Curious what everyone's thoughts are on this. VanDerStock v Garland was a case heard earlier this term on the ATF "frame or reciever" rule. This is not a 2A case but rather another statutory case on ATF rulemaking power similar to the bumpstock ban case. The incoming Trump administration with a new AG and new ATF head is likely to reverse the biden-era Frame or Receiver policy.
Assuming they do so, what happens to VanDerStock? Does the new AG ask SCOTUS to dismiss the case? Will they rule on it anyway?

2024.11.26 17:20 Advanced_Chest1512 I try so hard and yet I never get what I want
It feels like the more I try the worse my life is.
I want to address my mental health issues and dedicate myself to following my therapists suggestions and advice and yet I feel worse.
I want to get stable employment so I send 2 job applications every single day without fail and yet I have no job.
I want to work on my health so I eat well and exercise and yet i get injured and can't lift heavy things with my left arm.
I want to make memories and try interesting things and actually do something exciting for new years eve in my city, so I make detailed plans, suggest interesting, cheap things to my friends and try and do something interesting for once in my god damn life. They don't even respond with a yes or no, if they do respond they demand so many needless concessions until each event we plan ends up inevitably being two drinks at the pub before going home at 9pm.
Despite all i've tried my life is so much worse than it was last year. My depression and anxiety have gotten worse, I have no job, far fewer friends, no ability to go out and do the things I want and I can't even look after my health like I want to. Why is it that some can have such an easy time getting exactly what they want and be satisfied and yet I try so unbelievably hard and get absolutely nowhere?

Athribis was a cult center for the worship of the god Min-Re, his wife Repyt (a lioness goddess) and their son, the child-god Kolanthes. The site stretches over 74 acres and consists of the temple complex, a settlement, the necropolis, and numerous ancient quarries."

2024.11.26 17:20 Best-Sky-8653 How is everyone going to approach Thanksgiving dinner?
I've told no one except my husband about being on semaglutide for the past month. I have a teenage daughter that I'm basically hiding this from. I don't want to have to explain it all to her right now. I'm fine with the fact that of nobody seems to have noticed that I've dropped some weight. But when it comes to holiday parties and stuff, it might get a little tricky? For Thanksgiving, we'll just have a small family thing, and I'm planning on NOT eating as much as I usually would, but I love to bake for the holiday, so I'm hoping I can enjoy a little break from my regular eating plan and have some pie and cake and all the other good stuff. I've lost 10 lb. in a month, and am happy about that. Still at the 0.25 dosage. I've totally lost the desire for alcohol, but I bought a nice bottle of white to go with the meal. Sorry for random thoughts, good luck this week!
