I had my character for 2 weeks straight, some how he was the luckiest character I've had in over 750hours of game time.
It started out pretty slow, I had found just enough food to stay alive, a AUG without a magazine and no ammo. Then my good luck charm (my nephew) came in to watch me play. I found 2 bases, one was raided but had a few useful items inside, and the other was in the middle if being built an the builders didn't account for every way off getting in. I got a bunch of ammo, magazines, food, medical supplies from that base.
Later on, a few days later I find a Savanna. Got a cool outfit going on. It felt like the luck was never gonna run out. However luck always runs out..
Just today it started raining, So I layed low in a random town in one of the houses when what looked to be a freshie walked in. That was the beginning of my downfall. I got scared cause it was so unexpected. I killed the person an only after realising they looked fresh, I felt bad but I moved on. The worst part is that, I could of just walked out and let them be, or tried to comunicste with them instead but I just paniced. I then ran up the road trying to look for a place to stay out of the rain at.
The moment I spotted the best place here comes 2 players running up on the opposite direction. 1v2 we aimed our guns at each other for a second, they started blasting knocking me unconcious. When I wake up, I'm tied up and they are feeding me human flesh, laughing, and taking everything I got. After a few minutes of messing with me, they put me down.
TL:DR I found a lot of gear in bases that we're just open for looting, and figured I'd take as much as I can carry cause no one was there to protect it. I survived for 2 weeks in RL time. Then I took cover from rain in a random house, where a random freshie ran up on me and didn't see me, shot them in a panic felt bad than ran to find a different house, where I ended up running up on 2 other players who had unconned me, had there with me, and ended my journy.

I have a 2010 Ford Escape that I bought used last year. I did a lot of highway driving last year and it was fine. Just this year I’ve noticed that the car feels like it’s not following my steering the way it used to. Not sure if it’s related but it makes a clunking noise when I’m driving along curved roads (only to the right). At this point I’m trying to decide if it’s worth it to repair or if I should get a new used car. Anyone know what might be wrong? Can I go to a mechanic and ask them to check out my car?

First time. 2hrs@137 -> reverse sear cast iron. Could use some advice Some questions for anyone’s insight :
  1. How heavily should I salt when brining ? Picture above was salt brined overnight but I only put the normal amount I would if I were seasoning to eat. I’ve read opinions ranging from absolutely cover to a light sprinkle. Also, does an overnight brining really help? I compared it to a 1 hour and didn’t notice too much a difference. Maybe I wasn’t salting enough.
  2. I put aromatics and butter in the sous vide bag and the steak was obviously quite wet when I pulled it out. Tried drying with paper towels but I’m sure a lot of moisture was retained and the meat was pulling apart a bit as I tried to pat dry. I also baste w/ same aromatics and butter when reverse searing. Is it redundant to do both? Is aromatics/butter in a sous vide bag counterproductive when considering effect on sear? Should I only do one or the other ?
  3. When is the best time to season? I found myself seasoning three times. Once when brining, again when sous vide, and then a final time right before sear. It STILL needed a touch of salt on consumption. I’m sure I’m underseasoning at all stages but curious to know when exactly I should be seasoning for best flavor and sear

Hey guys, I'm 39, never married, no kids. I live alone since I moved to another country looking for a better quality of life. That said, I find myself very lonely even though I have friends. Most of them are engaged or married, if not all. The same goes for my family.. everyone is married and has kids.
I just work like a dog and have 2 days to recharge and get back at it again.
Ive had relationships here but none have worked out and its been a year since I met or dated anyone. Im starting to feel that I will die alone and no one will ever love me.
I could really use some advice. I am taking anti depressants but theres only so much they can do. Its a bandaid fix, not a real one.
