I am helping a burning man camp clean up some gear. They have some wool rugs that need a good clean. They actually aren't as bad as you would like as they were kept inside a tent with a floor but they need more than a vacuum. Also they are in storage so they would need to be cleaned off-site. Any good local suggestions?

I wash my 2c/3a curls twice a week. My hair has low porosity and is heavy, dry, and frizzy. The CGM method tames the frizz and makes it look great…. for exactly one day 😅 By day 2, the frizz and dryness starts coming back, though has gotten a bit better since I switched to silk pillowcase. If I moist my hair and refresh with leave in and gel, it looks ok for 1 hour and then becomes even more frizzy and dry. By day 3 I have to either tie it up or wash it again. Any tips on how I can make them last longer? Tried cowash… but results in lot of scalp build up :/

I have been looking at different enterprise blockchain solutions and found something technically fascinating. Instead of building whole new chains, some projects are using Bitcoin's security creatively - pinning their state to the Bitcoin chain periodically.
The technical approach is neat. Private business chains running fast transactions, but using Bitcoin as a security checkpoint. Like having your own highway but with Bitcoin's security guards. Aeternity made it work by adding state channels and their own VM for business logic - pretty clever implementation. What's cool is the security model - it's not trying to compete with Bitcoin's security (like most projects do), but actually using it. Makes you think about other ways we could leverage Bitcoin's massive hashpower beyond just transactions.
Has anyone looked into similar security models? Curious about potential attack vectors when using Bitcoin as a security layer this way.

In the pictures I placed red arrows to show the entry way going out of Houstons and going into CVS. And then I circled the only dumpster I could find where Biz explains at which point he found himself on the ground. Which lines up with how he made his way into the CVS. And then the red X is only my own assumption of where their path went through. Right above the X are two landscape rock sections of the parking lot. 2024.11.26 16:29 Artistic_Rat I met someone… and now I want a child
So, after meeting my current partner then realising I needed to leave my now ex-partner (we’re all polyamorous) and going through a massive transformation on a spiritual level and basically having almost all my life flipped over, I realised that I’m actually a fence-sitter, not child-free.
I thought I was pregnant because of a positive test but a blood test confirmed that I’m not, nonetheless I was filled with giddiness and like a wave of calm washed over me… I was happy with the thought of being pregnant and I really wanted it. I was genuinely upset that the blood test came back negative, because beside the whole life transformation, I also am disabled, I don’t know my lifespan, specifically how much time I’ve got left and with how quickly my disease is progressing it’s not looking great. And like I want to have as much time as I can have with my child before I get too sick.
Now here’s what makes me a fence sitter: - I’m disabled so I would need the dad to be a very good father and provider as well as our community/loved ones support. We’d need a lot of support, maybe I can get that through my governments disability fund and the parenting initiatives in my country, but still we’d need support. - I’m terrified I’ll be a bad parent, I’m in therapy and I feel so ready (mentally), but all the what ifs have a nagging effect on me - I loooove my free time and money, I love going to the gym super late and being able to whatever I want whenever I want, but I also feel like having a child would bring back a lot of structure into my life - everything else, like climate change, the economy, human rights being fucked with of destroyed, the threat of a nucleaworld war, just the day to day worries we have to be burdened with as people living in 2024.
I want a child, I want to be pregnant, I want to be a parent, but holy hell I’m scared of making a mistake.

Hi, I was able to score 4 last minute eras tour tickets on Ticketmaster yesterday for Vancouver. I got 2 for Fri and 2 for Sat not knowing which night I would be able to get off work. Now I have it figured out and would like to sell the other 2, however all the tickets have a countdown on them until 3 days before the show.
Am I able to sell them on stub hub now even though they have a countdown? Could I simply transfer them to the buyer once the countdown is done? Or do I need to wait until the countdown is over to sell?

Hello, I'm new to kendo (just started a few months ago) and I'm looking to get a shinai. I've been loaning one from one of my seniors that is a size 37 either womens or juniors with a slimmer handle/grip (hes not sure which). I'm very short (4'11") and have very small hands that make it difficult to grip regular handles. My Sensei told me I could get a 36 but I feel like the 37 is an okay size for me since I'm fairly strong, even 38 would be fine I think (I used that before I loaned the one I'm using now). My issue is I'm having trouble figuring out what to get since I need something with a slimmer handle. Do junior or womens shinai regularly have slimmer handles? Is there a good place to buy them? I'm in Canada and ordered my kendogi and hakama from Ebogu previously but I got hit with like 40$ shipping and 50$ in customs on a 100$ order (CAD) :( so if I can avoid this elsewhere that would be nice.

It's kinda weird though, that your loved one gets impressed by your sudden ability to kill. I wonder why didn't he pursue Agnia in the first place. 😂🤔

I understand that the Taurus from Impound is CCU’d so I guess melting it back down wouldn’t be very economical, and I believe I can’t gift it again (if I ever wanted to sell it).
