Hi all! I live in Yuzawa, Japan and I have an apartment available for rent if anyone is interested in staying in Yuzawa for the 24/25 season.
It is mainly a monthly rental but if you need it for less time I can see if I can accomodate :)
It's located right at the bottom of Maiko Ski Resort - Fun mountain with Tree runs, a park with a variety of kickers, super long courses with lots of fun walls and mini jumps and mogules!

I am in the second year of my bachelors in data science and AI, and I have no idea what exactly I want to become.
I am interested in computer science and math (hence my degree), so when I first hear of quantitative finance, it really sounded like a fit. But now I more and more realise that I have been too much of an underachiever. I did not study until my final year of high school which consequently landed me in a non-target university in the Netherlands.
In my first semester I was really just scrapping by, primarily because I was lazy. Unfortunately, this is what screwed me. Now that I have given more of an effort, I am looking at a GPA of 7.5/10 which is around 3.5-3.7 US. I have come to accept that GPA will likely never be enough for a job as a quant. Of course I will not stop trying, but I just wanted to know what advice you guys could give me.
Is there still hope?
Are there some alternative career paths you would recommend that are less reliant on an outstanding GPA/target uni, and are similar to what a quant does, i.e., finance and math/CS?
Please also let me know if you think there is a better subreddit for this advice.

I happened to be browsing reddit the other day and found the pinned post for What to Listen to Next. I really liked it and it inspired me to make a little musical randomizer that I thought people might be interested in. Especially living in a Spotify world, I was a bit nostalgic for the days of Itunes Random Albums :(
Musical/Cast Album Randomizer
I think you would need to make a copy of the sheet in order to make edits. The front page will spit out a random musical (press F5 to re-roll) and then if you head over to the second tab you can see a full list of the musicals I have. If you put an X into column F then it won't let that musical come up in the randomizer again until you remove the X.
It's a relatively quick list I put together of shows so if you spot something missing give me a shout and I'll add it!

2024.11.26 22:19 Sharp_Offer_1831 Post-op Day 12 - ACL Reconstruction and Meniscus Repair
Hi everyone, I’m on day 12 post-op after ACL reconstruction and repair of both menisci. I’ve been doing physiotherapy twice a week, but I feel like it’s not enough. Each session lasts about 45 minutes, where we do a few exercises, and then my physiotherapist tells me to continue at home.
I’ve reached 90 degrees of flexion on day 3 post-op ana I can't go for more and achieved full extension after just 1 day. However, I’m currently non-weight bearing for 6 weeks as per my surgeon’s instructions.
I’m curious to know: 1. How often are you going to physio each week? 2. Is it okay to just do the exercises at home without going to physio as often?

I read it was safe to using whitening gel during treatment even with attachments. So I did a good amount of whitening during treatment because it was hard to keep them from yellowing with all the drinks I drink. So I just recently got all my attachments off and was honestly kind of worried there would be spots underneath where the attachments were, but luckily no. All the teeth were uniformly the same color. So just a psa that yes you can use gel (not strips obviously) to whiten during treatment. I used Opal essence 35% carbamide peroxide.

My idea was to have a 30-gallon tank on top with two 50-liter barrels underneath to achieve better water parameters. The design is simple: I want to connect a tube from the 30-gallon tank that will flow down through mechanical filtration before reaching the first barrel. The first barrel will contain some ceramic media for biological filtration. After this, the water will flow through a tube that connects it to the second barrel, which contains chemical filtration media. This tube will have some space at the top, allowing water to flow through if the chemical filtration gets clogged. The second barrel acts as a backup; it holds more water, providing steadier conditions. It also makes water changes easier because I can empty and refill it with fresh water. Will this design work effectively?

My work is giving 1st and 3rd shift 4 day weekends while 2nd shift (my shift) only gets a 3 day weekend for the holiday. So I work at a factory and we have 3 shifts in total. 2nd and 3rd shift work Sunday-Thursday and first shift works Monday-Friday normally. For thanksgiving my work is shutting down Wednesday evening so first shift gets Thursday-Sunday off and 3rd is getting Wednesday-Saturday off but 2nd shift is scheduled to work 5 hours on Wednesday.
Luckily they’re giving us an extra 8 hours of PTO but we are required to use 3 of those hours when we leave early on Wednesday because we are only scheduled for 5 hours and they told us we have to use PTO for the ones we are missing. That’s not fair at all. Why the hell does everyone else get a 4 day weekend and we only get a 3day weekend? Before I get hate in the comments I do know that a lot of people don’t even get any time off and I do sympathize with you all because I was in a position like that for 4 years.
It’s just not fair.

My pup is 6 month old and she has not started her heat , never had one for now
But she is starting to have some abnormal behavior , She eat less , sometimes she refuse to eat for an entire day and will eat at like 12pm and it’s no more than just a few bites And have a tendency to be either extra cuddly and cmingy or just hide under my bed for hours ane don’t want to move , she just sleeps but it’s not like her usual nap , she sleep a lot , pr at least she is very calm
So I was wondering if this can be pre-heat symptoms ?
And if yes , I can let her rest but how can I make her eat ? I don’t want her health declining ..

He has to have something crazy up his sleeve. I can’t fathom someone maneuvering a beef this clumsily without clear intent. I don’t believe any amount of ego or humiliation would influence this kind of behavior. Everything seems like a calculated misstep.
The funny photos (maybe he’s always been goofy, idk), the terrible response record (no way he thought “this will sway public opinion of me”), the emotional rambling (fake friends, being physically intact, memes, etc.), the petition (aside from telling on himself, UMG is basically God in music), the unusual features (“Delilah”, Camila Cabello, in the middle of a RAP beef) Could he really just be that… dumb…?
