Hi - I'm wondering if anyone can clarify the process for getting a Nova Scotia drivers license. I am a US citizen, but a Canadian permanent resident, and I'm hoping to get my license quickly because I need it to get my vehicle insured in Canada. Novascotia.gov says that the license is processed immediately when you apply at Access Nova Scotia (https://novascotia.ca/sns/paal/rmv/paal269.asp), but I've also heard that they may have changed the process and now they mail the license to you and you need to wait a couple weeks. Does any one have recent experience with this? What is the wait time like?

I work at a VFW (club) bar and have been for the past three years in my very small town. The man who runs the behind the scenes of the club/post has been giving me a hard time for the entire time I’ve worked there. He has yelled at me in front of a bar full of people countless times. Keep in mind, I have a bar manager, who is my technical boss. I am also the youngest working her being a 21 year old woman, and this man is well into his 60s. Recently, there was an incident about two months ago where he put his finger in my face and angrily told me to shut up. I had had enough so I said quite a few choice words, but I do not regret anything I said. After that, he decided to give up his position as the ‘boss’. Or so he said. Recently he decided he didn’t want to quit, and there is no one who wants to take over his job or even cares enough to say anything. I had told myself and my manager since the moment that he put his finger in my face, I will not serve him or deal with him unless he apologizes for the way he spoke to me. Tonight, our club had a meeting and he showed up, and I was working. The last meeting our club had, he just walked right past the bar and did not look at me, ask for a drink, or try to apologize. Tonight he came up to the bar with money in his hand and just stared at me. I politely, but sternly told him he can sign our book but I will not serve him. He was not happy about that, and I assume he was also embarrassed since there were quite a few people there. Tonight at the meeting, he told my bar manager that if I do not serve him he will get the board together and they will fire me. My manager pulled me out back and I could tell by the look on her face it was not good. She told me this, and I told her that that is not right. I should not be forced to do something I am not comfortable with. She basically told me I had no choice, and there was nothing she could do. Her and I get along very well, however she never says anything or pushes back in situations like this. She lets this man run and rule everything, even when she has an equal amount of say. I told her I quit, and I will not be forced to do anything. I walked back out to the bar and gathered my things. Everyone at the bar was upset, and also felt the situation was wrong. My manager gave me a hug and I left. I am just looking for some feedback. I am very upset, I have been here for the past three years, and have been working there longer than anyone else, even my manager. I feel as though my right to not serve this man is completely justified. If he had warranted a conversation or apology, I would have absolutely been open to that and would have loved to console the situation. But that was not the case. I have too much self respect for myself to make myself serve and deal with a 60 year old man who feels it’s okay to speak to me like that and then pretend like it didn’t happen.

My son was born via scheduled C-section at 39 weeks. At birth he was transferred to the NICU due to abnormal movements. Both his arms and legs would shake in a rhythmic motion. 5 days in the NICU resulted with no answers. His heart rate remained normal as well as his O2. He had normal EEGs and a normal brain MRI. We were discharged home and began our journey for answers. His abnormal movements faded over time; legs stopped shaking first around 2-3 months followed by his arms shortly afterwards. He has been in intensive PT 2x weekly since he was 5 months old. Repeat EEGs have been age appropriate. Spinal MRI at age 2 was normal. Physical assessments have revealed low tone and absent reflexes throughout by multiple providers. We have been followed by PT, neurology, genetics, neonatology, and orthopedics. He is also being monitored for hip dysplasia. For 2 years we have come up empty handed on every test thrown his way. He also had a genetic panel done at birth that showed nothing abnormal. No doctor could diagnose him with anything other than a "gross motor delay." He has been consistently months behind his gross motor milestones. My husband and I could not accept that a gross motor delay was the answer as we watched him continue to struggle. His lower extremities were like jelly, he collapses at the knee when trying to walk. He has a wide base and his upper body would move forward and his lower body would appear to not receive the message to follow suit. Finally, genetics ordered an exosome panel, blood was collected from myself, my husband, and my son. He tested positive for a MPZ gene mutation which corresponds to CMT 1b. Now this is where all of my questions come in to play. Currently, we have seen 2 neurologists and 2 genetic specialists regarding his new diagnosis and all of them have told us they have never seen this gene mutation (which is the most common) present so early and with such severity. An EMG, muscle, or nerve biopsy is not currently indicated in someone so young because of the invasive nature and the results won't change his current treatment. He is still in PT 2x weekly, OT 1x weekly, and water therapy. He uses ground reaction AFOs and a crocodile walker to ambulate but cannot walk independently. His cognitive and language development are outstanding. His problems remain only with his gross motor skills. Does anyone know of similar cases? This mutation is also "de novo" meaning neither myself or my husband carry this mutation, making it even more unique. This mutation usually doesn't present itself until later in life and as a mother I can't accept not knowing what to expect in the years to come. Any and all information would be helpful.

 | Last week I decided I wanted a 357sig. Not really sure why. So I ordered 2000pcs of brass off MeWe to start working. I ordered 3000 124gr hst extra outside of my 9mm stash. Just because I knew I was gonna get one. Wasn’t set on how. Was looking at 229s in 40 then doing the conversion barrel and changing stuff up some. Stopped at a little shop today in Tucson az. They had 5 229s in 40cal. A 226 in 40cal. Then this little bastard. It’s exactly what I wanted other than not being an elite. I guess I can’t win them all. Ordered 3 15rnd mags. A spring kit. Now looking at replacement sights and grips. Has the SRT kit in it already. And the bar dot sight set up, I’ve never shot them.  | Hi, I invested in a permanent light kit from ambientlights.com, but have been having trouble getting the material I ordered delivered to me. It's been two months, and at first they sent the wrong tracks, and now I found they missed a controller box. The only way I'll get this stuff installed by Christmas this year, is if I try to source the missing material myself. I have all the lights and one controller box, and have identified a handful of components that I can buy on Amazon. But I'm still can't figure out the connector that screws into the power supply and attaches to to the LED strip. Maybe if someone can help me ID the LED, I would be able to finish putting together the missing parts. Does anyone recognize the following LED strip? So for those who haven't seen the movie Fallen a malevolent entity can jump bodies by touching people with it's host body. So here's the rub:
You become a near immortal being but you can not exist outside of a "host". The rules are as follows:
You can remain in any animal host for a maximum of 36 hours.
While in a host you gain access to all the information/knowledge they possess.
Once you have "possessed" a host you can never return to their body after you leave.
If you leave the host better off than when you possessed them you maintain a 36 hour time limit per host. (This is subjective but you know their info so you know how to do that. It doesn't even have to be dramatically better.)
If you leave them worse than when you possessed them the only downside is you lose an hour to your max timer forever. So fuck over 36 people and you're dead.
If you are in their body and they die you die.
If you remain in a host longer than your max timer you become stuck. That is your body now and you die when it dies.
To switch bodies you must physically touch the body (skin to skin). Can be as little as a poke or even a handshake etc.
Who would you possess? What would you do? Would you just use your body jumping to pick someone you admire and live the rest of their life on their body? Would you fuck anyone over?
