2024.11.27 00:24 Mirrayagang Special teams thoughts
So it seems like for the time being weāre probably still stuck with Spott. However (and this was just shower musings this morning I havenāt had the chance to look at stats yet), per the eye test it looks like the Stars are one of the best in the whole league at 5v5 which shows up in being ranked where they are while the power play is near the bottom and penalty kill canāt handle strong PPs like Carolina and Winnipeg. So I know conventional wisdom is put more forwards out when you have the man advantage, more guys who are specialised at scoring, but it also seems like conventional wisdom for anyone playing the Stars is just make a blue line stand and intercept the drop pass and either clear it right back down or if theyāre coming fast maybe make a shorthanded break. Why not just keep a normal 3f 2d group out there? They do well with that at even strength, so it seems like more space, and maybe less aggression and resorting to nonstandard tactics would help since the team can create with those normal groupings but canāt play up a man. Basically we all see this is a good team, and yet going on the power play makes them actively worse, so why change anything at all about the guys on the ice and how theyāre playing until strategies change so itās actually an advantage.
Obviously this ramble only deals with the power play so trying to figure out how to make the PK hold against good teams is going to take action from someone, but both sides of special teams gave up two goals last night and either one holding would have saved the embarrassment that was the ending of that game.
Anyway, a bit longer than I thought this would be, Iām just annoyed and disappointed from last nightās collapse, sorry all. Hopefully they bounce back tomorrow, wish I had a longer layover at OāHare. Go Stars!

Slight trigger warning for non-consensual touching. Hi there! For the past few nights iāve had trouble sleeping after an event that took place over the weekend. My (f18) family had some close family friends over including the nephew (m17) of my godmother, who iāll call james. James has autism with reasonably low supports needs, however he does have different ways of expressing affection. I have seen him 3 times in the past 3 years, and iām growing increasingly more uncomfortable with his behaviour. It came to a head when we separated from the rest of the group to watch TV in the living room. We started on opposite ends of the couch but he slowly edged his way towards me, until eventually he was sitting right next to me. He hugged me; which I didnāt mind, as I myself am a physically affectionate person, but I was launched out of my comfort zone when he pulled my legs onto his lap and buried his face in my neck. I wasnāt entirely comfortable but I figured he had just had a long day and needed a long hug, but I felt weird about it because he seemed to feel like he was doing something wrong. Every time he would hear someone coming he would leap up and pretend he hadnāt just been literally sniffing my neck, and he began to shut the door fully before returning and putting me in the same position. Then I became very uncomfortable because I felt that he had grown hard. He tried to kiss me but luckily he didnāt get too because his Mum came in to tell him they were leaving soon. I decided to get up and leave but when his mum left and he saw I was getting up he hugged me once more and kissed me on the lips. It wasnāt a long kiss, but it made me very uncomfortable as I havenāt kissed anyone on the lips apart from my gf in about a year. Thanks to the few minutes that followed it didnāt feel platonic either which made me very upset because I had always seen him as a younger cousin type figure. I need advice on how to interpret it. I myself am a low supports need autistic girl, but I was diagnosed just 3 months ago and still know very little about how it presents in other people. I guess what iām saying is it would help me to process it if I had a sense of if he knew what he was doing or not. I know itās not entirely his fault, and that it wasnāt that big of a deal, but iāve just felt really gross and violated ever since, and have been wondering what could have happened had I not left when I did. Any advice or experience of a similar situation so I have an idea of how to deal with this would be greatly appreciated, thank you :))

Recently I have noticed my father saying this same thing over and over, āThe way you eat will catch up to you one dayā. Itās typically when I am grabbing a snack or a meal from the kitchen. Iāll admit I donāt always choose the healthiest dish in the world lol, but I am a healthy weight (5ā5ā, 120lbs).
He always makes comments that when Iām 10 years older (Iām 22) I will be fat if I continue eating like this. Maybe I will be, but last I checked weāre not 10 years into the future. I cried the last time he said this to me and am starting to realize how much it impacts me.
I asked him why he felt like speaking to me that way, and his response was basically āIām just telling you the truthā. And even when I told him I found it disrespectful he didnāt seem to care.
I have struggled with eating in the past, but I was able to develop a good relationship with food. No one in my family knows about this though, and their comments about my appearance can mess with me sometimes. Even if they have good intentions.

I have a bad service line between meter pedestal and panel inside my mobile home. It is 4/0 awg. There are two lines, one is good, the other has very low voltage. Will a fluke ts90 fault finder help me to determine the area of the fault?? Figured i can disconnect both lines and measure them from each end. Should i disconnect ground and neutral as well to get best reading? Any info would help. Trying to locate spot to dig without spending a fortune!

for context:
so I watercooled my pc but due to the resistance in my loop the pumps I have do not meet the head pressure requirements so I found a different pump.
the Koolance pmp 600
alas it operates as either a 12v DC or 24v DC pump up to 2.3amps 52 watts with no pwm so I can't control it based on anything such as temperature like I could other d5 pumps.
so my question to you is: is there some way to control a motor with a pwm signal if the motor does not have pwm terminals??
