Need Advice
I 21M am about to graduate a semester early with a degree in biology. The only thing I've learned is that I don't want a career in biology.
I plan to join the military, but have a 6 month buffer period between graduating and shipping off due to family matters.
I feel like this is the last 6 months I have before joining the real world, so I want to spend it doing something unique. Obviously I'd like to make some cash but more importantly I wanna do something that will add some identity capital to my life...learning a new skill or something of value. I'm even open to volunteering.
If anyone has suggestions or was ever in a similar situation, let me know what you did. Open to anything. Thanks

Hey all im pretty deep into a rebuild and wanted some advice/guidance. 04 suburban 1500 210k original motor. Opted to resolve lifter tick and have replace all lifters. Ive remove the heads and will be getting them serviced. I have new lifters and after inspecting all push rods and rockers im wondering if its a good idea to replace both with newer parts due to age of engine. Is there a beefier pushrod or rocker arm i should go with? Its staying stock since its my wife's daily driver. Im sure the heads will be cleaned and ported so if i get a bump on performance thats cool. Just lookog to keep the motor for another 200k. If possible.

Could it be the pills causing her hearing loss? Hear me out, I remember about 25 years ago on the Howard Stern show when they talked about creep, Rush Limbaugh losing his hearing and having to get help for that. It turns out the doctors think his heavy pill use caused the hearing loss and he was able to regain his hearing once he quit
Meredith, appears to be out of it much of the time and has difficulty forming complete coherent sentences. Some of that, of course, could be due to the lack of hearing and adjustment to the new earpiece, but my Spidey senses think this might be associated with Xanax use.
This is merely conjecture. I have no idea what is going on in her life. I’ve never met her. I was just curious about this development with her hearing loss. Are there any experts here to weigh in on this?

My husband is a phd student in his second year and has a horrible relationship with his supervisor. He has reguarly screamed at him, insulted and threatened him with destroying any future carreer oportunities in their field through unfavourable recommendations and word of mouth. As a result of this, my husband is severely burned out and depressed. He has made an appointment with his department's graduate supervisor to discuss his options and possibly see if as a last resort he could even change supervisors. However, the new graduate advisor is close friends with my husband's supervisor. Now my husband is scared to actually open up since he fears that what he'll tell the advisor could get back to his supervisor amd only make his situation worse. So are graduate advisors allowed to discuss things grad students told them with their supervisors when they're explicitly asked not to?
