I've been trying to find a chopping board that isn't made of acacia or bamboo as I am trying to buy a decent one. I know maple and walnut are good but there are obviously a lot of different types of these woods. So a couple of days ago I (F20) decided that I wanted to invite my friends for a small party. So I invited them and excitedly planned on what to cook. I had my recipes ready and ready to go. But fast forward a few days later the day before (today) they tell me that they aren’t able to make it (appointment and school). I don’t know what to do should I be understanding and plan another day or should I distance myself from them. I would also like to add that I noticed without being biased that I mainly put in the effort to make plans. It always me reaching out to them never them. I’m tired of always having to put in the effort or do you think I should be more understanding of them and their situation? Advice please. If you have any questions please let me know or if it doesn’t make sense. Thank you in advance! <3
TL;DR: I made plans with my friends for breakfast and they canceled on me the day before due to other responsibilities.

2024.11.27 00:30 Viper_Two_Actual The latest SPC outlook (Day 3) has me in a tizzy

Just to preface I am in no way an accredited meteorologist, I'm my own professor but anyways I saw that the people at the SPC seem to agree that severe weather could impact cental Georgia on Thanksgiving. They seem hesitant to put it out as a severe weather day given the low risk for my area but a sentence caught my eye. It went as follows:
"deep-layer shear will remain more than supportive of organized storms including supercells and linear structures as the day progresses. Should greater instability develop than currently anticipated, a corridor of higher severe probabilities within the Marginal Risk area would be warranted."
With that I want to throw out two questions for some of you more experienced in meteorology,

Does this warrant an extra eye over the next couple of days just to keep informed or should I disregard this as a option to chase? (Not saying ignore entirely, been there made that mistake)
What would you do in this scenario? (I should mention a good portion of my family will be in groups across the watch area, should I throw out a heads up to them?)

Part of me is worried because if you know anything about central Georgia it ain't nothing but pine trees and double wide trailers and should something pop off I'd hate to be that guy that is celebrating a good chase while someone is picking up their home piece by piece. Although, I have to admit when I read that supercells may be present my initial response was rather excited. We just don't get supercells let alone the chance for organized cells. Everything I've seen living here has been some sort of QLCS event barring April 27th 2011 and some other dates that slip my mind
I'm eager to hear what you guys have to say and I'm most definitely eager to learn something new so let me know!

I saw it in another fandom group and just had to share it here...
Simon cheating on Izzy was the most ridiculous idea and left such a bad taste in my mounth, especially since she ends up forgiving and marrying him. IMO Cassandra wanted the fourth book to develop other characters other than Jace and Clary, leave them a bit on the background until the finale and she couldn't grasp anything worth it. Literally, Izzy could've taken sometime processing Max's death, maybe trainning harder and Simon could've helped her with that, maybe more vampire trouble, ANYTHING, but noooo, he had to be a cheater.
Also, Maia can't catch a break: from Simon to Kyle... suffering black woman trope. I didn't like that either.

2024.11.27 00:30 DaddyKratos94 Filament recs for outdoor projects?

So I've been watching tons of YouTube videos about filaments and printer features to figure out what will fit my use case but I'm still not 100% sure will work the best since I've never used a 3D printer.
I want to make my own automated vegetable gardening systems with 3D printed parts as well as any other various little tools or parts I'll need around the place. So I need something that can stand up to constant stress as well as heavy light/heat exposure.
From the limited knowledge I've gained I think ASA would be the best bet for something like a hydroponic grow tower but I heard it can warp and doesn't stick unless you're using an enclosed printer with temp controls. I wanted to ask people with more knowledge their opinions on that. Plus recs on a printer with at least a 400³ space that can handle that type of filament. Thanks!

Let me start by saying I am in no way claiming to know EVERYTHING about this game. That being said, Ive done most endgame content, have leveled to 60 multiple times, etc. Like most of you reading this, I was doing a silver mine run and going about the run "as usual". I've always cleared the relic hunters, scorpions and queen. Use sorcery to gather resources, pop chests, out. This run however, I was pointing my camera around to find the resources and noticed the mining platforms going high into the chamber. I jokingly thought 'it would be cool if you could climb up there'. I thought this because, as most of us are aware, in dungeons= 'you cannot climb this' You know where this is going... I've been playing for years. Years! I never knew that not only can you climb up there, but there's a TON of chests! Please, for my sanity, someone please comment that you never knew this until now or something. Please...how much lot have I missed... 😫
