In Ep. 3 Scrambled Eggs, Velvette reveals to Carmilla and the other Overlords that “we” (assuming the Vees) found the angel dead on extermination day. She can also tell Carmilla was involved. Considering Vox has hypnotic powers, why would they not mount their own attack on the new extermination date?
Considering he has constant surveillance on nearly all of Hell, he could have known Charlie was mounting an attack on the Exterminators, but that wasn’t a concept until between Ep. 7 Hello Rosie
My only possible theory is Vox convinced Velvette and Valentino to allow Adam and the Exterminators to attack the hotel directly, and in turn, Alastor, but he had three episodes worth of time to do something
He’s proven he can sway Valentino, and he could have used other means to convince Velvette, considering their relaxed posture on Extermination day, but what was the plan of the hotel was decimated?

2024.11.26 16:31 MontyMoleLoreMaster What is a character both Overrated and Overhated in terms of scaling?
What is a character that is both wanked to seem way more powerful than they actually are, while also being downplayed and being treated weaker than they actually are (Bill Cipher is a good example for what comes to mind).
To make this more interesting, I think saying characters that aren't from either anime/manga or comic books would give us more options on who to count.

The usual thing for a group of characters is to be heterogeneous in terms of classes. This obeys optimization and balance within the game.
It is often argued that if the entire group are the same thing, games quickly become monotonous and people rarely want to become a character with the same class as another (but this is usually due to the desire to feel unique and different).
Here I see a failure of DM management to pose challenges for which the players are competent and the only thing they have to do to resolve situations is to use their high skills.
In the past I have experimented with games with all thieves or all clerics (I remember a very mythical MERP one with all magicians) with more or less standard situations (the classic orc attack in the middle of the night) and, as soon as the situation escape the group's comfort zone, you see authentic desperate creativity, surprising ideas and good constructive discussion.
What do you think about it? Any personal experiences?

Hello, I wanted to make a simple image hosting application. I created some endpoints and tried to verify it using Postman to send some requests. The register and login endpoints are working, but the upload endpoint, which requires user to be already logged in doesnt work (as if this particular info is never stored). In the header the Cookie Key seems to be the same in the Header but I still get 401 error. Here is my code:

Something I only noticed recently was that the seat Sevika's sitting in in her final scene is the former seat of Cassandra Kiramman. Sevika is sitting next to Shoola, where Cassandra used to sit. We know that Caitlyn had the opportunity to take the seat over or at least assume its power because of how Mel talks to her in that first meeting in the ruined council room. Mel gives her the opportunity to weigh in on the conversation because it's expected that she takes the council seat in place of her mother.
It's common sentiment that Caitlyn's act 1 actions are not really defendable or reasonable. And while the show doesn't explicitly detail her actions towards redemption (which is probably the reason most people seem to think Caitlyn folded immediately after hearing Vi call her Cupcake), we can tell she's trying to take steps to atone for her actions.
One of these moments, while still under Ambessa, is how Caitlyn banned the use of the unhabitable cells at Stillwater. I've seen a few people say she only did that to make up for her actions towards Vi, but that doesn't make a lot of sense because at the time Caitlyn had no idea she'd ever see Vi again, and Vi wouldn't really ever find out about it.
The second is the council seat. Caitlyn has met Sevika a few times, and although it's pretty much always ended up in fights (from my recollection at least?), she acknowledges that Sevika actually understands what needs to be done for the Undercity to improve. A lot of people have wondered why the Zaunites rallied behind Jinx instead of Sevika, when Sevika seems to be a much more ready leader. I think that Caitlyn recognized that Sevika and her wanted similar things for the Undercity and as a result gave up her seat to Sevika as a part of making up for what she'd done to Zaun.
I think it's a pretty important distinction to make between Piltover deciding to give Zaun a seat at the council vs. Caitlyn herself. Piltover itself didn't want Zaun to have representation, so Caitlyn took it upon herself to make it happen. I think that in the future, she continues to do things like this to make up for what she did. In my opinion when she asks if Vi is still in this fight, she means the battle to bridge the gap between Zaun and Piltover. This honestly leads pretty well to what I've heard about her character in League (I don't play myself), where she considers herself fighting for the people.
Overall I think that while she hasn't redeemed herself fully, she's clearly taking the steps to improve and make progress. I didn't ever really expect concrete proof like some people wanted her to drop to her knees begging in front of Zaun, but these few actions tell a lot about her in my opinion.
