Hi, Id like to get some unbiased opinions about a situation Im currently dealing with, and want to see what all you resellers (and buyers) think please. Im just going to lay out the facts without disclosing if Im the buyer or seller, and Id appreciate if youd tell me what your thoughts are. Who is in the wrong? Neither, both?
Buyer purchases some new in box boots from Seller, accepting an offer of 15% off listing, it came out to about 90$ after shipping. Photos show the original Dr Marten box in good condition in almost all photos, but the listing does not mention the box in the listing.
Boots are shipped in the original box, and original box arrives to buyer with tape, shipping label, sharpie marks and box damage. The boots inside are undamaged.
Seller did not mention to buyer the boots would be shipped in the shoe box, and the buyer did not ask that it not be. Here is their messages: (I would screenshot but that would reveal who is who).
BUYER: Hi! I was planning on giving these shoes as a gift, and I bought them because it had the original box in great condition. By shipping them using the box as the shipping box, that is no longer possible. Its extremely damaged. I'm pretty disappointed by that.
SELLER: Hello! Sorry to hear that, but you didnt mention that when you sent the offer. I cant guarantee the shipping box has to be in a good condition. Specially when I dont get directions on how to ship your shoes. Usually boxes are disposable. My apologies about the shipping.
So resellers.... whats your verdict? Do you ship shoes in original shoe boxes too? Would this be grounds for a return? (its Mercari). Im truly curious if the buyer is unreasonable for wanting the original box as shown in pictures. Thank You!

I got a ton of DM's from people wanting to buy that controller but life got in the way and after two years (ouch) I've finally come back to the project. It can be ordered off of Tindie: Universal Bike Controller from Greco Engineering Solutions LLC on Tindie
A few things:
- This is not a commercial product, it is an 'open source' project
- This means it isn't as 'polished' as one might expect from a commerical product, the housing is 3d printed and the screen graphics are fairly simple
- Public engineering files: uBike: The Universal Bike Controller
- This makes your bike work like a smart trainewatt bike, however, be wary that the Nordictrack power indication is not nearly as accurate as these purpose-built bikes. Accuracy will be the same as the current iFit console
- Please check your screen has the red and yellow connectors - If not you will have to buy the necessary cables from HydraFitness. They're not difficult to replace and are really the same process if you assembled the bike yourself.
- You can get later feature updates via update with a smart phone application over Bluetooth - So if there's new features later (ex - ERG mode) you can get that later for free given you can walk through some simple instructions
- There is a sub you can join, uBikeController, if you have further questions
- Half the hardware I had on hand is sold already, when the last few go it'll probably take me ~3 weeks to get new stock in. I just don't want to gamble buying new stock if current inventory isn't selling.

Jestem w trakcie oglądania podcastu z udziałem Neila deGrasse Tysona, gdzie padło dość ciekawe stwierdzenie: pismo ręczne pozwala na przekazanie znacznie większej ilości informacji, ponieważ stan emocjonalny autora może wpływać na charakter pisma w danym momencie, często mimowolnie, a czasami intencjonalnie. Maszyny do pisania sprawiły, że każde słowo wygląda tak samo, przez co utraciliśmy tę możliwość, a wprowadzenie emotikon rzekomo jeszcze pogorszyło sprawę. Tutaj nie zgadzam się z NDT, ponieważ wydaje mi się, że emotikony właśnie ponownie otworzyły nam drogę do dekorowania przekazu emocjami, które czujemy w danym momencie, choć w znacznie mniej wysublimowanej formie. Mamy też kursywę, DUŻE LITERY oraz pogrubienie - zawsze coś.
Zacząłem się jednak zastanawiać: co dalej? Czy możemy potraktować emotikony jako fundament lub inspirację do stworzenia czegoś bardziej zaawansowanego? Dla przykładu, memy i GIFy zajęły już stałe miejsce w internetowym wachlarzu możliwości - facepalm Picarda wyraża więcej, niż tysiąc słów. Może zamiast predefiniowanych zestawów emoji oraz GIFów, moglibyśmy wykorzystać AI do dynamicznego tworzenia tzw. "pakietów ekspresji", dostosowanych do kontekstu rozmowy?
To tylko wolne przemyślenia, ale ciekaw jestem Waszych pomysłów. Być może całość nie ma sensu i powinniśmy zostać przy tym, co obecnie posiadamy, ale mam cichą nadzieję, że przed nami jeszcze wiele nieodkrytych horyzontów.

I'm prepping for the two week liquid diet required before my surgery in December, and I'm hoping for clarifications on appropriate liquids for the diet.
I know jello, pudding, and broths are fine, as well as popsicles and protein shakes. But are there any liquefied recipes that will add some variety? How "watery" does it have to be to be liquid? Are smoothies safe even though they're a bit thicker? I'm grateful for any advice! Thank you!!

Hello everyone
I'm relatively new to the boardgame community, but I have some experiences with games like Avalon.
Recently I was able to play Avalon again after a number of years and it reignited my passion for the genre and so I decided to build up my repertoire.
I started with Avalon: the big box edition (I prefer the og design of course, but the new roles sold it to me)
I also added Deception: Murder in Hong Kong and Pandemic
I also have Coup and Uno Flip
If you didn't deduce I like social deduction games yet, then here's me saying it explicitly.
Now to what's next, I saw a lot of love and hype for Feed the Kraken so I'm thinking of getting that (more social deduction ftw) I'm also planning on getting Catan for a different flavor and Dixit: Odyssey for a bit of easier games for a larger audience that doesn't need a lot of explaining.
I'm also interested in the following but they're a bit too expensive and have other personal concerns so I'm leaving them out for now: Brass: Birmingham Terrafroming Mars Unfathomable Blood on the Clocktower Nemesis Wonderland's War
I'm also contemplating these games: Faraway
And finally I was recommended these: Scout Traitors Aboard The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31 Next Station London
Now I have yet to know anything about The Thing and Next Station London, if you have any comments please do provide them.
My main question is about Scout and Traitors Aboard. I saw them both but never played either.
Scout didn't resound with me but it seems very popular with high enough fanbase and ratings online.
Traitors Aboard looks interesting for an easy social deduction game, but not much good ratings online and people complaining about it being too easy or not that good.
So my questions here is, what do you have to say about these 2 games, or do you have any further recommendations?
tl;dr Building a repertoire of board games, looking for some easy to play good games? What should be the next game I add to my list and why? Scout Traitors Aboard Something else?

so I applied for AOS IN 2023 and then changed to vawa 2024 and sent a letter of abeyance to put i485 on hold. that wa adobe in July. there’s no update on my i485 to say they received it but tracking showed it was delivered. now months later I’m seeing that they are currently receiving my i130 . I’m so worried because I’m not longer applying with i130 but i1360. I called to talk to agent they saying they can’t tell me if the letter of abeyance was received. I don’t want them to schedule me for interview for marriage when I switched to vawa. what do I do please

2024.11.26 18:20 KeyJOSH Should Omnimovement Become an Industry Standard?
 | Just to be clear, I'm not referring to the overall pacing of the game or the ability to shoot while sliding/diving, but simply being able to sprint/slide/dive in any direction and supine prone. I played another FPS yesterday for the first time in a while, and it felt very...limiting. I was surprised at how restrictive it felt not being able to sprint left/right. I was annoyed that if I was watching an angle, but wanted to move backwards into cover, I had to fully turn by back to the potential danger in order to sprint away, rather than simply jogging backwards while keeping my eyes on that angle. I'm not a movement demon. I mean, I will be if that's the style of game, but it's not the pacing I prefer. In fact, I'm one of those few that absolutely loved MW22. Treyarch have developed something special here, though. Omnimovement would benefit any style of pacing, even the most realistic Mil-Sim, because whether sprint speed and stance transitioning are super slow or super fast, the movement remains far more natural than before, and it opens up player freedom and expression. https://i.redd.it/4pcf8wczea3e1.gif I'll be honest, I was rolling my eyes when that Treyarch dev said "once you go omnimovement, you don't go back," but after 1 month in, I'm sold. I am just starting to wrap my head around the prolonged grieving process of this experience when being treated with MTX.
8/23 - found out I was pregnant 8/30 - started bleeding, betas and ultrasound. Assumed normal miscarriage.
For the next week, tested betas only to see them rising and doubling. Diagnosed PUL.
9/6 - First MTX shots. Original bleed stopped a few days before. 9/13 - Second MTX shots. 10/11 - Started period like bleeding, HCG not at 0. 10/16 - HCG hits nearly zero. Bleeding continues. 11/1 - Period returns. 11/23 - Period again. Too soon.
Where is the time to grieve? Every second of the wait to zero is filled with deep anxiety and fear of rupture. Every twinge, feeling of nausea or dizziness, and cramp filled with the dreaded “is this what it feels like?” moment. I was incapable of feeling present, constantly second guessing everything I was feeling.
When the numbers finally hit 0, it wasn’t relief that swept over me, but instead overwhelming grief, pain, guilt and shame. The feelings my body had compartmentalized to survive the wait while the MTX took over my body.
Now I’m here, a month after I’ve hit zero, suffering through another period that has come too soon, with harsher cramps and twinges in places that didn’t exist before, struggling to keep my head above water. The blood and physical discomfort, all consuming reminders of what we’ve gone through.
But none of that compares to the loneliness. I feel so completely alone in this. My partner, friends and family were deeply supportive in the beginning, deeply supportive for the wait to 0, but now it’s a month later and I feel like I should be over it. Like I have spent all my sympathy currency. I feel like I am too much and need too much and my broken body has taken too much from me.
No one has any words left to say to me, so why do I keep needing support?
Seeing a therapist to try to cope with this, but just sitting here as blood drips out of me, thinking of all of you. Your stories have made me feel less alone throughout this process. So today, I am just letting it out. Hoping if anyone else feels this way, you know you aren’t the only one.
