobs like investment banking and consulting in the UK and US however based on other threads on this subreddit there seems to be a consensus that economics degrees have less job prospects and bcom is generally the preferred route for high finance.
I was just wondering what I should expect if I want to pursue a career in the finance industry with an econs/PPE degree and if I would be better of looking at commerce.

Hello family, I recently read that some SLOTH who have been there for a very long time think that the community is not active enough to raid posts on X to do our own marketing on the networks.
I agree with them, the devs always showed us that it was up to us to manage and make efforts on the community and marketing aspect. However, in my opinion we are not organized enough to do things correctly. I submit the following proposal to the moderation team: -Raids organized every day at the same time, in addition to spontaneous raids on reddit -Return of a donation campaign for the community marketing fund, I think many brothers and sisters in our large family would be willing to donate a small amount to help with marketing, I would be one of them. -As well as activities to promote cohesion and strengthen our community, for example private poker tournaments between SLOTHS or activities, small tournaments of video games !! I bet there are League of legends or Valorant players here for example ! Or call of duty ! Anything that could make the community more lively.
If we want people to participate and make efforts for the community it is important to join forces and work together so that we are all moving in the same direction.
Once again this is just my opinion and I hope the moderation team will see this message and take it into account

Nagets ko lang kung pano maggawa ng websites using HTML, JavaScript, and PHP. Now, I can’t clearly see myself as a in the future which makes me anxious if I am in the right path.
