while I'm stil lgoing through a rewatch (I'm at the first jerome episode), the show does from what I reccall have fantastical elements too like the hugo strange stuff or mr freeze and jerome laughing gaz (I think the show showed it can work in live action, if a show like gotham can make a bunch of batman villains work in live action then so can movies).
Ra's could also count as a less grounded element, same with poison ivy. I think if the show made riddler classic suite work well, they could've had the two face black and white design as well .

2024.11.26 18:13 GirlsBeBisexual So, I'm writing a fictional novel about an English teacher...
As the title says, I'm currently writing a novel where the main character is a trans woman who is living in stealth and teaching English in high school. I've been out of high school for fifteen years now, and obviously a novel set in the 2020s isn't quite going to be the same.
My questions, if I might be so bold as to ask, are...what would a teacher do when one of their students isn't completing assignments? Hell, are they even assigning homework anymore? I'm honestly not sure how things work.
The student in question is neurodiverse and neither she not her parents know this yet, but as a result she has developed a bit of a habit of not really trying because of how overwhelming focusing can be. For the sake of the drama of the story, the teacher is actually this student's mother's cousin, and since she is disowned and nobody actually knows that they were related besides the teacher herself, I wanted to play up that drama a bit.
I guess the question I'm actually looking for, though, is how is a teacher going to handle a situation in which one of her students needs help, but isn't asking for it? At what point is she going to attempt a conference with her parent(s)?
I'm grateful for anyone's time, I'm sure y'all are busy! >_<

Is Nemesis not that great in the solo lane?
I like taking her there, but it definitely feels like i need 2 items to go against anyone with range. (Hades, Ra,) and most melee people have a stun i’ve noticed.
Is she really not suited for solo? Should i just keep her in jungle?

I’ve settled on a Furman PL8 C E Power Conditioner, which does not accept UK Plug Sockets for my analogue gear. I need to purchase an IEC cable for each piece so I can connect my gear to the power conditioner.
What are the right cables to purchase? I hear a lot about C14 and C13 and I’m having trouble understanding what this means for my gear. I have the following:
- BAE Neve 1073 Preamp and PSU (See below)
- Tubetech CL-1B (115-230V AC)
- SSL Bus+ (100-240V AC)
- Prism Sound Titan Audio Interface (50-250V AC)
Also - about the Neve’s Voltage AC, here’s a link to a picture of the back of the unit, as it has a separate Power Supply Unit and I’m not sure what the Voltage is (or if any of this matters when purchasing a cable).

Hello All, I recently appered for Amazon SDE-1 interviews and here's how it went.
Brief background: I currently have 6 months of experience, and Amazon reached out to me for my interest in their recent APAC hirings. (They have been reaching out to many people.) I cleared OA having 2 coding questions and thier usual work simuation and workstyle assement.
Round - 1: Technical Round 1 (1 hr) - 6th Nov The interviewer was SDE-2. It started with my introduction, and then he introduced himself. Straightaway after this I was given the following problem.

First approach, O(N) time and O(N) space. Then he asked me to optimise it. Second approach, using two pointers, O(N) time and O(1) space. Interviewer seemed satisfied, and the interview ended after that. No LP questions.
Round - 2: Technical Round 2 (1 hr) - 7th Nov Two interviewers were there; one lady was SDE-1, and the other guy was SDE-3. It started with our introduction, and then they asked me some LP questions, like the last time you took ownership of something in your job.
Then I was given these two LeetCode problems.

The first problem was straightforward; I did it with O(N) time and O(N) space. They were asking me to do it in O(1) space, but initially they weren't mentioning that the output array is excluded from space complexity calculation. So I was a little confused for a while but eventually got it cleared and did what they asked.
The second problem was also easy; didn't take more time to realise that it was a binary search problem. I explained the approach to them and did it optimally on the first try.
Round - 3: Bar Raiser Round (1 hr) - 18th Nov The interviewer was the engineering manager. It was purely based on leadership principles, and no Leetcode problems were asked. The following questions were asked with few follow-ups on them.
- Current working role and responsibility.
- Last time you had to deep dive into a particular bug or task.
- Last time you had a conflict with a co-workemanager.
- How do you handle feedback, and when was the last time you received negative feedback?
- How do you keep yourself updated?
- The last time you learnt something that wasn't required at your job, what was your way of learning, and how much time did it take?
- Why do you want to work at Amazon?
Mostly, questions were around it, and for most of them I was prepared, and I didn't completely fumble for any of the questions, it went well and I was hopeful for positive results.
On 25th Nov, I received automated mail stating that my application is no longer under consideration, and no actual conversation with HR happened, so I'm yet to receive any feedback. The bar raiser went well, according to me, but I know rejection must have been because of that only, as my communication isn't at its very best.
Any tips on how to clear these behavioural interviews are welcome.

2024.11.26 18:13 robizzle82 Please help, MacBook & External Monitor driving me mad!!!
So I currently have a ASUS ROG SWIFT XG49V with 3 laptops plugged into it.
The two hdmi ports are plugged into two windows laptops. I had to fiddle with the display settings of these a little but eventually I got them to display next to each other in a 3 Picture by Picture set up.
I also have a Mac connected via display port which was also working quite nicely. However, all of a sudden I’m now unable to close the lid without the entire display turning off and the screen changing to one of the hdmi inputs stretched across the whole screen.
It’s driving me mad, pretty sure it’s to do with the output needing to be under 60hz but it makes no sense that it works fine with the lid of the MacBook open!!!

What is even our world really? Is it just a simulation being operated by the greys. ?
My one and only trip from 5 years ago lasted 40+ mins( it was on the peak of 2 drops of acid) I had a breakthrough and the trip was divided into 3 parts, each explaining the different levels of existence. The first level is the illusionary world that we live in. The second level is being controlled by the greys, maybe other beings as well? , did not see any apart from greys. The third level was the real consciousness of all living beings.
The greys were huge(I was like a liliput) and maybe only 3-4 in no. in a very geometry less space, where they were experimenting with a couple(2-4) of humans.
They were completely uninterested in me, I tried to get their attention to understand/talk about what was happening but only one looked at me with complete disintetest and started working on the human(male) that it was previously dissecting and re-joining.
Since this trip, I have somewhat become a bit intriqued to say the least by the greys.
Anybody had any similar experience?
