I've been working for them for a year now as a Translator. There were some weird things with payments from the very beginning, but since there were quite few projects, I didn't pay much attention to it. But recently my workload has increased significantly, and the problems became more obvious. Despite the contract stating payments should be done 45 days after the invoice submission, they pay after 60 days the earliest and only after reminding and begging for weeks. They always say that there was some disruption in the Financial department which has been lasting for 6 months now, and nothing seems to change. Do you experience the same problems? If so, how did you solve this? Thanks

Quattro anni fa sono stato vittima di una truffa online, ma fortunatamente sono riuscito a recuperare tutto senza subire alcuna perdita economica. Qualche settimana dopo i fatti, sono stato contattato dai carabinieri di Bari, che mi hanno informato dell’arresto dei truffatori: avevano infatti trovato sui loro dispositivi i miei dati e i relativi messaggi scambiati, motivo per cui mi hanno invitato a sporgere querela, cosa che ho fatto.
Da allora non ho più ricevuto notizie fino a circa un mese fa, quando sono stato citato come testimone dal pubblico ministero. L’udienza è fissata per febbraio presso il tribunale di Bari. Per me sarebbe molto complicato partecipare, sia perché vivo a Verona, sia perché nella stessa data e nelle date vicine ho due esami universitari già programmati.
C’e qualche modo per non andare a testimoniare? Rimettendo la querela, sarei esonerato dall’obbligo? In alternativa, esistono altre modalità (ad esempio, testimonianza a distanza) per non dover presenziare fisicamente?

University Dorm Romance: Two strangers, both with secrets and flaws, are assigned as dormmates for the year. At first, they can barely stand each other-snide remarks, awkward misunderstandings, and unresolved tension mark their interactions. But as the months pass, something begins to shift. A slow-burn romance builds as they find themselves dancing between attraction and loathing. Jealousy, love triangles, and heated arguments add to the mix, creating a complex web of emotions.

title, I was wondering if anyone can relate or if this even makes sense because for me I always feel it as damage from calories and as ruining myself or punishing myself etc
also there were times where I was literally unable to binge and I would just bash my wrist against my bedframe like a rage or poke myself in the fingers and toes with like needles and small nail scissors and stuff basically anything I could hide unlike cuts etc and I am getting intrusive thoughts over it and thats why I am worried this and these binge attacks is really just me wanting to harm myself???

My 8-year-old found my only Maiden record last year (Number of the Beast) and is obsessed and has used his allowance to buy Piece of Mind, Powerslave, and 7th Son.
He would be stoked to get tickets for Christmas, and he will be in Germany during these dates but trying to decide what venue for a little guy. Bremen is the best location and date for us, but a little worried he won't see anything in a General Admission show. Has anyone seen Maiden at that venue? The other option is Berlin but only nose bleeds are left.

Brandied Cherries
Ingredients
1/2 cup water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 tsp orange zest
1 cup brandy
pinch of nutmeg
pinch of allspice
1 cinnamon stick
2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 pound, sweet cherries, pitted
Instructions
Wash and pit the cherries.
In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except the cherries and brandy. Bring to a roiling boil.
When it begins to boil, reduce heat to medium. Add cherries and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Remove from heat, add brandy and let cool.
Transfer the cherries into clean jars and refrigerate, uncovered, until cherries are cool to the touch.
Cover tightly and refrigerate.
