2024.11.26 18:30 Ok-Yogurtcloset5000 Polyp found...2 options and no help. (Advice please)
Let me start by saying months before my first round my doctor told me we would NOT be doing frozen transfers. We'd only be doing fresh transfers due to my high FSH and her feeling that my eggs may be fragile and freezing/thawing could damage them.
Fast forward to now, my second round after a first round where we retrieved 3, 2 fertilized, no blasts (but 2 morulas).
I have 4 follicles at 14mm, 14.5mm, 19mm, and 22mm.
Yesterday at the ultrasound they found a polyp. Got a call and the nurse said that the doctor now wants to do the retrieval in a few days, have me get the polyp removed in december, and do the transfer in january or february. this completely caught me off guard. what about the whole "no frozen transfers. fresh transfers only" opinion?
So I told the nurse on the phone that this is my LAST round. I want to make sure we are fully confident in what we are doing especially because my doctor was explicit about doing fresh only.
The nurse spoke to the doctor and then called me back later. THEN SHE SAID that the doctor spoke to another doctor at the clinic and he said that we should just go ahead with the fresh transfer. What??? So now I'm getting 2 completely different opinions.
Here are my options/how I see it: 1. Retrieve on friday and hope my eggs are good quality. This was a BRAND new protocol so I have no idea what it'll be like. With only 4 follicles I'm not expecting to get many. We freeze what we get and I transfer after the surgery and hope the embryos don't get damaged in the thawing process.
- Cancel and start over in January. Still get the polyp removed in December. The issue here is...what if these are THE follicles? I'd hate to waste all the medication money (I did omnitrope) and the 4 follicles.

So it’s been sometime since I deleted social media… I keep going on and off it and I was tempted to download it again and I got this interesting thought so I thought I’d put it on here!!
Two weeks into my usual “social media detox” which I have been unsuccessful at, many times, I felt this sense of loneliness, disconnection and feeling of being out of touch.
I was thinking of all my followers/ following online and wondering what they were doing and how incomplete my life felt without them…..until, I learnt that the people I’m close to and my friend circle was just that. They were available on call/text. So was social media giving an illusion of having SO many people? The false idea that scrolling mindlessly thru stories and reels of people I’ve met once or twice who couldn’t care less about me, gave me. It’s not this sudden realisation of “oh wait I only have 4 friends and some family” but “oh wait I’ve been so invested in the lives of people, who if I see in real life, I won’t have much to talk about rather than a hi/hello”
You see, I’m quite introverted and I thought I was friends with the people I had on my social media- until I saw some in person and they treated me almost like a stranger. It made me reevaluate so much. I learnt that I have sense of energy depletion, lack of interest in connecting and meeting people because my IG has been making me feel like I already know so many people!!

I tested out some Aeron remastered chairs in B and C size. I am curious if anyone else who had sat in both have notices a difference in the depth of clearance between the mesh and the seat pan frame at the front of the chair. To me, it felt like the front of the B was springier, more taut, and maintains more clearance from the frame. Has anyone else notices something similar?

I've seen hints around that it may be possible to increase the base pressure on the ramp feature of an Airsense 11, but I haven't seen any confirmation or guides. Is it possible to boost the ramp from 4 to something like 7 or 8? I like the ramp feature, but when I've tried to switch from a nasal pillow to a full face mask, there's not enough pressure to breathe comfortably.
